This is how I use this product.
I shampoo with mane n tail shampoo, then I condition with mane n tail conditioner. I apply emergencee and let it sit for 2 minutes, then I shampoo and condition with the mane n tail again and follow with my bioinfusion olive oil deep conditioner. It leaves my very processed and heat styled hair bouncy and full and thick and strong feeling. This routine without the emergencee leaves me with soft hair, but it is still weak feeling and still frizzy. Emergencee is a simple, yet crucial step for anyone with damaged hair to make it shine like virgin hair.
This is my HG product. It leaves my frizzy hair shiny and works great with the hair straightener. I used this product for years when I was living in NYC. I moved to Texas 5 years ago and just today found it at Walgreens for $15. I couldn't beleive they are still making it so I snatched it up. This is my first review because I feel so strongly about Emergencee. It is the best hair product out there.
I *LOVE* this stuff!!
Couple weeks ago I had my hair colored which came out too dark.
I washed it about ten times with Purell shampoo, and then used the Color Ooops, then colored it twice since then.
My hair has so much shine from using the Emergencee, you would never believe the punishment it's been through.
I flat iron my hair whenever I shampoo, (about twice a week at most) and it still looks and feels like it's healthy!
It works, it works, it works!!!
I have fine, thinnish, blonde hair that is quite dry & very fragile. I purchased this based on all of the hype on the hair board & was not disappointed. I was a bit nervous that extra protein would make my hair drier than it already is, but this leaves it soft, shiny & healthier looking. It also seems to detangle my hair quite well, which is kind of a miracle as my hair is very prone to tangles. I haven't used it long enough to determine whether it is actually fortifying my hair & helping with breakage, but based on the initial results, I will continue to use. My only complaint is that it is quite hard to find in the areas I've looked - I eventually found it at one Walgreen's, but wasn't able to find it at others.
Thanks Girls! I bought this product this weekend and couldn't wait to try it. I just dyed my hair brown with highlights for the first time and I didn't really know about the damage bleach can do so I was having some serious breakage. Well, this stuff is great. I followed the directions like everyone said to do and my hair looks great. It's soft, shiny, and the breakage isn't as bad. I will continue to use this for the next couple of weeks and review it again.
I love this stuff. The key is to follow the directions and NOT leave it in for more than 1-2 minutes!!! It may just be in my head but i feel like I am having less breakage since using this. I use it every other week to once a month as i don't want to over use it. In conjunction to this i use Redken anti-snap when i wash my hair every 2-3 days and i also use Kiehl's leave-in conditioner. Since I started this routine my hair has never been shinier, softer and the poofiness has decreased.

Love this product. I have fried, bleached from level 2 to level 10 hair, and use this every 2 weeks. For the first time in a long time I'm seeing length achieved with no breakage.
I don't understand the bad reviews except that many who have bad results have used incorrectly. The bottle clearly states to leave on 1-2 minutes with no heat, not 25 or 30 minutes with heat like so many are doing. Perhaps if it was used correctly good results would be achieved, as I've definitely had with this miracle product. Hope it's never discontinued!

I really like this. I finally broke down and paid the $12 b/c my hair was a mess. I have long, fine blonde hair that is foil highlighted. I have damaged it with heat and have many layers I am trying to grow out. My hair looked and felt dry.
This was easy to use and lefy my hair looking A LOT better. It was smooth and healthy looking yet not weighed down.
Wow, I'm blown away by all the great reviews. I followed the instructions to a T and my hair never felt wierder than after this stuff. It felt like it was coated with some kind of plastic shellac. I called Nexxus and they of course asked if I had followed it up with their shampoo and conditioner, to which I replied no. I did follow with a shampoo and conditoner, but then really, what's the point? I'm not buying into this story that it's adding "protein" to the hair, and neither is my hairdresser. IF this were possible, wouldn't we all be getting protein treatments at the hair salon? It's a big scam to get you to buy three of their products instead of just the one that doesn't do much anyway. I say Booooo!
Edit: Okay, I screwed up and didn't wash (and condition) my hair AFTER applying this and washing it out. NOW I see what all the hype is here. This stuff is amazing, and I've been using it faithfully since I started using it correctly.
Update: Still loving this. My hair was absolutely fried after my new and ex hairdresser left haircoloring in my hair too long. Came home, did this treatment, following with the Nexxus conditioner Humectress, as is recommended on the box, and it totally corrected the dryness. LOVE this stuff!!!!!
I have been using this product since the 80's and I think it is the only reason why my hair has not fallen out! LOL! This product actually forms a web around each strand of hair. To test put a little between your hands and rub really quick the heat created will help form that web pull your hands apart and you will see the web that is what will be protecting each individual hair when used. If you're hair is damaged I would suggest using Therapee Shampoo and Humectress Conditioner(this conditioner may be too heavy if you have thin hair) along with the emergencee. This is an absolute must for a monthly treatment. You DO have to use heat and leave it on for at least 30 minutes. If not used correctly you are not going to get the results given on the bottle.
