Ouch...this stuff really hurt. I can see that it would be good for some, but if you have sensitive skin, back away from this product.
I tried a sample of it from Sephora, it has a great fresh strawberry scent but the scrub was a little harsh on my sensitive skin.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this product!!
I have adult acne very oily skin and I love this product because one thing I learned with having oily skin is that I need to moisturize as much as other people! I use to use only oil free or oily skin specific products but that just made my face produce more oil. This product is great because I feel pampered when I use it... I focus on my t-zone and rub it around watching TV... then I leave it on for 10 mins... or the next commercial break, (I admit I left it on for an hour before) and after I wash my face it has this sensational glow!! I alternate this with Dr. Brandt's Microdermabration cream.
I recommend this to anyone! i love it!
I always wanted to try this scrub since it's mentioned in so many beauty mags. I got a sample of it at NM, and, at first, liked it very much. The ingredients are pretty much natural, the scent is extremely pleasant, and the scrub is gentle. However, I started to notice red bumps on my chin the following week and determined that it was due to the "natural oils" in the scrub. For someone who is not acne-prone, would recommend this scrub, but only if they want to pay the outrageous price. There are much better scrubs that are definitely cheaper. Would not repurchace.
I got a sample of this with a Sephora order some time ago and was quickly hooked. This is a gentle, non-irritating scrub that still manages to polish skin effectively. You only need a small amount, and as you rub the sugar grains dissolve leaving skin soft and hydrated. The scent can't be beat and the ingredient list is great. I'm not sure if it's quite worth the $55 price, but I'll probably continue to buy.
I received a sample of this when I placed an order from Fresh, which has lasted quite a long time--a little goes a long way. I'm a little wary of manual exfoliators, but have to say that this does a very nice job--my skin is incredibly soft after using this. The smell is nothing special, but not unpleasant. My only gripe is that after washing the scrub off, a thin greasy film still remains, which must be toweled off or more vigorously washed. I probably wouldn't buy this, just because Fresh is ridiculously expensive, and I'm sure I can find an equivalent for cheaper.
I could make this at home with very simply ingredients. The sugar melted away before I could get down to business. Its high priced stuff but doesnt really live up to the hype. It smelled like I could eat it and my dog attempted to, but when I put it onto my skin it melted on contact and became slimey. I recommend getting a great recipe and making this at home. not worth the price tag.
Ooh...can't tolerate this face scrub. It's much too abrasive (avoid if you already use heavy duty AHA/BHA products or retinoids), and it doesn't rinse clean. There's definitely an oily residue that refuses to wash away. I like the Brown Sugar body polish, and will gladly splurge on jars of that...the face scrub however, I'll have to pass on.
