Personally I'm surprised on how much I like this mascara. Its a good basic mascara, small brush which is good for my asian eyes lol. I have this in water proof and it works great. This is my go to mascara :)

Starting the search for an entirely new combination of products, as my skin is starting to noticeably age and my once "go-to" products aren't cutting it anymore. Having said that, this is THE one product I will not be replacing! I have used this mascara for the past 18 years, ever since I began wearing mascara, and although I have tried others over the years, I keep coming back to it. Maybelline Great Lash stays...everything else goes! I absolutely LOVE this mascara and I'm truly surprised at all of the bad reviews it's received. It's not fancy, but there is a definite reason it has been around as long as it has!

Ugh. You get what you pay for with this product. It didn't make my lashes look longer, more defined, or even much darker. It flaked and clumped and made my lashes fall out. Basically, it does every you don't want it to do and nothing that you expect from a mascara. I'm going back to my trusty Covergirl mascara.

This s not the worst mascara I have ever used but its not got a lot going for it. Well apart from the price - boy it is cheap! I despise the packaging, it's completely garish and doesn't sit well in my makeup bag. I have long lashes but they're blond- all I want is definition out of my mascaras. This goes on ok but can clump if you're not careful. Mainly the problems arise after a few hours - it's guaranteed to smudge and flake with every use. I probably would have appreciated this product in my early youth when starting using make up as its so inexpensive but I wouldn't advise having it if you're someone who prioritises quality above price when purchasing your mascara.

Worst mascara I have ever tried, and I have tried zillions...
Just clump my lashes toguether in a huge wet sticky mess that left stains all over my eye shadow... Just perfect, had to do my eye makeup all over again and got late for work.
What a piece of junk, should be out of the market, will not buy again.

Why in the world has this won so many awards? This stuff is simply awful! I, like many other MUAers, bought this as my first mascara ever. That was a loooong time ago. I haven't bought it since. I remember all it did was make my lashes (thin, long, brown) look black and stick together. Clumpy, yet no volume or added length. Seriously, don't buy this. Please, just don't. Also, advise any girls getting into makeup against this and save them the trauma.

I don't understand exactly what this mascara is supposed to do. I really wanted to like it and I've always seen people rave about this, especially in magazines. This mascara literally makes all my lashes look like 3 big ones. It doesn't separate them at all. There isn't anything that i like about this mascara.

I absolutely love this mascara! This is my go-to mascara, and I will continue to repurchase it. I have been using this product for years. It is a great price, and I would highly recommend giving it a try. It makes my lashes look great, and I always compare other mascaras to this one. It has a great formula and amazing staying power. The pink and green packaging is cute, too.

I don't understand how this mascara is rated a top mascara. Its horrible! Maybelline has some great products but their mascaras are junk. Its too wet and the wand is small and the bristles are short. When applied it just makes your eyelashes stick together. Don't purchase this unless you want to waste your money on junk

Trashing this may be the "in" thing to do on MUA but I must disagree. Yes, it's old-fashioned; it doesn't have the high-tech brushes or the super/ultimate/fabulous whatever that every new mascara touts and it doesn't pretend to be better than false eyelashes.It's just a good old solid formula that applies easily & layers well, and that's why makeup artists love it. This was probably the first mascara I ever bought 30 years ago and I keep coming back to it because I have yet to find anything else that works as well for me. And I love the colorful tube, which was "retro" even back when I started to use it - actually, I'd like to see them bring back the original flared tube, which would set it apart even more. continued >>
