I was leary about buying a matte eyeshadow, but I'm so glad I did! It gives such a natural effect, even if you build it up for a dramatic look. It is a great compliment to my hazel-green eyes. I know that MAC describes it as a rosy brown or something like that, but it looks plummy purple on me which is great. It is a little chalky and doesn't go on evenly, which means I have to blend, blend, blend, but I find that it's worse if I apply it directly on top of my UDPP. So now I apply Jest all over the eye and then Haux on the lid and in the crease. I have this in a make-it-yourself palette with Shale, Jest and Quarry.

I love this color! I am very fair so I usually wear more nudes or purples but I bought this and the fresco rose paint pot with the intention of trying to create a speedy look that can easily be moved from day to night. I use the paint pot all over the lid and define the outer V with haux using a pencil brush, then I take my 217 and blend it in a little. In the evenings I will add more haux more into my crease and re-define the outer V and add a black to the outer V and blend it in. Great versatile color!
Love this colour, it compliments my eyes and my skin tone perfectly. For me it is best used in the outer crease with Mac Shroom all over the lid. My fav everyday look!
My eyes are green but sometimes can look blue depending upon what colours i am wearing. Haux helps to make them looking super green and really make them stand out which is what i love.
Haux is one of my fave shadows. A lovely matte reddish/plum brown that really enhances green eyes.
When I fancy an all matte look as a change from shimmer I use MAC Quarry as an inner third lid colour, Haux as an outer thirds lid colour and Embark in the crease/outer V. It makes my green eyes really pop without being too dramatic.
I also use Haux over my lid with Beauty Marked in the crease for a smokey eye look.
Has a gorgeous texture that's easy to blend whilst still being matte, because it's a 'satin' finish.
Will absolutely be repurchasing.
I love Haux. It is a beautiful plummy red brown with no shimmer. It looks awesome in the crease with Orb, Motif, Yogurt or Style Snob on the lid. It also looks good as a wash of color itself on the lid. It's just a very pretty and sophisticated color. Great for green-eyed folks!
I love Haux for a lid color when doing a smokey eye using Star Violet, Beauty Marked and Vex. Its the perfect base for that, but also a gorgeous color on its own.
This is the crease shadow I reach for when I'm wearing mauves, plums, and purples. I find it to be much more plum than brown or taupe--indeed, I'd call it a taupey plum rather than a plummy taupe/brown, as others have described it. Then again my olive skin tends to play up pinky tones. Given that it's practically purple on me, I don't think of it as a neutral, but it's still a lovely, relatively muted crease color choice for when I want some drama but don't want to go over the top.

I was looking for a dup for the iMark wink wink eyeshadow, a light brown toupe color i love using for my crease in a MAC shadow. Love MAC shadows. The MUA said this color HAUX would be great as a crease color as well as an all over lid color,......she was right! I love it in the crease paired with ricepaper and i love love love it as a lid color paired with Sketch, sexy smokey eye not not over the top to wear for work!!! I will repurchase again and again.
I love this shade for everyday, it is a medium, muted pinky brown. It works really well all over the lid and in the crease...I love it with 'Girly'.
