The smell put me off quite a bit at first (but then again, I don't like lavender at all). Sure, it's not the cheapest, and the container isn't posh or anything, but it's all natural and better for the environment that way, right? Anyway....After massaging this onto my face (the smell wasn't so strong once wet), rinsing it off, and patting dry, I must say my skin has NEVER felt so soft! And to think I was going to swap away this lovely little pot...NEVER!
This is a lovely gentle face scrub-most are too rough for my delicate skin but this one is just perfect. I wouldn't use it daily on my face though.
I also like the natural lavender scent.
I'm so confused with this product? Why is it under cleansers? Lush SA explained me it's an exfoliator and not something which should be used every day. Well, I wish they told me that when I was buying AOBS... I bought it after reading excellent reviews and I was so disapointed. I used it for 2 weeks. It meesed up with my pores, I broke badly. Every day I could spot a new blemish, and the old ones wouldn't dry. As exfoliator I think it doesn't scrub enough. I prefere Avene's Gentle exfoliating scrub and Avon's Clarskin Cleansing scrub. It's a good thing that I came back to Lush store, though. SA recommended me Aqua Marina and I'm very happy. Within few days it brought my skin back to normal! In fact, it's looking better than it ever did!
After all the great reviews, I was so excited to try this, but, as it always seems turn out when I get excited over something, this was a giant flop for me. It's not that it did anything bad to my skin, I just didn't notice anything wonderful either. I didn't feel the extra softness that others have commented on, it didn't clear up my blemishes at all, it didn't make my skin glow, but the sealing disapointment for me was that I didn't even feel clean after using it. And I really did give it a fair go. About a fortnight of use. Nothing. Varied ratio's of water:cleanser. Nothing. I'm trying it out right now as a mask instead, since it's got kaolin and all, and I'll see if that yields any better results..
This is great as scrub but as cleanser it doesn't really give squeeky clean feeling - I still use my Dermalogica ones. I can see that it would last long time as I only need tiny bit each time. Looks like poo in flimsy container.
i thought this product was totally horrible! it was so OILY! gross. and didn't do anything to my skin. waste of money. yuck.
I'm on my second batch of this and it's wonderful. First proper use instructions: Open the container with dry hands and pinch off a pea sized (or even less amount). Close it back up and store remainder in cool dry place. Now put pea sized amound in your cupped palm. Soak for face with water (I do this in the shower) and add a few drops to the product in your hand and make a paste. Massage paste all over face and neck and let stay on for 2-3 minutes (or more if you like). Rub excess on hand on cuticles and hands to make them soft and great smelling. Rinse completely.
AOBS leave my skin soft and glowy, helps control breakouts and is just fabulous stuff. It is not a great cleaner for removing a full face of makeup. I usually use it in the morning and it leaves my face smooth and ready to go. If desired, you can use this daily (I did this and my face was fine), but 3-4 times a week is good too if you need less exfoliation. If only I had a LUSH store nearby I'd use it all the time. 1 lippie off for packaging.
Ahhhh thank you Lush! Now that I have found their products I am on my way to clear blemish free even toned skin!
This cleanser makes my skin literally glow! I actually enjoy the novel way you apply this cleanser, and really look forward to using it! Angels really is the best cleanser I have used, thank you lush! :)
I wanted so bad to hate this product. I generally dislike Lush b/c of its overpowering scented products and unattractive packaging. I bought it on a whim as an emergency cleanser while my regular cleanser sat at home.
The product was crumbly, unattractive and difficult to use. The packaging was in a plain plastic tub, much like the tubs you get when you buy bulk food at the supermarket. After using it in the shower, I was amazed at how soft and smooth my skin felt. A little tub has lasted me three months already. Although I still hate Lush, I will tolerate this product and may even re-purchase in the future.
I bought this a couple of weeks ago beause Ocean Sea Salt was way too harsh for me. After you get over the initial "how do I use this", this is really brilliant. I usually leave it on as a mask for five minutes whilst I take a shower and then wash it off, and it leaves my skin as soft as a baby's bottom. I only use it about two to three times a week, because I don't think you should exfoliate every day. Definitely a keeper!!
