I have a severe blackhead problem, and I spent a fortune trying to find a product that actually works, but had no luck until I bought this. I read good reviews of this product, and I was skeptical at first, since I had no success with any other product, but decided to give it a try. LOVE it. It really gets out all the dirt and oil & tightens pores. I also love the tingling sensation that you get as it dries, and my skin glows after I wash it off. The only problem I have with this is that it's hard to remove once it dries, but I just use a wet towel to get the mask off. Some people think it's too expensive and I thought so too, but after the results, it's definitely worth the price & I will repurchase. continued >>

I really love this product. Without fail, my face is always much smoother after i put this on. I followed someone's advice on this site by applying a thin layer, allowing that to dry and then applying another. Its time consuming but has good results.

If you dont have time to steam your face, put a hot damp flannel on your face for a few seconds, longer in the areas of concern. This mask helps draws out a lot of impurities and sometimes will bring a spot to a head at once, so its best not put on if you're about to go out! And i wouldnt advise doing this just before bed.

I think this is easily my favourite mud mask, its a bit expensive but you can use it in areas that you feel need clearing as opposed to your entire face. I use this all over my face and it always last at least 6 months+. I think thin-moderate layers are good and that slapping too much on isnt really necessary.

I'd leave it on as long as you can possible stand and dont try to talk/laugh or move your face in general!

I have combination skin and rarely break out, but I love (let me repeat- LOVE) to use this mask when my skin is feeling tired, or when I think it needs a little booster. After I use it, I see a marked difference in my skin texture. My face actually GLOWS and looks brighter and healthier. I recommend this to everyone and even though it may not be the cheapest mask out there, this bottle lasts quite a long time.

i was super excited to try this mask out but unfortunately i ended up hating it so i returned it! i did like the fact that after i used it my skin felt really soft, however whenever i would use it i would get HUGE PIMPLES on my cheeks! That is something that has never happened to me before!! So the lady at the store told me that it was "normal" to break out a little after using this because its clearing all your pores out, but i just couldnt take it!! Back to the store it went! :)

the price of this product is quite expensive so that is one of the reasons i wouldn't repurchase this, especially with the results it gave me. this mask made me break out. not horifically, but i did notice about 4 blemishes. i thought it was just my face getting used to the product, but i've used it for a couple of months now and it still breaks me out. the packaging i good because you can see how much you have left and it is in a squeezy tube, and i also like how it is fragrance free. the consistency of the product is good, it's a lot thin ner than other clay masks and dries a lot quicker so it's good if you're in a rush :) but due to the breakouts and price, i won't be repurchasing... although it did mattify my skin :)

This is a great product! Worked extremely well on my pores and overall makes the skin very soft, purified and refreshed. Also, one tube lasts for really long time even though I apply it generously. The only very minor downsides are that 1) it dries fast so may be challenging to remove from areas like temples or near nostrils and 2) dark black color - may get under your nails when applying or washing it off. However, these two properties are because of the charcoal which is the whole point of this mask so they are not problems at all. This product is pretty good and resets my face after throwing too many products at it. I have cystic acned but no matter what dynamite I throw at my face it doesn't stop the oil or blackheads. This mask helps, is a little tingly, and soaks up oil.

Can't be without this. Not only does it control acne and blackheads, but my skin is pink and glowy after I rinse. LOVE this one. This also helps me when I have been expirmenting with to many products-brings me back to normal.

I haven't tried a mask yet that's made a significant improvement to my acne prone skin, and this one is no different. But, one reason I like it is that it makes my skin feel nice after using it. And although it doesn't have miraculous skin clearing effects as I'd hoped, it at least doesn't make my skin worse.

I have no reactions to using this mask, but my skin can generally withstand a lot of harsh treatment, so this might not be saying much. For those who have some trouble washing the mask off, I dampen the mask a bit, then really soak a flat cotton round or two and use them to wipe the mud off (use a good quality cotton round - the cheap ones shred). I do a final rinse, then finish with toner and moisturizer.

Based on my personal experience using numerous masks, I would say none of the products actually removes or sucks out the impurities very effectively unlike the claims. Blackheads can be pretty tough and hard to remove and often requires some squeezing.

I do see little dots on my nose and cheeks (cos I have combi-skin) after this mask dries up. What I do is after using the mask, I rinse it with lukewarm water to soften up the pores. This help to further loosen up the blackheads (which have been 'extracted' by the mask) and I cover my fingertips with tissues and squeeze them out.
Overall, I would say that this mask does help to firm up the skin and generally does a good job in cleansing. I try to use at least twice per week and do see rather good results after months of using it. Don't expect this (or any other masks) to be a miracle and you wouldn't be unnecesarily dissappointed. I use this as a 'face saver' whenever I know I'm going to pimples when my monthly cycle is near. It helps to clear the skin up.

Lastly, those with sensitive skin might feel some tinkling when you first apply it. But it's really a matter of getting used to it.
