I can't believe I haven't reviewed this eyeshadow yet. I've had it for almost a year and wear it all the time. It shows up more goldish on my fair skin which is great because it brings out my blue eyes. I wear it alone on my lazy makeup days. One of my favourite Fall combinations is ATG on the lid, woodwinked in the crease, antiqued to deepen outer V, and vanilla to highlight the inner corner and brow bone. If I could only own one MAC shadow, this would be it!
I'm someone who loves sticking to neutrals but likes to branch out ever so often with something more veluxe pearl from mac-- think woodwinked, expensive pink, etc. I heard so many great things about all that glitters but i wish I hadn't ordered it. It's a nice champagne-y pinkish color on me, but it reminds me of a less pink version of expensive pink which I love way more. If i had had all that glitters when i was in high school, i think it would have been my favorite shade. i kind of feel a little too old for it, but maybe i'll wear it on funner occasions, like NYE. I just dont wear it that much and think its one of the shades I could have done without. Wont repurchase.
Edit: I have to return this, I tried it on again and I just can't see myself wearing it. Although I'm sure its nicer on fairer skin than mine and for ppl who like more shimmer.
I bought this eyeshadow because of all the hype on Youtube, and everyone talking about how fantastic the color is. I use mostly neutral colors, but this did nothing for me. The color is pretty, but it doesn't work on my NC15 skin, even over a colored paint pot. There are just better neutral MAC colors out there.
I thought I would like this. Its not a bad product but its not amazing for me, It dosent really look great with my nc30 skin, I find this to show up too orange on my eyes!
Absolutely adore this colour! It's just perfect for a day time makeup were you just can't be bothered making the effort. A bit of this on the lid and blended out and your ready to go looking glamourous! Deffinately a must x
This was my first mac eyeshadow! it is soo pretty and works for any coloring! I love it! It applies very well and dosnt take much to show up! its good for an all over the lid natural look!
All That Glitters is an interesting shadow. Depending on where the light hits it, it shows up either champagne shimmer or a peachy hue. The only problem w/ this shadow is that it isn't as pigmented on me like the girl in the 4th pic for this review. I have medium skintone (NC40) and this shadow shows up on the sheer side for me. It almost blends right in w/ my skintone. I have to use 3 layers to get the color to show up more vibrant. But, once I achieve good pigmentation, the color is truly beautiful. Because this is a VP formula, it blends well and the texture is very smooth. I love using this as an all over lid color for those quick makeup days.
All that Glitters is the perfect all over the lid and crease color. I apply with a fluffy blending brush, no primer, which allows my own deeper crease color to show through and looks very natural but better. It's like MLBB - for your eyelids :) Highlight under the brow with a pale frost, apply eyeliner and mascara and it's a great everyday eye look. There is no glitter in this shadow, just shimmer, and the shimmer is perfect juxtaposed to dark eyeliner for definition and to make the eyes pop. (NC25-30, hazel eyes)
I liked it at first, but after I kept using it, I realized it turned a bit orange on me. However, when I wear it, I got compliments. Now I just wear it in moderation. It was my first MAC eyeshadow and I'm glad I picked it up, however I won't repurchase, because I like to try new things, and I want to find something a little more flattering.
