I usually don't have much success with LUSH products but I have to say that this is an AMAZING PRODUCT!!! It is loaded with natural proven ingredients that work to control oil and prevent/treat breakouts. Not only does it work to clear blemished and control oil but I have found that it also makes a great primer for your foundation if you have super oily skin! I found this little trick out by mistake but I am sure glad that I did! I apply about one full pump all over my T-zone before applying foundation and it really helps my skin remain oil free and makes my MUFE foundation last all day! Great price too! Will repurchase and I highly recommend this product!
i hate this product. i got it after watching lots of people on you tube take about it like it's magic i also was told if you use this stuff as a toner it would keep your skin clear so i washed my face and used this all over as a toner i woke up the next day with a very big painful spot on my chin so I'm pretty convinced this clogged my pores..........the next day i gave it an other try and put it on the huge pimple on my chin it did nothing in fact it just irritated the spot i ended up giving this to my bf i hope he as better luck with it then i did this stuff is awful!!
I liked the packaging a lot and I also liked the gel-type consistency of this. There is really not much of a fragrance, and what little fragrance you can detect is not unpleasant. However, that's all I liked. The product itself says it's a super effective spot treatment for developing and existing acne, but I noticed no difference. It didn't help my acne but it didn't worsen my acne. I was still getting break outs, but it's most likely because this was so ineffective. I felt like I was just smoothing on aloe vera gel but even that is probably more effective than this. In my opinion, this product was a waste of money. It's expensive for how much you get and how useless this is. If it was super effective, I wouldn't mind how much it costs.
I'm not killed on the price for such a small bottle, however with the results I have it is so far the best product I have used for this, so I can balance cost with results.
Overall it does what it claims, helping the spots I have. I recently switched cleansers as well so hopefully I won't get any more, but it has helped with the ones I have had. None of them have been painful or really big or even red.
I did notice a huge difference when changing the application from before to after my moisturizer, so fi you aren't getting results try that swicth first. I was with Fresh Farmacy (check my review), tone with Tea Tree Toner (check review) and use Enzymion moisturizer (check review) then apply this gel to any spots.
I like the packaging of it being in the pump bottle, and its clear so it can go over makeup if I need to touch up. Also, smell is mild and not offensive so overall its a good product so far for me.
I am a teenager and have suffered with mild to moderate acne for 2 years. I have tried most acne products available including clearasil, proactiv, prescription topical treatments and antibiotics. None of which worked. Then my boyfriend bought me a bottle of Grease Lightning. It is my HG! it cleared up all existing spots that my proactiv did not even touch and I have not had one spot since using this product. I use it in conjunction with Lush Tea Tree Water and would recommend this to anyone with mild to moderate acne. It also helps tighten pores and is very useful to use under make up. I love this product!!
I like this product alot. I get spots depending on the time of month it is. I dab a little of this on at night and by morning the spot is visibly reduced ie, less red and less inflamed, almost gone completely. I apply this just before my moisturiser and it seems to work okay doing it that way! =D
I had the sister product, Tea Tree Toner and I had to stop using it due to it drying my face up but I have had no similar problems with this.
This product did not work for me as an acne treatment.
but i discovered a different use for it
i now use it as a primer. my skin has for some reason made a drastic change from dry to oily skin. I find I have to continuously blot my face throughout the day. Not to mention the oils totally alter the look of the foundation half way through the day. I've used many primers before, and they have all severely broken me out, or caused some sort of irritation. This product however, kept my face matte all day. Best part zero break outs. The fact that its meant for acne treatment, makes it feel like i'm helping my skin too
I'm on the fence about this one. It's a little pricy for me... $12 for a small pump bottle... but I wanted to give it a try after hearing some good things.
First off - it makes your skin EXTREMELY tight after use, so you have to follow with a good moisturizer. It gets to the point where I can't even smile after it dries on my skin.
It hasn't really cleared up my acne much, though it does reduce redness. Also, paired with baby powder and mineral foundation, it reduces oil alright.
I like the pump bottle - very convienent.
Not sure if I would repurchase, though. Need to see some better results if I do that.
I have acne prone skin, so all of you in my shoes know that the hunt for a good product that will reduce oil and keep your acne to a minimum is ongoing. I literally have tried hundreds of acne products. I have gotten so fed up because some have even made it worse, but this one didn't. This product cleared me up in the first day of using it. There is no irritation with this product like others either. This product is also fairly inexpensive. Any product that can do its job well and be purchased for cheap is a winner in my book :)
At first I was IN LOVE with this product. It completely cleared up my pretty bad skin within a week. Fastforward one month and it had made it worse than it ever was before. Cystic acne..how wonderful :L I stopped using it immediately. It took a few weeks for my skin to settle down again. A couple of months later I had one spot so I decided to chance it. I used one tiny dab, woke up the next morning and my skin was back to square one. Avoid Avoid Avoid if you have sensitive skin...
