Would I buy again, o yes yes yes!
I cant believe how much I spent on smashbox's primer before this! It does just as good a job, actually better for me! Its dirt cheap and its 1.5 oz! That is a bottle and a half of smashbox! Last forever because they give you so much! LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS BEAUTY STEAL!! LET EVERYONE KNOW!! Save your pennies for good quality foundation! The only thing I wish is if it came in a pump bottle but geez for 6$ I cannot complain really..although I do feel embarrassed buying it at the store hahaha~
I swear by Monistat Chafing Relief Powder-Gel! For only $6.00, it has a plethora of usages! I mainly use this as a lip primer for my lipsticks, but it also works great as an eye shadow primer, wrinkle corrector, and (if your skin can take it) as a facial primer. Not to mention you can always use it for your chafing relief needs, too. I will always continue to buy this. It's a miracle in a tube.

I read the reviews and knew what I was getting into, so I tried this "primer" on one side of my face -- the outer edge, to be specific. Yeah...4 days and this gave me about 2 pustules in that area. I should've realized nothing good could have come from this since, in my 4-day trial, that outer edge of my face actually FELT congested during the day. Acne prone skin beware or just stay far away. You will seriously feel it trapping the oil, dirt, and bacteria in your face, especially if you have an active lifestyle.
Ok, it does make your makeup go on smoothly and look good, but it honestly does not help with staying power. On top of that, I broke out the first couple of times I used this, but since my skin is a boss, it got used to it. I'm going to use it until I find a better primer.
I love this as a primer, yes...a primer...on my face. Well, actually, I have nice skin so I typically don't wear foundation. But as an eyeshadow primer, this is my HG. Silicone is the main ingredient in this, which is the main ingredient in any high end primer you find. You get a ton of this stuff for about 8 bucks at Wal-Mart. I've been on one tube for forever. It doesn't allow your eye shadows to crease, it leaves your skin silky smooth, it helps the pigments show as vivid as possible, and it really makes the perfect smooth base for applying makeup. Love this stuff!!!
my husband thinks it's hilarious that Monistat has a thigh chaffing gel (ugh, MEN) and he almost fell over when I said "well, I'M using it as makeup primer - yes, on my face" lmao...it's wonderful, moisturizing, smooths the skin, lasts all day and is cheaper than my past primers...reminds me very much of Prime Time (black top), which costs $18 or $20 - I say it's worth a try ladies....and don't let your boyfriend/husbands laugh b/c when I applied a tiny bit to his forearm, he said "wow, that's really smooth"...dude went to work with a dab of Monistat on lmao

I recently decided to pull out an old primer I had for a few years (llooking for a way to give my MMU more slip on top of my SS.)
The primer is MyMineralGlitters a/k/a Joelle Cosmetics Velvet Veil - see my reviews) but am starting to run out and wondered if there was something comparable I could get locally w/out have to spend a lot of $.
I recall reading reviews for this product = I had no trouble finding at my Target (and Walmart too I think.)
This stuff is awesome!! No skin irritations/breakouts, great slip over my kinda sticky SS, MMU and regular MU stays on longer. Also controls the minimal oiliness I develop as the day goes on in my t-zone. = LOVE it!!
I will re-purchase!

Um i like the silky feeling it gives my skin and my makeup does go on my face like butter after i put it on but to be honest i dont see much of a difference in the staying power. Or maybe i just didnt pay enough attention lol. Ill try it again.
Great for making makeup go on smooth! Doesn't make me break out. Good for razor bumps too!

I tried this once and then I took it back. I use Gerda Spillmann bio fond foundation, which is a cream foundation. It usually last awhile before it starts to break down. I'm in my late 20's so my skin is in decent shape. It isn't perfect, but it could be much worse.
I was really wanting something that would make my makeup last longer and stay in place a little better, so I decided to mess around with primers. I used them when I went to makeup school at MUD, but I haven't really ever used them on a day-to-day basis myself. I usually just do moisturizer and then makeup. I have started to skip using powder to set, even though it does seem to keep the makeup in its place, I am hating the matte look right now. Plus powder makes all those stupid baby hairs on my face show....gross! So I thought perhaps primer would help.
I won't lie the thought of silicone on my face grosses me out. I think I probably have it in some of my products, but the amount in a primer freaks me out so be aware of that as you read my review.
I've been having issues with my eyeshadow creasing. I've never had that before so I bought a cheap eyeshadow primer that seems to have worked well. I had hoped a face primer would do that same thing or more.
I bought this anti-chafing gel because as others have pointed out its made for the skin and is basically the same thing as a regular facial primer, plus its cheap. I bought it and tried it one day. Based on what I saw I didn't believe there was any significant different to how my makeup looked or how long it lasted it. That combined with the fact that I was so worried about the silicone breaking me out I immediately returned this product.
I'm not saying don't try it. It does give you that nice smooth feeling of a makeup primer. It is exactly the same thing. If you aren't worried about silicone or acne then absolutely try this product. I just couldn't get justify potentially causing a bad breakout for something that only made my makeup look marginally better and not flawless, but just because it wasn't a miracle for me doesn't mean it might not be a miracle for someone with a different skin type then myself.
Hope this does magic for someone. I do love when you can use a product from one market in another. :)
