One of friends introduced the MOST perfect highlighter (this one) I've ever seen, she tried it on me & I fell in loveee. It's much better than the Hard Candy Bronzer in Tiki! I have THAT one, probably thinking about getting me this one though :) haaaa. So people out there! You must try this thing! I'm telling you! YOU will FALL in LOVE! ^-^
P.s. its more pricey than my Hard Candy one, debatinggg!
this is one of my favorite products I own. I use it as a highlight on my cheekbones, down my nose/ whatever and it's perfect. if only the product was smaller and less expensive! I've owned mine probably for about a year and it's not even halfway gone (i did stop using it for a while at one point to experience with other products). if there was less product and a less expensive price, i could try out other MSF without wasting the one I already own, or I could continue to repurchase it because i feel like overtime it is collecting bacteria and whathaveyou thus I'll need to replace it soon enough anyway...regardless of how much product I still have left :/ 4 1/2 stars for that reason!
I have just used this for the first time today, and after watching a a few tutorials, i put it all over my face - only to notice id turned into a living glitter bomb explosion! (Im like NC15).
So dusted off and started again, and like most people say - its a fabulous cheek highlight, catches the light in all the right places, and very fine, i love it, but NEVER ever all over the face again!
I really like this product but only for cheekbones. I'm one of those who HATES a matte complexion. I love a fresh, dewy complexion all year round, therefore I do not even possess a face powder, but I have numerous highlighters for cheekbones, forehead, nose and chin. I will NEVER be seen without one! I actually bought this product with the intention of using it everywhere, but I quickly realised it is not the best for all-over highlighting because of the shimmer aspect and the noticeable gold glitter. On the cheekbones, this is VERY pretty - it neutralises any strong blusher outlines and gives such a beautiful finish to my blush. Even if the blush I'm wearing has shimmer in - I often use BeneFit Coralista, SugarBomb or Dandelion - this still makes them look even better so I am never without it for this reason. But on other areas of my face, it just doesn't work for me. I much prefer my Bobbi Brown Beige Shimmer Brick (or the Bronze one in the summer) as the shimmer is more finely-milled and is nowhere near as obvious as this is. Lately, I have also discovered Boots No. 7 Vital Enlightening Highlighter Powder, and this is just as impressive as Bobbi Brown, so I am using that on the rest of my face. What I have noticed, however, is that the MSF is starting to lose some of the gold veins the more I use it. I seem to have one side which has all but lost the gold veins and the other side which still has some considerable veining. The colour itself is beautiful - it gives a peachy glow, and I personally prefer it without the gold veins. But for those who want it for the glitter effect, this might be disappointing... Overall though, a great highlighter which is definitely more suited to cheekbones than all-over highlighting.
brought this finally. gotta say i love it more then perfect topping and candle light now. a little goes a long way. it is glittery but then again thats how its meant to be to give you that glowly shiny look, perfect for evening looks nights out etc, will show well.
Honestly, this is my holy grail product for gorgeous cheekbones. I have very high naturally defined cheekbones, but my dry skin ceases to let them shine. As a daily highlighter, I use Soft & Gentle on top of my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose. I'm always bombarded with compliments, and tons of my friends have asked how I've gotten my skin to glow. I'm an NC25 for reference: I've never found this product to be too shimmery. It's a bit overwhelming in the pan, but for some reason, I find that I can layer it onto my skin and not feel like a disco ball. I must add that I don't have a huge variety of highlighters- this is my first, but it'll definitely remain my only. I've had it for about a year now, and I'm barely starting to push down the dome shape! Mind you, I use this every single day! It's about 30 bucks, I believe, which is a bit expensive for my budget, but honestly, this stuff lasts forever. Plus, the glow it gives your skin is unbelievable! The packaging is quite standard MAC packaging. I broke the button after a couple of months, which kind of sucks... nonetheless, I continue to use this. Also, you can use this for a pretty eyeshadow on your lid when you're in a rush for class in the morning, and you can also use it as an eyebrow highlight. I love how multi-purpose this product is, and I'm definitely going to repurchase. Thanks, MAC, for actually having one of my favorite products of yours in of the permanent collection for once! hahaha. Ladies, give it a try. I'm confident you won't regret it :)
This is my daily highlighter. When applied with a light hand, it gives a nice golden sheen. It can be VERY shimmery/glittery though. This is probably not for everyone. The first time I wore it I applied too much and realized that I looked like a Cullen when I was in the sunlight. Now that I'm used to application, I like the effect it gives.
This will last me forever, and I am still on the look out for my HG highlighter so I probably wouldn't purchase this again.
Love this powder highlighter. Brilliant for those with oily skin or olive/yellow undertones because of the golden colour. I put it on my cheekbones, temples, top of the forehead and cupids bow, it looks great with matte bronzer and to contour. Its quite shimmery so some may just prefer it for a night out. Its a generous size too so lasts aaaages and so for the price is really good. Downfall perhaps is no mirror in the bottom or brush/sponge.
I got this because I have been hearing a lot good reviews about this. I do love this because it suits my skintone. You just need a light hand and if you use the right brush it then it looks very nice.
It could be too glittery if you apply too much. When I use it I just dust off most of the glitter and just gently pat the colour. I have a bit of dryness on my upper cheek so I make sure that area is moisturized before I apply it.
I think this will last for a very long time.
I so badly wanted to fall in love with this multitasking highlighter like them majority of ladies who own it.. But sadly it doesn't do much for me. I'll be the first to admit I LOVE most MAC Mineralize products blushes especially, and based on images this looked beautiful to me! I sort of bought it on the spot without trying it out or anything - I wish I did not assume it would be exactly what I hoped for.
Don't get me wrong it's an okay product, but I do not like the glitters. There are too many, and they are indeed a little less subtle then I would have expected. I have small pores, and am certainly not having mature skin at 19 but this was downright unflattering on my skin!
I feel I have much more of a natural glow when using the much cheaper Hard Candy Mineralize blush in Pin Up.. I will use this up and experiment with it, as the closet MAC is a few hrs of a drive away, but I would not repurchase it.
