For reference, I'm an NC45 and the color I purchased is 30. I absolutely love this concealer. I'm a total concealer junkie, so take it from me- this stuff is good! It spreads like a dream and blends well with my tinted moisturizer for a very eye-opening and even look. It does not accentuate my pores. It is a medium-coverage concealer (I don't like using heavy-coverage concealers under my eyes because they tend to crease), but it is definitely not a stand-alone concealer because the finish is a bit "wet". I either mix it with with my NYX orange concealer to cancel out any darkness/mattify the whole look or use a thin layer under my HG concealer- the Make Up For Ever HD Concealer in 355 (which brightens like a dream)- and then set it with banana powder. The other con I have is that I absolutely HATE the packaging. Even if I use it carefully, the product collects around the rim and gets all over my other make up and brushes. It's such a hassle -__- However, this product is worth the headache and I will definitely be repurchasing.
I really like this concealer! I read others reviews on this and decided to buy it because it sounded like it was good. Now I'm really happy I bought this one because it's great stuff!
It last nearly all day when a powder is over, if you want to go directly from work to something else I would advice you to carry this in your bag.
I use this on my redness around my nose, any imperfections and under my eyes and it seems to work! I think that you should try it out because it's a great drugstore concealer! It's easy to blend in (I usually use my ring- or middle finger) and I like the texture of it.
Not impressed and disappointed as an OTC and price point. I picked up #10. I have purple hue dark circles and from what I read in other reviews it tends to cake, so I used just a little, but then it didn't cover the circles very well. I used a little bit more and it actually didn't cake but it didn't even last 2 hours and I need all day coverage.
So-so. It has light/medium coverage, so your blemishes and undereye darkness still peek through. Looks natural as far as makeup goes, but again it's not really full coverage. It's rather moisturizing, but still creases a little on the undereye. Also, it doesn't last long at all, slides off quickly - I have dry/combination skin so I would imagine this wouldn't stick at all on oily skin. I really wanted to like this because of the fair price and hype, but what are you gonna do? By the way, it contains propylene glycol and parabens in the formula, which is never a good thing.
Reference: NC30~NC35, got the concealer in 25 medium. It's a good match.
I really like this concealer, though it is not perfect. For one the packaging, after a while of using this, the concealer would collect around the bottom of the screw-able lid and start to get everywhere in my makeup bag. minus that, this concealer is good for light natural coverage, though it will only last a few hours you will need to touch ups through out the day. The concealers ending with a 0 are more yellow based while the concealers ending with a 5 are more pink based. With that this makes concealer sections a whole lot easier. I love this product, but in my honest opinion Maybelline has a bad habit of discontinuing certain makeup products over the years (anyone remember maybelline mineral concealer or dream mouse concealer?) yeah that makes me a little fearful that Maybelline will discontinue this product sooner or later.
I have this concealer in 10 light, which is a match for in between MAC NC20 and NC25. Please note that the darkness does not correspond to an increasing number. #15 is lighter (and slightly pinker) than #10, I own both. Though I prefer my foundation to be yellow, I prefer this neutral tone in #10 because it covers over the redness of blemishes without turning the spot ever so lightly ashen, and it neutralizes the color of my dark circles (mine are just brown, honestly). I can layer this over a corrector like the Bobbi Brown corrector or Benefit Erase Paste and yes, it creases but muuuuch less than others. I have to set it with a powder, and loose powder works better in general. The only thing that I've found so far that greatly diminishes creasing in general is the Ben Nye loose powder (mine is in banana, again preferring yellow tones and it works after the Fit Me concealer too). I must add that I have deep circles that are part of my orbital structure -- they are not just from a lack of sleep or deficiency in nutrients or something. They are an actual pit, and this concealer helps cover up the pit. The coverage of this concealer is medium, but it is very buildable. I can't tell if I have many layers of it on or just 1. This is not my favorite concealer, though it is definitely a go-to because my other favorite is hard to get in the US (Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Light). Other foundations I use - Laura Mercier Silk Creme in Sand, Bourjois Healthy Mix in 52, Too Faced Beauty Balm Vanilla. Note: This range does not go pale. Don't bother if you are paler than NC20 (#15 in the Fit Me concealer).
First off let me say that the color range is awful. I bought the lightest color and it's a deep yellow color.. I really wanted something brightening. This is a decent concealer. It's dewy and medium coverage. I like this for under eyes and blemishes. If you are extremely fair, I don't think you'll find your match. This concealer is also very natural looking. I will be using this for school.
i use this one as an under eye brightener, and i really like it. it's smooth, doesn't crease, and the color is natural and nice.
This product is another reminder to me to do what I haven't done in years: go to a proper makeup counter and get some help finding a decent concealer!
I read some good reviews of this, and liked the look of the sponge tip applicator (I don't want to always have to use a brush for concealer) so I moseyed off to the drugstore.
It is weirdly thick, even though I didn't expect it to have super-heavy coverage.
It dries to a chalky, cakey consistency, sadly and is way too pinky-beige for my skin. The lightest one was too luminous (no need to draw attention to dark circles) so I got the second lightest. The next shade up would have been too dark...
I find it very hard to blend, and it sort of just sits weirdly on top of my foundation. I have sensitive skin, but normally not very dry. I felt like any tiny dry patches that were on my face were amplified by this stuff.
Even though it was cheap, it didn't work for me at all, so was not a good score.
I love this concealer!! its amazing it covers everything effortlessly from dark circles to acne! I just had to take a star off because it has wayy too many sparkles in it which im not a huge fan of it. Otherwise it is perfect. I would definetly recommend it! Go for it!!!
