Flamboyant is one of HiP's bestselling colors and i can't imagine why it wouldn't be! These are two great colors but UDPP is extremely important because without it they will barely show (especially the purple); but with UDPP these will become super vibrant and gorgeous!

This is probably one of my favorite drug store brand eye shadows. The color pay off is great. However, I do have a problem with the purple color. I really have to pack it onto my brush to get the color to stay (hence, only for lippies!) whereas the yellow/gold color, it's on and stays on!

The blend ability between the two colors are gorgeous and it's something that I didn't expect coming from the drug store. And the colors (once the purple stays on) lasts forever and a day. I go through 12-15 hour days and I still had my duo gleaming throughout the evening; so that's always a plus!

The packaging is pretty cool also. If you measure it, it almost seems that each color is almost the equivalent to a regular MAC pan. It also comes with a nifty little sponge applicator on the bottom. For the longest time I kept asking myself "What is that shaking noise?" to realize that underneath the pans is a compartment where the applicator is stored. It keeps it clean and away from any possibility that it may get dirtier.

Overall, a great product. Will definitely purchase again!

I have so many of the HiP duos, but I love every one of them! I have yet to be disappointed by the colours, staying power, and the smoothness of these shadows! Flamboyant was the first one I got and it's probably my favourite! I'm very, very tan, so the purple really pops with my hazel eyes. The gold is beautiful! I never thought I'd really be into a gold shadow.. I usually play it safe with some pinks/browns/purples.. but now that I have discovered HiP (and started tanning everyday! haha) I love the bright colours every once in a while!

This has got to be my favorite one from this line. I have not tried the metallic duos yet but i'll eventually get around to it. The yellow in this is so vibrant and the purple pairs up perfectly. This was what got me into eyeshadows and makeup. Will always be a comeback-to.

I really like L'Oreal HiP Duos. I think they're super comparable to MAC eye shadows. I know some of the ppl on here feel that its hard or frustrating to make the purple show, but I think its great that its buildable. I hate when colors are so insanely dark that putting a little on your eye lid is already too much. Then you have to work at taking some off etc. That's frustrating! I really love these colors. I have a bunch & they're not expensive, which is definitely a plus =D continued >>

I generally like this combination of colors, but sometimes I get frustrated with how much I have to really work with the purple to get it to show. I have to layer it over primer and sometimes apply it wet to make it really intensified. the gold is really nice, good texture and color payoff. I give it four lippies because it is good quality for drugstore brand eyeshadows, and since it's always bogo somewhere, I don't mind buying them in every color.

Walgreens had a buy one get one free deal on hip products. I have a heard a lot of good reviews about these shadows. I must say the reviews were right. Love the color and pigmentation. I had been looking for a good gold and purple color eye shadow and since iam on a budget i knew i would not be able to spurlge on mac eye shadows. At first i was a bit worried as to how the purple would look on my skin tone (olive, mac c4). The gold is gorgeous and the purple looks better once you apply it wet. The quality of these eyeshadows are just as good as mac..and this is coming from a consumer..who strictly uses mac eyeshadows.

Well...I like the packaging...I really don't get the hype about these HIP shadows. The purple doesn't really show up well. I have to wet it and make sure I'm using a primer so that it will stay on. I really like the gold side though. It really pops. So it's not a total loss. Just be prepared to work with the purple.

Usually I do not buy eye shadows from the drugstore, but this is one instance where I like something I bought and think the quality is professional quality. The last time I bought something (makeup) from the drugstore from this brand was the cream eyeliner in Teal and I was so disappointed that I was scared to buy too many colors from this HIP brand, but I was wrong this time. While the colors are fitting of the name Flamboyant, I love them and they really do have a LOT of pigment. While I really like these 2 particular colors (yellow and purple), I think I would want to try some of the other colors. I usually only buy MAC eye shadows, but the colors and quality of this shadow is just as good as MAC and for a fraction of the price. Usually one shadow from MAC is like 12USD, this product comes with two beautiful shadows for like 5or 6 USD. I would most definitely recommend to anyone and would repurchase in other colors.

I got this on sale for 5 dollars at target. I know I'm going to sound like a broken record but it's true - the yellow side is wonderful but the purple side goes on extremely sheer. Honestly i would not wear the two colors together either...it just doesn't match imo. I really do love the gold though, it is very strongly pigmented and beautiful. I'll continue to buy this product just for the gold part.

I mentioned this in my other review of FLARE but i'll mention it again- go out and buy a good eyeshadow brush for application, the sponge-tip brush does nothing for you. continued >>
