Okay, my name is Ruth.............and..........and........well............I'm addicted to lipglass. It's not my fault okay ?????? MAC make the most beautiful colors and there are always so many new releases, a girl can never have too many glosses, right ? The texture is so lovely, just sticky enough, so many different finishes, very long lasting. I'm almost ashamed to admit how many I've owned over the years, if I could only remember ! Anyway, I'm owning it, I'm addicted and proud. Keep 'em coming MAC ;P

I am a lip gloss junkie. As I sit here writing this, approximately 500 lip glosses are living all over my house - my summer colors are being phased out, and put in boxes under the sink, while my fall colors are being hauled out into my vanity. And let me tell you, a very sizeable chunk of this collection is a result of my longstanding love of MAC lipglass.

The colors are, for the most part, gorgeous and fairly unique. On my NW20 skin, I'm currently loving Lust (a lip-toned neutral), Lovechild (a golden plum), and Spirited (a pinkish taupe). Other favorites include C-Thru (a pale, pale nude), Cultured (cool, shimmery pink), Enchantress (pinky peach) and Viva Glam VI (a plummy berry).

Lots of people bitch about how these glosses are too sticky. The consistency is thick, yes, but the staying power is phenomenal, for a gloss. On days when the stickiness bothers me, I just cut the stuff with some Carmex. But for the most part, the gloss's supposed viscosity is a welcome reprieve from all the thin, runny glosses out there.

In short, Lipglass is probably my most loved lip product. If you don't own some, GO BUY SOME!

Probably one of the better lip glosses I've ever used. Colors don't fade, and the gloss stays put. Hardly any of that absorbing that goes on with drugstore brands. Doesn't have all the fruity flavors we've come to associate with lip glosses either (although, it does have a slight vanilla scent), which may attribute to some of the "fading" that happens with other lip glosses (smack smack). Anyway, some people complain that it's too sticky. I actually don't consider it off-putting. Yes, it's a little thicker than most lip glosses, but that's where the staying power comes from. I actually like it because even after you wipe it off, there is some "sticky" residue that stays and inadvertently keeps your lips nice and moist. Two birds, one stone, I say.

I think Mac's lipglasses are some of the best on the market. Their wide spectrum of colors, the price (cheaper than a lot of other department store brands), the quality (last a long time, moisturizes lips), and the scent (vanilla!) have me purchasing a lot lately. I also enjoy that there are some pretty wild colors in the tube, but on lips, most people could probably wear them. I just love these!

Definitely the best gloss I've ever tried, nothing can compete with the shine factor, lasting power or color selection. And those are by far the most important factors with a gloss.

The stickiness can get insane, for example I love the lustreglasses for the less sticky finish (and better brush) but they last so much less that you wind up using twice the amount in a single day to maintain lips.

My sister introduced it to me, her and my favorite shade is C-thru because we love the same modern mod look, light light lips and defined slightly smoky eyes. She still wears it day in day out.

Big bonus: Really does moisturize, every time my lips start getting flaky I start using this and they are repaired, not even Creme de La Mer does that for me.

I was introduced to MAC first by brushes then eyeshadows then lipglass. I only used to go to MAC for eyeshadows and never really checked out their lip products. Now...I am in LOVE. Lipglass/lustreglass are my favorite products by MAC aside from their brushes and Studio Fix powder/foundation. I am a total lipglass freak now...when I stop by MAC during shopping days I will almost always get a lipglass. The packaging is great, compact for your purse and comes with a doe foot wand. I personally like the brushes on the lustreglasses but the doe foot works just as well. The colors are so diverse and I don't think I have ever seen the same color...even though many are similar, there is a special coloring in each lipglass which makes every lipglass unique. Try their limited edition lipglasses because they are by far the best colors of all the lipglasses. The best lipglass I have ever purchased is Love Knot from the Naughty Nautical line. What makes the lipglasses good are the finishes which can vary from frosty, creamy, sheer, and shimmery. Many lipglasses offer versatile uses such as the "icing" on top of the "cake" meaning a simple finish to a great matching lipstick. Also, MAC always comes out with collections that have l/s and matching l/g. Otherwise you can always match your favorite lipglass with almost every shade of lipstick you have. You can also wear it on it's own adding just the right amount of product to make those lips irresistible. Lipglass is a product that EVERYONE must try at least once. And if you find yourself loving your very first lipglass, you'll love each and every one that comes after.
EDIT 6/18/08: I think I have to take off 2 lippies on one factor: stickiness. The lustreglasses/chromeglasses are less sticky. I think since I discovered how great slimshines are, I have turned to them instead of lipglasses. I still love my lustreglasses but lipglass is just wayy too sticky.

I'm a total lipgloss ho, so I don't think I could commit to saying this is my alltime favorite because there are so many brands that I love, but MAC lipglass would definitely be in my top 3. The pigmentation is some of the best I've found. I love how with shades like pink poodle - what you see in the tube is what you get. Yes MAC has some sheer colors, but overall I love the great color payoff of lipglasses. They're loved/hated for their famous stickiness. I love it because it makes them longer lasting, and despite the stickiness they're also fairly moisturizing. I guess if I have one complaint, it would be that they don't contain any spf. It would be a nice addition, but spf or not I'll continue buying them. I'm addicted!
