Out of all the studio brushes elf has to offer this is by far the best one! It's great for buffing powder and even applying foundation on, I LOOOOOVE how soft it is. When I received my first one I knew I had to stock up since it's so inexpensive so when they had the 50% off I ordered the 11pc set and was kind of disappointed for the fact that I instantly could tell that the powder brush in that collection was less dense and less sturdy then the original one I had (I'm hoping it was JUST that one brush which is the only reason I took off a lippie because the others I had was still promising and I'm hoping they haven't lowered their quality). Overall, for the price and original quality, a MUST have!
I LOVE this brush! I bought it based on the reviews here and this product definitely lives up to its rating. It's ridiculously affordable, but feels very well-made to me. I use it to apply liquid foundation, tinted moisturizer, and powder. It's a little tougher trying to blend foundation over areas like undereyes and around my nose, but not impossible. I just have to slow down and use more precise motions. Lastly, I haven't noticed any shedding. Buy this brush!
This works well in buffing in powder, but i cant seem to handle it good around my under eyes and folds of my nose, seems like this brush is too flat for curvature of my face. I still have to use a mini buki brush to reach those areas. I think its a soft brush for the price ($3!!!) but not something I would invest in again.
I've been using this brush for almost 6 months and while I think it does give you a flawless application, the handle is really, really flimsy. It became loose at the halfway point about 1.5 months into my usage and I'm looking to get another brush with a sturdier handle (maybe a Sonia Kashuk). Packaging quality aside, I really like the finish that this brush gives me. I've used this with both liquid foundation and powdered products like blushes, and it works well for everything. The big size saves me a lot of time in the mornings applying foundation all over my face. However, due to the dense bristles, this brush does soak up a large amount of product so be mindful of that.
Overall I like this product and I think it rivals a lot of higher-end foundation brushes out there in terms of the finish it gives, ease of application and affordability. I will repurchase this. The flimsy handle does put me off a bit, though.
I like this, a lot. But, mine smelled very odd. Like, a black marker. Anyway, I can tolerate it. It's very soft, and applied my powder very nicely. It's great, and worth way more, than the price. I love e.l.f's studio brushes, but can't say the same for shipping... my last experience was hell. I was reimbursed for out of stock items that I really wanted (It's great they do that, but I won't pay 7 -10 dollars for one thing to get back) that included shipping btw. They are very on & off, this time around my package came early, but the processing took forever. I've ordered about 5 or 6 times from e.l.f so this is a fair warning. continued >>

A FREAKING MAZING i love love love love love love love love this product I CAN SAY I DID MILLIONS OF RESEARCHING ON THIS PRODUCT BEOFRE I BOUGHT IT and i can tell ya'll how happy iam i bought this twice ha i bought 2 at the same time i prefer more of foundation brush with my revlon colorstay foundation and its amazing omg i can't believe i went through 10 yrs without knowing about this type of brush!
ya'll gotta try it i mean its only 3 dollars can't hurt TRUST ME IMA CHEAPASS! lol
LOVE this brush! Had recently started using my BE heavenly flat topped brush that I'd thrown in a drawer awhile back for liquid foundation and found it to be pretty darn good except for the tiny hairs that it left behind and I had to be oh-so-careful when picking them off my face. Then I read about this brush by E.L.F. and thought I could risk three bucks. Because this was my first online purchase from E.L.F., shipping was free so I ordered one plus a couple of other items to try (including an eyeshadow brush which is great, too!). I think my entire purchase was like $12 and I got 4 items plus a free makeup palette and free shipping! Needless to say, this brush was my favorite item of the lot and I've since purchased another one for myself and a complete brush kit that includes this brush for my daughter for Christmas. On my second order they were running a 50% off deal on all Studio line items, so I got the $30 brush kit for $15 and the single brush for $1.50. I did have to pay the high shipping cost of $6.95, but it was still a deal. They did screw up, though, so be careful. When my order arrived, there was no brush kit and the packing slip said it was out of stock and to reorder, yet, my credit card was charged for it. I contacted them via their website and explained the situation and they immediately shipped one out within a few days. Not too crazy about the makeup I've tried so far (although I do love the HD powder), but the brushes are absolutely wonderful and very high quality. Soft bristles with no hair fallout and tight sturdy handles. I'm planning to buy some more for myself and my daughters and sister for gifts.

This flat top kabuki is the best thing since...anything. Ever. Soft bristles? Check. Even application of liquid foundation? Powder foundation? Blush? Check, check, check. It's so versatile, buffs makeup in flawlessly ( I prefer it over the 187, 188 and 190.)
I wish I discovered this before I wasted my money on mac face brushes- it just goes to show quality does not equal expensive! Would I repurchase? Already have :)
Don't hesitate to buy- Its sturdy, cheap and generally excellent in every way!

BTW: ELF shipping sucks! Be prepared to wait quite a while for your order. I waited almost 2 wks.
I read the reviews on MUA and defff had to try it for myself. OH MY WOW!! I normally use my MAC 188 brush for my liquid foundation. I paired this ELF powder brush with my Revlon colorstay foundation. I was in awe;)
I used the same technique with my 188, i gently dipped the top part of the brush on my hand and blotched all over my face and then subtly blended in small circles.(I did however have to use double the amt of foundation) it soaks it up really well. But i definitely didnt mind because the results were fabulous;)) Then i toped it off with MAC Fix+ after a few seconds, i went over again with the ELF powder brush to make sure it blends well. I was left with a slightly dewy, matte glow, which i absolutely LOVE:))
I now use my 188 brush for blush application, no longer for my foundation. Ladies, you can't go wrong for only $3! You have nothing to lose, but it's defff worth a shot!
