I got the european version in 400ml for about 5 dollars - thats under 1 dollar for 1.6oz.
I use to use very expensive creams/serums like Sisley etc. And this cream is just as good - or actually better! It firms, plumps and keep my face moistured all day. For under a dollar for a months use day and night! How good is that :)
I got sensitive normal to dry skin. It hasnt make my skin break out.
UPDATE: Still love it. The best cream ever!!
No more expensive products, when this cream deliver better!
Better than Sisley, Chanel, Dior, La Mer, Estee Lauder and all the others I have tried!!!
I bought the little travel tin size from Ulta on a whim. I like the packaging, very compact and easy to travel with. I use it mostly as a hand cream, and on my elbows or knees in an emergency. I always carry regular lotion around, but nothing ever seems to really work on my hands. Some of the commenters mentioned the tin version is unsanitary, which it is, but I only use it on my hands after using a anti bacterial gel. This formula is very thick, very heavy, I cant believe people use this on their face! I suppose it would be good for someone who has a very dry face, Im really oily so I think this would irritate my skin a lot. The creme keeps my hands hydrated and feeling soft, it was only like 3$ for the tin, so I will probably repurchase.
I bought this in a tube version.
It smells so strong and i dont like it strong, yet it's very creamy and buttery. It works GREAT for my hands, elbows and knees. But when it comes to dry patches, it does not seem to work that well.
I really wish I could see al the hype. I have the original in the tin too. Which, if i may say, is very unhygienic for one.
When I try and put this on my legs and arms after showering, it goes on like rubber. It's IMPOSSIBLE to spread at all, and it's so heavy. It just sits on my skin for about an hour, until it either comes off or sinks in.
I wouldn't dare to put this on my face. I didn't even notice it moisturising a whole lot.
My favorite heavy moisturizer. I remember my mom having the little tins around in her vanity area. I don't notice a difference between the German and Mexico version other than price. Theres a difference in the ingredients though.
Anyway, a jar (which I love) lasts quite awhile. I put some in little jars and carry it with me. Can be used anywhere. :)
Nivea Creme holds a big place in my heart. Believe it or not, my great grandmother used to travel the world and met and married a German 10 years before WWII. She moved to Germany, and they lived there for 5 years until they moved to America (where she was from) to escape the tension. Guess what managed to come back with my Gran? This creme. Her and my mother swear by it. I remember throwing fits as a child when she would slather this on my chapped, windburned face and tell me that Marilyn Monroe used this. I remember layering this stuff on so thick at night just wishing I would wake up with blonde hair and that famous beauty mark.
Honestly, I can't remember my Gran having any wrinkles even in her 80's. This is why Nivea has been in my bathroom cupboard since I was a child. It works. It doesn't clog pores, leaves skin bright and dewy, and lasts forever.
The best part? Opening up the tub and breathing in the sweet smell of Nivea.. It can't be mistaken.
Okay, this is officially one of my favourite products. I've just applied Nivea Creme onto my face&Legs and several hour later I have a soft baby skin!
I totally recommend people who have a combination/dry skin to use it. For people with an oily skin; You should cleanse your face first, and after the oil has been washed away, apply a thin layer of Nivea creme onto your face. Even people with an oily skin need to use moisturizer to give them that bright look. I'm now trying to apply the creme underneath& around my eyes. I'm curious how it will turn out!

Use the German version!! It works great and is effective. Plus, it's cheap and lasts a really long time.
im in junior high and my mom is still skeptical about teens using make up(its obviously because she don't use it) and one day i got really dry and itchy skin on my checks from dry weather and she recommended me to use it. it was creamy and it made my skin soft and silky. i dont know much about creams and the difference between night cream and so on..but applying this before you sleep reduces scaly skin so dont waste your money on brand names when you can use this!!!
Let me start off saying that I usually use Clarins and Shiseido in summer and La Mer in Winter. In other words, I spend $$$ on facial moisturizer. This summer, I somehow wanted to give Nivea a try as a facial creme. The result - I LOVE IT. My sensitive skin has become baby soft. The allergic and patchy face has a much more even colour (note that I am not allergic to mineral oil). My face has a glow to it.
To all who have problem applying this thick creme, just apply it like applying La Mer. You rub a small amount between the fingers of both hands for about 20 seconds, warming, softening and spreading the cream. Then you *pad* it on the face. The initial greasiness of the creme is fully absorb in 2-3 hours, leaving a soft feeling to the touch.
