I am a mascara slut! Ichqnge which mascara I wear everyday. Know I wont. I don't wear makeup besides mascara and a lip product sometimes since I'm only 14. I have shortish thin lashes. My best guy friend came up to me and asked me if I did something to my eyelashes and he is the least observant person I know. I LOVE this mascara! I honestly don't know whats with all the negative comments. I don't even curl my lashes.

Hands down the BEST mascara out of ALL drugstore or high-end mascaras I've ever tried (MAC, Dior Extase, Dior Show, other various L'oreal and Maybelline mascaras). I'm usually not a fan of anything that isn't a traditional mascara brush, but these thin plastic bristles cover all my lashes. Absolutely NO flakes, lengthening, very darkening (not necessarily thickening though but it works out!), and able to apply as many coats as you want, little to no smudging either throughout the day. I will most likely never turn to another mascara again, I've finally found the one!

Really like the ball-shaped applicator tip. Can apply mascara to the corners of my eyes without touching loose skin. Skipped mascara before because it was hard maneuvering the usual long wand, but this round tip works for me!

Bought this back in August, when Rite Aid was selling it for $3 a tube. Got the Carbon Black, and was disappointed -- the formula was super thin and while it lengthened my lashes, did absolutely nothing in terms of volume. Fast forward 5 months: I left the mascara in my makeup bag, and it must have dried out a bit, because now it lengthens without the "thinning" effect. I'll use it up, but won't buy it again.

I am a little undecided about this one! I got the new Telescopic in Hypnotic Black – which wasn’t available to choose from the list so it may be slightly different from the others that are being reviewed. It is a good, intense black which is great. Price about medium I guess. I do NOT like the weird non brushy brush! The mascara goes on a little clumpy – I have to use a comb / brush afterwards to get a nicer effect. I would often do this with mascara anyway so that is not the end of the world in itself. It does lengthen my lashes quite well, although it doesn’t thicken them as much as I would like. It also dries quite quickly so combing through (which I do think is necessary unless you’re a fan of the clumpy look!) does shed little specks all over your face! It doesn’t irritate my eyes, but it is a bit hard to remove – takes quite a bit of wiping and rubbing which of course is not ideal. I don’t think I’d buy it again – it’s not terrible, but there are certainly better mascaras out there.

This mascara was very surprising. I must say that I didn't have high hopes for it. When I first took it out of the tube I thought the brush was very strange. It has only four rows of plastic brisles, and in between it's just flat. The brush is also very skinny, I am a big fan of masaras with large brushes. So for me to like it was very surprising. This mascara gives amazing length, not really that much volume. I just use covergirl lash blast and his one together and it gives me the perfect look!

This is the best drug store mascara I've ever used. The bristles on the wand lengthen your eyelashes dramatically so, and it works at separating them, preventing clumps. The only downside I've found is that you can't expect any volume whatsoever with this mascara. Otherwise, if you're looking for long, natural looking eyelashes that stand out in a beautiful black sheen, this is it. It's so affordable and does more for me than some high-end brand mascaras.

First time using this in my search for a replacement for my discontinued HG, Colorstay. I was amazed at how much more this made my eyes POP than the Physicians Formula I have been using of late. It was a little clumpy the first time, but easily handled, and totally worth dealing with to get these defined, long lashed. I have had some minor flaking, which seems to be a common problem for me, so may not be specific to this specific item.

I agree, the brush is unusual, but seems to work, so no complaints here.

So far, I really like it. If anything changes, I'll be sure to post an update.
1-15-2013 UPDATE:
the constant flaking has stopped me from using this. Removing a lippie for this. On the hunt for a new mascara. *sigh*

So far so good! I was actually expecting to return this. I like it. I like the little brush. You can get every single lash. It's my first time with this type of brush so very happy so far.

A friend bought a tube of this, didn't like it, and gave it to me,

Did not think I'd like it, but WOW .... this is a great product.

I absolutely hate the wand, make no mistake. I'm used to great brushes and applicators, for example, Diorshow, YSL Faux Cils, Oscillation, and all of those have beefy, lush brushes, so this little wand with some ridges takes some getting used to. However, when I read "carbon" on the tube, I thought I would apply it over my Oscillation to make it deep black. Very glad I did.

I apply a couple of coats of Lancôme's Oscillation on first, for a lush, dramatic (and very quick) base, then I've been layering a couple of coats of this over. LOTS of length and deep black.

Will probably purchase again for the effects .... very price friendly. No smudging, no flaking, lots of drama. Gives my other mascaras a lot of umph, and extends the mascara budget a bit.

Great .... I knocked a lippie off for two reasons: 1) the wand; 2) I haven't used it on its own, so I can't really speak to how it wears as a stand alone mascara, I've only worn it over the Oscillation, but it will make my Oscillation stash last longer, so that's a good thing.
