I wanted to like this, but it made my eyeballs feel weird. It did an okay job of removing my waterproof mascara, but I couldn't get past the greasy-eyeballs feeling.

I have been using Clinique's Take The Day Off for years now to take off my waterproof mascara, and I've heard that Neutrogena's makeup remover works just as well. My local Wal-Mart had it BOGO so I decided what the heck, might as well try it. Like TTDO, Neutrogena's is dual-phased, and I tend to lean more to these kinds of removers. It took about 3 cotton balls to remove all traces of mascara, and it left my eye area extremely moisturized! It is a bit slippery, but not oily in the least bit. It dries/soaks in fairly quickly, and I found that it conditions my lashes and makes them stronger. This is about a third the price of TTDO, so I will be buying again!
Even though I was happy with this product, I decided to try Clinique's make up remover (the one in the pink bottle).
The results were pretty much the same. I use waterproof mascara everyday (i have REALLY, really, teary eyes) and this really helped take all the gunk off.
For its price and overall ability to do what it's supposed to do, i'd definitely but it again!
I'm almost done with my third bottle of this stuff. It's fantastic. It really gets all the gunk off my eyes, even when I load up on eyeliner and mascara for a smokey eye, and even when I wear waterproof mascara. I just put some on a cotton pad and hold it against my eye for a few seconds, then gently wipe. Sometimes I have to soak a q-tip in it to really clean between my lashes, but this remover just dissolves it all away. It's cheap, too! Every once and a while I'm tempted to use something else, but I've never actually strayed from this eye makeup remover because I always just remind myself that this is as good as it gets!
I got lucky and Walmart was selling a 2-pack special of this makeup remover for a dollar and some change extra than the price of one bottle, so I picked it up since I heard such great reviews on this product that if I ended up falling in love with it, I'd have a backup! And let me tell you - the reviews don't lie! Prior to using Neutrogena's Eye Makeup Remover, I used Sonia Kashuk's Remove for my eye makeup (you can find my review for that on MUA as well) and while at first, I was overjoyed about the SK remover, over time I became a bit unhappy with it. For a few bucks less than SK's product, I was able to purchase not one but TWO bottles of these bad boys, and they do an even better job than the SK remover. Removes all my eye makeup, including my waterproof mascara, with ease! I agree with the review below me about the stopper idea - I do like I'm wasting some product sometimes because so much comes out. Nevertheless, I am thoroughly impressed & would recommend this to everyone! continued >>

This is the ONLY makeup remover that will remove eyeshadow primer and waterproof mascara thoroughly. Yes, it does feel a bit "greasy" (even though it's oil free), but like another reviewer mentioned, that dissipates quickly and is easily taken care of. I use a clean cotton ball to remove the eye makeup remover residue after all of my eyemake has "melted" off by this excellent product. The only thing that I wish were different is that if there were some sort of a "stopper" device that would allow the product to come out of the bottle in smaller amounts, it would cut down on product waste.. Other than that, I can't think of anything not to like about this product. It's cheap, it's gentle, and it works.

I agree with all the great reviews on this product...At first I did not care for the sorta greasy feeling left behind, but it takes only a matter of minutes and that is gone completely. I also follow up with a cotton pad filled with only plain water to rinse away anything left behind. I can't bring myself to pay for Lancome anymore when this does the job quite effectively and it's 1/3 the price. This does wonders over the Almay pads I have also used in the past. This really does dissolve your eye make up quickly. I have noticed that I save cotton pads with this stuff too. I use one side for one eye and then flip it over and use the other side for my other eye, and finally follow up with one more cotton pad filled w/ water only to wipe away and excess...I am happy my MUA friends led me to this great stuff...
This is my all time fav. I used to buy Lancome bi-facial which costs a pretty penny but this is exactly the same for a lot cheaper. all I wear is waterproof mascara and this really does a super job on taking off every little bit off, leaving my lashes in tact.I can buy 4 or 5 bottles for the same price as the bi-facial. If you haven't tried this product I suggest to buy at Walgreens since they have a money back guarantee on all makeup lines there.

The absolute best DS makeup remover, in my opinion. I purchased this after reading the reviews here, after the third consecutive week of the Victoria's Secret makeup remover being out of stock.
It'll make short work of just about anything, including cream/gel eyeliners and long-wearing lipcolor. The downside? While it's not irritating at all, it will leave a greasy residue behind, and cloud your vision temporarily if you get it in your eye.
I'll definitely be repurchasing this and using it as a less-expensive backup for my beloved VS.

Thank you so much to everybody here who reviewed this product! I listened to all of you and bought this hoping for an excellent eye makeup remover without a hefty price tag. Viola! It actually worked the same if not better than Clinique's and Estee Lauder's that I was using before. You guys were not kidding when you said it takes off all your eye makeup in just ONE swipe.
EDIT: 8/13/09---Unfortunately I will not continue to buy this. Over time I noticed it started to give me pimples under my eyebrow area. It was worse if I used this more than once a day. Such a shame because it did do a great job at removing eye makeup easily.
