Ok, so I got caught up in the Paula Begoun's "Don't Go to the Cosmetics Counter Without Me." I was searching through her book while I was using another product she had highly recommended. I spotted this and although this was twice the price of what I was currently using, I had no choice but to switch to this product due to the severe allergic reaction I was getting from what I was using (Olay Regenerist Lotion & Serum) prior to this. Let me tell you what a wonderful product this actually is!!! It doesn't sting my face! I purchased the one for Dry/ Combo skin. I LOVE this product and it was worth paying the money for it. There are just some things you can't skimp on. I don't know what it is about Olay products, but I just can't use them. I tried though. I also just purchased the Combo/oily skin type so that I can use this under my SPF in the daytime rather than their DDMG. There are more antioxidants in the Super Rescue Moisturizer than the DDMG. I'm really happy I spent the $$$.
Update: Not that this isn't fabulous. I currenlty use Paula's Choice Products. continued >>

This stung my skin like crazy and my face was covered in red blotches. Unfortunately I did not keep the receipt, so could not get a refund.

Although I initially gave this product a bad review I have sinced changed my mind. It's creamy but not greasy and there is no overwhelming scent. Expensive but I think I'll continue to use it for now.
Bought it based on Paula's rave review, but I didn't find it did anything for my skin. Would not repurchase.
Story: I bought this becuase my skin is very dry, cold winter and stress seemed to be taking a toll on my skin. I had dry patches and flakes. I tried so many d/s night moisturizers and vaseline. I normally use Cliniques DDML but it was not enough so I researched and found this! I have been using it for a month and My skin is so much better than it was a month ago! I could cry! (I got this in Very Dry to Dry)
----This stuff is rich and thick. I apply it as small dabs then spread it becuase if you just put some in one area and spread it out it won't, its too thick. I apply it at night and wake up with dewy moisturized skin! Awsome for a dry gal like me! It says fragerance free but I did detect a smell, kind of like sun screen but it went away. I did a good job on some dry patches on my face making them less rough and flakey. No allergic reaction or breakouts. When you put it on it does look super greasy, no lie. I have never seen myself with an oily face before until with this product. But since it is for night time, the shine shouldn't matter. Its gone by morning. I would not use this for day, its too heavy. It is pricey at $46 CAD for 50ml. But I did waste a lot of money on d/s night creams that did nothing so this was worth it! Thank you Clinique!!
UPDATE: I'm almost done my 50ml tube and I will most likely repurchasing this! My skin recovered from the dry patches I had and skin has been great using this product. I only use it once a day, mainly because it isn't cheap and wanted to make it last. I use a separate spf moisturizer during the day. I really thing that a moisturizer with a lot of antioxidants is a very good protector for your skin against elements that can damage your skin. I suggest that for those thinking of buying this product is to search/google the benefits of antioxidants for the skin. This is a good choice as it is full of them and it come is a stable, squeeze tube for the product. UPDATE, 10-7-2010 I am on my 3rd tube! I really wasn't sure if I wanted to repurchase but after trying other night moisturizers that irritated, I went back to this one. Still loving ever drop of this stuff!

I have combination skin, with occasional hormonal breakout and is very very sensitive. This cream has pulled me out of times of hormonal/winter dryness, with no ill effect to breakouts yet (2 months+). I don't use the Clinique 3-step (murdered my skin), but simply Cetaphil 2x a day.
Sinks in quickly, wake up feeling rebalanced and hydrated, so far so good!
I was never really crazy about Clinique skincare. I worked for them for 2 years and saw how crazy people were about their products, but I never really got it. This is one product I definitely feel strongly about. I got into my mid 20's and thought I would be proactive about taking care of my skin and trying to fight first signs of aging. I haven't shown any but I thought I would like to keep it that way. I'm a firm believer in night creams, they take advantage of skin's natural sleep cycle to deliver repair and moisture. This moisturizer has "a unique complex of eight rapid and delayed released antioxidants that defuse free-radical activity" (such as sun, stress, and pollution which bring damage to the skin). I'm oily so I use the 3,4 skin type version.

Amazing. It tingles going on when you first use it but that's just the antioxidants going into the "cell plasma membrane." This does the job, fantastic in the oily/combination formula. I wake up and have rested, calm skin.
Urgh. I thought for sure this would be a great product for me, especially after all the wonderful reviews. But what works for some, doesn't work for others. I used this for almost two months and at first I thought it was great. However, I started to get huge cystic acne all over my cheeks. Usually I have one or two pimples right around my period, but they are never huge or really deep. These, on the other hand, were super deep and painful. Like a previous poster, I began to eliminate products. After I eliminated this from my night time routine, my face cleared up in a matter of days! I haven't had any new acne pop up since I stopped using this.

Being in my mid thirties, I thought it was time to switch to some night moisturizer with antioxydants, something more "useful" for my skin than my average Clinique Moisture in control. So, based on the raving rieviews here and elsewhere I opted for Super Rescue, the new reformulated one, in the combination to oily version. I got a sample and started using it. The consistency was beautiful, so once I ran out of my sample, after a week, I bought it. I made the mistake of changing more than one product at a time, so when after a month or so my skin broke out with cystic acne on my cheeks and chin and jawline, like it had never before, even when I was 16, I did'n know which product to blame. One after another, I tried eliminating them by going back to my old routine products. The Super Rescue was the last thing I eliminated, after a month of nightmare, because actually the moment you slather it on your face it feels really good, and the morning after your skin feels really soft, so I couldn't believe it could be the cause. Yet, two days after going back to my Moisture in control, my skin was still in bad conditions, with lots of scarring and pimples, but I had the feeling that it was calming down. After one week, it's definitely cleared up and I know I'm going to have my skin back. I don't know what was the problem between me and this moisturizer. I have used several Clinique products, and still use daily their Superdefense 25 for oily skin, but never had such a reaction. So, please, if you're acne prone like me, try it with caution.
