This has replaced my MAC bronzers. I am such a HUGE fan of this product. I love it soooo much. This bronzer is such a beautiful brown tan colour. No orange, no mudd, no reddy brown just a beautiful brown tanned colour. Whenever I wear this I always get compliments on how natural it looks or how tanned I am. Also I have been using this all the time and I still have tons of product left.
Ok first few times i used it i didn't like it but i've figured out that it was because it wasn't working well with the base i was using and my skin wasn't in the best condition. However, i've changed my foundation now and my skin also looks much better after i improved it through using homemade masks and moisturizers which i actually got off MUA (thanks guys!:D) So then i tried this bronzer again recently with my new foundation mixed with a subtle glowy highlighter, with nars multiple in south beach as a highlighter above my cheekbones OR sometimes on special occassions with abit of guerlain divinora extravagold all over powder swept on top and i love the look this gives!! My skin looks radiant, but not oily, sunkissed and really healthy. It doesn't look obvious although it makes a definite visible difference. It has great staying power and doesn't make me oily/dry and doesn't break me out even though i usually have sensitive skin!
I would advise using a light hand at first with this and then you can layer it if it's too light. I apply the bronzer near the top of my cheeks, forehead, sides of face, chin and lightly on my nose, then add a second light layer above my cheeks. Now and then i also use this to contour under my cheekbones. Then all i have to do is put on some pretty lipgloss, eyeliner and mascara and i look hot & naturally gorgeouss :D Would not re-purchase though as i love trying new stuff all the time and i'd like to try out some other bronzers. I also think this bronzer would last for agess. I have only tried this in autumn so i'd like to try it out in summer when i'm tanned and see how it looks? Will update then!
FYI: I'm 16, have very dark brown hair, dark brown eyes, combination medium toned skin with an olivey? undertone (i'm a mix of vietnamese and arabian if you can imagine what my skin colour looks like from that??lol) and i can tan easily in summer but my skin looks naturally alot lighter in winter but not exactly fair/pale! If it's hot i can get oily in summer but my skin is combi/normal in cold seasons and it's usually cooler as I live in the Uk lol. continued >>
This is my HG bronzer. I've been using it for about 3 months now and I couldn't be happier that I made the decision to buy this thanks to the reviews here on MUA. I'm a PPP and the color always looks natural...not orange or muddy. It's buildable as well without looking dirty like some bronzers can. I use it every single day and I haven't even made a dent in the compact, so I'm sure it will last a long time. It is expensive, but the drugstore bronzers just don't work for me and I've wasted too much money on bronzers that went in the trash or sat in the drawer. I love it and it is very deserving of the high rating it's gotten.
This is a little too light for me in the summer(NC40 studiofix) It is very natural with shimmer. I think this would be HG material for lighter skin tones, but for me it is too light.
my favorite bronzer, but you do have to have a certain colored skin for it to look natural. to me it is worth the price.
Provides an obvious and tacky look. Why have to work so hard to blend a product that starts off as a muddy mess, when there are stunning bronzers available with little effort required other than a casual sweep across features.
I had the Laguna/Orgasm duo and swapped it away. The bronzer is just too dark and brown for me - I prefer bronzers with shimmer, as well. This would work well for those who are tanned or have dark complexions, I think.
This product is my HG. The price is a little hefty but worth every penny. I was told by my friend that the full size bronzer would last me over a year but I'm already starting to see the bottom of the pan. I use it everyday, and I love the way it makes me look realistically sunkissed. None of that fake orange glow you get from a lot of other products. The only thing that bugs me about Laguna and all other NARS face products is the packaging. I love the sleekness and simplicity of the packaging but I hate how the bronzer sticks on the outside of the package. However I still would and will continue to buy Laguna.
I love this! It gives me a great overal glowy, tanned look, that I can changed based on what I'm doing that day. It really amps up my cheekbones and can even be used as an all over body highlighter. Granted, it really does require a good bristle brush, and a couple of tries to get the application right, but it is so worth it. Plus you really get alot of bronzer in the package, and it lasts a long time, so the price is compensated for. I have also discovered that if you really want to complete the "naturally luminous" look, you can use Nars Turkish Delight Lip Gloss on your lips. (I didn't really find this out on my own, but read it under "Classics" on the Nars website.)
Okay, well I swapped for this upon the advice of others after my Sugar ran out and my Chanel toundra started to disappoint me. First off, it looks green in the pan to me! Truly green, which I guess is a more realistic bronze color which might have some patina to it. I love that it's a big flat rectangle of bronzer so I'm not dealing with another huge Cargo tin or bulky Chanel compact. I have to say that the color is gorgeous. I apply bronzer all over as I have a lighter medium face and a tan neck and body due to self-tanner (even in the winter!). So I need my bronzer to look natural but to be there. Chanel was so sheer that I was putting on 10,000 coats and in your 30's more powder is not your friend! This is really not sparkly on me at all. I have huge pores and this does not magnify them but leaves me with a realistic tan face with a subtle glow. Can't rave enough about this. HG for sure. Anyone want to swap for my MAC now?
