This is a great color to have around. It doesn't have a huge color payoff, more of a natural but better look, which is always good to have. It's a neutral pinky-brown, not to light, creamy and a little glossy. I use it mostly on days when my make-up is not too "done", when I am in a hurry. Feels nice on the lips, doesn't dry them out. Just a good, basic, nude-ish lipstick. I have purchased it more than once, I am sure I will purchase it again.

This has to be my third favorite lipstick of all time (Guava Stain is #1, Pink Chocolate is #2). It is a really nice nude shade on my fair skin. I like the natural look, so this is one of my go-to shades that I find myself reaching for more often than others. I really like the Clinique line of lipsticks, their colors just seem to work for my skin tone much better than any other brands I've tried.

Wow, this is certainly a classic. This was my first ever lipstick purchased. I haven't used it in awhile but I do remember that I loved it back in high school...10+ years ago.

This gives me that "my lips but better" look, which I LOVE because I'm always in the mood for a more dramatic eye. I wouldn't say that it gives my pigmented lips a "nude" look, because it makes them pinker. I also love this because it's not like your traditional lipstick. It's stuck somewhere between a lipstick and a moisturizing gloss. This looks beautiful alone or with a gloss over to add that extra sheen. I like to add MAC Saplicious on top when I want to add shine, or tone down the pinkness just a bit. Love this color. I got it as a gift, but would repurchase.

This performs more like a tinted lip balm.
As others have described: sheer, warm, pinkish-neutral. It looks very close to natural lip color.

Wow, i must be the only one that dont like this color. I would like it only if it shows up on me. Its a dull brownish mauve. It does nothing to help my skintone. Its blah!! it adds dullness to my complexion. I guess I like lipsticks/glosses to give me a slight color, dull browish mauve just dont cut it for me.

The only lipstick that I've worn since I was 15 - and 10 years later I still use it. It's a perfect warm neutral a few shades darker than my natural lip colour, so it looks like my lips, but better. The texture is moisturizing and silky, and gives a soft but natural shine. It doesn't last through meals, but it's not meant to. Highly recommended!

Tenderheart is one my favorite lipsticks, and I have re-purchased it over and over again for the past 15 years. I have a tube in my purse, in my desk, and on my vanity at all times because this shade goes with everything. I'm NC20, lightly pigmented lips, dark brown hair, hazel eyes. On me this is very natural and subtle, mlbb, and a very wearable nude color. It doesn't wash me out but subtly brightens my complexion and brings out my eyes. Along with Guava Stain, which is similar but pinkier-peachier, this is one of my HG mlbb lippies. I will buy this as long as they continue to make it and then I will hoard it.

The only lipstick I have EVER purchased more than twice! Absolutely no scent or taste which are big plusses. I highly recommend this medium pinky brown shade for pale-skinned women who find that pigmented lipsticks usually look too bold on them-- even such popular "universally flattering" shades such as Nars Dolce Vita or Clinique's Black Honey. I have literally tried hundreds of lipsticks in my search for my favorite (mostly Lancome, MAC, Clinique and drugstore brands), and keep coming back to Tenderheart.

My coloring: very fair skin with neutral undertones, MAC NC/NW 10-15, EM Sandy Fair, brown hair and some light freckles. Moderately pigmented lips.

Once thing I love about TH is it's so versatile. Applied full strength or with a tinted gloss it's almost dramatic on my pale skin- good for evening or when I want bolder lips. Blotted it's a subtle deep nude, MLBB. The finish is matte, but I usually apply clear balm or gloss on top for shine or shimmer. If you want a glossy version, Tenderheart is very similar to the Clinique Buttershine in DeLovely. But I prefer the l/s I can wear as matte or shiny as I want. Plus it's more pigmented than the buttershines and lasts longer - also fades very well and looks natural without leaving any weird residue or ring around my lips.

Color comparisons with other popular "universal" shades I've tried: TH is lighter than Black Honey, and warmer. It's also warmer than Nars Dolce Vita, which was too pink on me. It's cooler than CG Trushines in Cinnamon shine (another favorite of mine especially in autumn), and warmer than Blushberry. I tried an Avon shade (nude pink) that was quite similar but had a slight odd taste. I can't think of any MAC or Lancome shades that are similar to TH-- that may be because I've mostly tried shimmery/frosty shades from those brands. I've never found a drugstore equivalent to TH, but each tube seems to last a year or more anyway. Love it. Hope they make it forever. I personally have never had a problem with the tube chipping as some reviewers mention, and it's a cute silver tube.
