I love this mask better than the blueberry one (1st mask I bought fr LUSH). This one is not really parfumy like blueberry one, more on the neutral side. I don't mind the chunky seaweed, sort of fun for me.. just a little messy sometimes it falls down on the face, but it's OK. I love home made kind of mask and LUSH has it. Finally, I don't have to get messy in the kitchen alone mixing all the ingredients. It's a soothing mask. Love to try other LUSH masks ....
i have difficult skin, which is somewhat oily in my t-zone, and dry everywhere else. i have major problems with my skin in the winter, the cold weather does a number on my dry areas, and i tend to break out on my jawline/cheeks. when i went into the powell street lush, one of the SAs recommended this mask as a rehab for my mucked-up skin. i applied it that night and had instant results. my skin was smooth and significantly more moisturized (but not greasy in my oil-proned areas). it is an amazing exfoliating/moisturizing/toning mask, and i highly recommend it.
gentle enough for everyday use, though i recommend using it before showering, as removing the mask is much easier in the shower.
will definately repurchase.
I really like this mask! It's fun to put on (yeah, I actually like the chunks of seaweed :) and really refreshing. My skin feels soft and looks clear after using this! I will repurchase :)
A bit difficult to work with, yes. And messy, with great chunks of seaweed. I happen to be a seaweed addict, so that is not a problem for me. Leaves my skin noticably and immediately softer. Lovely ingredients. Helps to clear up my skin, as seaweed does, for me. As messy as this is, it is so fresh and natural that you feel clean afterward, despite the state of your sink.
I have to agree with other reviewers when they say that this mask can be a bit difficult to work with, with all the chunks of seaweed that keep falling off your face. But in its defence the mask felt really cool and soothing on the skin and after it was rinsed off (and the basin cleaned of seaweed chunks) my face felt really soothed, firm and soft and just, well, lovely. So I will be buying it again.
I adore the Biofresh masks, but this one really did seem to do anything for my skin! I'll admit, the scent was very pleasant (subtle herbal aroma with delicate floral hints), but the consistency was hard to work with (chunks of millet and seaweed were hard to keep on my skin). Flakes up a lot when it dries, and is really messy to remove. The most important part of a mask is the results, though and I found none with this mask. My skin is already clear (thanks to Fresh Farmacy and Cosmetic Warrior), so I was hoping to get some super softening qualities, which I did not. Pass this one up because Lush has some EXCELLENT masks that are way more effective than this.
I really wanted to like this more. Too expensive for something that must live in my refridgerator and has a 3wk lifespan. It's an acceptable mild, purifying clay mask, did not bother my sensitive skin while it as on, but that's the only nice thing I can say. This stuff has millet flakes in it, and if you can imagine a layer of dried wholewheat bread dough stuck to your face, you get an idea of what it looked like and how hard it was to get off. And the big green seaweed flakes did not make this any more attractive. Did I mention that flakes of seaweed and dried mask kept falling off my face? Ladies, you may not sip any sort of beverage while wearing this mask. Trust me. If you think the big seaweed flakes mixed into the bread dough look gross on your face, you don't want to see what it looks like when a big piece falls into your cozy mug of tea! Lush makes some good stuff. This is not one of those things, IMHO. Try their Angels on Bare Skin scrub-cleanser instead of this mask. That's what I'm going back to!
I love the mask, but the only complaint I have is about the chunks of seaweed! Makes it hard to apply, they don't want to stick to my face. I'd rather they chop them finer. However, it does make my skin soft and clear.
This is a great mask! Don't worry about irritating your skin with this mask, I was def. concerned, but this mask is ext. gentle as with most masks. This is for all skin types. At first when you're putting it on, it was hard to distribute, but just keep blending and you'll end up with the softest skin and a bright complexion.
This is one of Lush's amazing, classic fresh face masks, and in my opinion, is probably the best of the old set (Cupcake is the best of the new ones). This mask does a great job of calming down my skin when it is in oil overdrive, and really deep cleans during spotty times. But it also is gentle enough on my drier cheeks and it overall just leaves me with a clean, fresh glow. I end up buying this mask over and over again. But I don't use it often enough (only once a week usually) to use the whole pot before the use-by date, so here's a tip: scoop the mask into a medium ice-cube tray and freeze it, and then you have perfect single-use portions ready to defrost (just put them in a glass dish at room temperature for five or so minutes). I have done this with most of Lush's fresh masks and the consistency is unaffected and still lovely--and no waste!
