I am medium skin toned (NC35/NC37) and I was afraid it won't show up on my skin because people have complaints of it not showing up on theirs. But I was wrong! It shows up on my skin very well and it's such a nice, subtle lilac pink-ish glow. It gives a natural matte look but it is also very buildable.
Normally I stay away from benefit blushes because of the price but I heard so many good things about Hervana. So glad I decided to give it a try. I am a NC30-35 and this blush shows up well on my skin. Love the soft color and yummy smell. Packaging I hate but the product totally makes up for it!
I have worked for benefit for nearly 3 years now, My favourite products have always been their box powders. Especially their bronzer 'hoola'. The packaging is beautiful and although i think its slightly over priced considering its only a blusher i dont find the price too bad.
I have only tried this product a few times but found its far too pale on my skin. To b fair if you have pale - medium skin you will probably get on great but on dark skin its slightly to pale and looked almost ashy coloured.
I was afraid this might not be pigmented enough on my NC30-35 skin but I was pleasantly surprised as well. I'm a blush collector but I don't own anything like this. It a light pink w/hint of lilac, looks beautiful and natural. I don't really care for packaging but I like that it has flip top lid w/a mirror. I've been disappointed w/Benefit blushes before but they have me convinced with Hervana!
I am pleasantly surprised with Hervana. I am very fair and neutral-toned (lean more golden). I'm somewhere between a NC15-NC20. Anyway, I wasn't interested in it first glance. The lady at Benefit put it on me and I thought it was gorgeous. What is interesting about Hervana is that it almost chameleons into what the rest of your m/u looks like. If I'm wearing a peachy lip, it looks nice and peachy. If I'm wearing a pink lip, it looks more pink. What I love most about Hervana is how light it is -- it gives me a "lit from within" look. I don't like heavy blushes, so if you do, Hervana is definitely not for you. It brings me a kiss of color and looks soft on my skin. The design on the box is adorable, and for $28, I think it's a good buy. These things last forever. I deducted one lipstick because I do not particularly like the smell of the blush (it smells like artificial berries), but it goes away after a while.
I tried this out at the store and was disappointed. Benefit is terrible at making blushes that will suit different colored skins. I don't know my exact color in MAC foundation, but I estimate it to be NC44-45. I find all of Benefit's blushes unwearable with the exception of Bella Bamba (I've literally tried them all). This blush is too light and there is not enough pigment.
I have high hopes for this product but I am sorely disappointed. Too chalky and way too expensive. There are definitely better blushes out there at half the price.
Today's my first time using Hervana, and I think I love it. It looks completely natural--"a no-makeup makeup" kind of look. I have mild rosacea, and this doesn't make me look red or blotchy. It provides a soft, blushed look.
CHALKY. this has got to be one of the chalkiest finished benefit blush. i love the color, but it looks chalky, i would prefer it if it were a natural matte or even sheen-ish like dandelion. i also think this new flip top packaging is not good, you have to be very careful when closing if not u might scrape the powder .
Just got this in the mail 2 days ago and I must say that I am pleasantly surprised. I was worried that it wouldn't show up on my NC30-35 skin, but it does! This color reminds me of a sheer version on BB blush in Nectar. I think this will be great for Spring! There is no detectable shimmer or sheen to this once applied. It looks very matte.
