Yikes! This scrub is definitely not for acne-prone skin. For the first couple of days, I loved how soft it left my skin. Then I started breaking out in whiteheads all over my face, even in places where my skin is normally clear (I normally only get hormonal acne on my chin). Since this is an acne product, I didn't realize it was the culprit. I used it for two weeks before I figured it out. Within three days of stopping my skin was back to normal. Also, I've since read that the scrubbing granules in this scrub are too sharp and cause micro-tears in the skin, which are bad on both a short- and long-term basis. I do not recommend this scrub.

This product did not to anything good for my skin. I think I actually broke out more when I started using this product. And a reviewer below commented how it's bad for your skin- I've read the same thing. Someone compared it to a pore being like a bowl, and the apricot pieces would be like bricks, and imagine filling the bowl with bricks- it's damaging. You should only get exfoliators with beads that won't tear your skin up and deform your pores. The smell was nice, but overall, I will not be touching this product again.

I have been using this scrub for over 5 years. When I use it consistently, I notice a decrease in breakouts. It can be harsh when used on the face, so I like to mix it with my cleanser (currently Cetaphil Gentle) to tone down the roughness. That way I still get the acne-fighting benefits, but there's a buffer. I like to leave it on for a minute or two to let the salicylic acid have a chance to work. It works well on body breakouts and general body exfoliation too. I use it on my chest, arms, and shoulders a few times a week and my skin is left soft and smooth. I use it on my bikini line pre-shaving and I don't get any razor burn. It also makes a great foot scrub! It's very cheap and even though I use it every time I shower in some way, one tube lasts months. It's definitely one of my favorite drugstore finds and I will use it forever!

I liked this product. It helped my mild acne, it wasn't too abrasive, it smells great.

User beware.. I actually used to love using this stuff because it made my face feel clean, but my dermatologist has told me that this will actually damage and destroy my skin in the long term.. yikes. The granules that are responsible for the 'scrub' part are irregularly shaped and will create micro-tears in your skin. Decided to ditch this product and go with gentler/smoother scrubs.

Since I've stopped using this (and other products with salicylic acid), I've noticed that my 'sensitive' skin has become much less sensitive and less prone to redness.

A really great exfoliator, but maybe not the best acne control. It clears up my skin and helps soothes it but I still breakout occassionally here and there.

Pro:
Great exfoliator
Soothes skin
Cleanses
Helps with blackheads
May release ingrown hairs (Scrub harder)
Great scent

Con:
Still breakout here and there

Would still buy
Not very foamy

I used this product in middle school and junior high (maybe that was what was wrong with my face!), and in an effort to save money, I recently decided to repurchase and try again. BIG MISTAKE. I haven't had a large breakout in years, and after using this product for a week, I had perhaps the biggest breakout I've ever had. I thought that maybe it wasn't the product, so I decided to try it again (after giving my skin a month using my HG Aveeno cleanser) and just like I feared, it happened again. I know that this product works very well for some people, so maybe it's just my skin type (oily, somewhat sensitive) that reacts badly with it. Maybe the scrub itself is just too harsh. Whatever it is, I definitely won't be repurchasing! The one positive thing I will say about it is that it makes an amazing body scrub! I have a tube left from when I purchased it to retry, and I've been using it about once a week as a body exfoliant. It makes your skin super soft, and it works wonders for dry knees and elbows! So over all, is it good for the face? Not at all.

LOVE. My skin really isn't that sensetive, ur is very acne prone, my pimples and blackheads were GONE in 2 days. But it is very grainy, but thats why it works so well!!!! I will definitely buy again once my tub runs out.

It's not bad, but it's not the best scrub either. I like it's beads and i actually kinda find it too small, but some people feel it's too big to be used for face. I use it to "burst" my pimples whenever i'm having breakouts cause i have the tendency to pick at them. Using this is definitely cleaner for my face. I also like to use on days i wear make up to really get deep into the pores and get all the leftover make up off. The formula itself is not too bad and i can feel my skin more moisturized after using it, so i don't have to use such a heavy toner after that. I've had it for several months and i'm only about halfway done. Just a small squirt goes a really long way. It's affordable and it's good enough for me. Will repurchase if i cannot find a better exfoliator :)

I have terrible blackheads on my nose, however this is a great scrub. Not for everyday use, because it is a bit harsh, but it shrunk my pores a bit and cleared up my nose a bit too. I have re purchased this many times, mainly because it does the job and I can get it for less than 4$. I recommend it!
