When I bought my Naked palette from Urban Decay I was excited to try their eyelid primer because I have heard so much about it. Unfortunately I was extremely disappointed. So I decided to take a cheaper route and I found the ELF one and I love it! It is 1$. Cant beat that right? Right. And it lasts all day unlike how I found the UD one. Also it makes your eyeshadow more vibrant which is always a plus. It is a better product for a MASSIVE fraction of the cost. Ill use it everyday till I die.
I have been on find-dirt-cheap-makeup kick lately, and this definitely qualifies. I was shocked and amazed at how well this stuff works. I have used TFSI for about 3 years with a smattering of UDPP samples and I have loved those. But I figured for $1 and easily found at Target, might as well try this. I work 12-16 hours shifts and this stuff holds up perfectly. I just washed off my makeup this morning and was astounded that it looked perfect still. I don't even mind the doe foot applicator (typically I like my squeeze tubes). I have this in the original shade and it is somewhat opaque and evens out my eyelid a little. It's thinner than UDPP for sure, maybe a little thinner than TFSI too. Anyway, love it. Will probably try the other shades at some point.
Does exactly what a primer should do-makes your eye shadow last and gives you a smooth canvas. For a dollar, it can't be beat!
I love, love, LOVE this product. For $1, it makes my eyeshadows last for a whole 8 hours. It dries very fast, so I wouldn't put the product on both eyes and blending one eye at a time. It has a very sheer coverage and hides my veins well. What was strange, though, was the first time I opened it, there was this weird, slimy, sticky covering over it. I had to wash it to get it off. That might be just my primer, but eh. Still an amazing product!
This product is good. Easy to use, cheap, and helps your eyeshadow stay on a little longer. It's basically like concealer, just used on your eyelids as a sticking thing for eyeshadow, This product is amazing at covering up unwanted eyelid veins as well.
This lid primer does not spread evenly across my lids even using my fingers. After a few weeks of use, I noticed my eyelids appeared wrinkly :( I wonder if this is bc the primer has a drying effect. I started using Palladio's Herbal Eye Primer this week. Will update later with my findings!
I purchased this primer as I was fed up of my eyeshadow creasing. I bought it in Sheer and it is a fantastic primer! It is very smooth and easy to apply. It does take about 30-60 seconds to dry.It even makes cheap eyeshadow stay put! I haven't tried any other eye primers so I can't compare but I will definitely be sticking to this one as it works and the price is excellent. I highly recommend E.l.F primer if you're on a tight budget and want a quality product!
The first time I dabbed some of this stuff on, it was on moist skin and I had immediately applied my eye makeup expecting fast results. Well, that was stupid.
After moisturizing my whole face with grapeseed oil, I dabbed my crease area with a cheap paper towel and applied the e.l.f. primer. I then waited 30 seconds to a minute for it to dry. I was surprised to see that it did not crease! A little patience goes a long way. After nine-ish hours my eyeshadow has started to crease a bit, but hey, that's pretty good for a $1 product.
Love this eyelid primer! Very affordable and it is everybody's color! Usually when I don't use a primer my eyeshadow forms into like lines under my crease but with the primer it doesn't do that anymore and it literally stayed on all day! I think it's great and I would repurchase it! Overall 4/5 I would give 5/5 but even though the bottle was full you had to go into the bottle several times to get a good amount or maybe that's just my bottle as its easier for everybody else. But, I would totally buy this again!
Didnt lik it. Eyeshadow creased and it was pointless to use. Way better out there.
