My new best friend! I purchased the half brown/half black two weeks ago at Sephora and have not stopped using it. At first I applied directly to my upper eyelid and it faded and smudged by the afternoon. Now I apply a layer of BE bisque first as an eyebase and now it has awesome staying power. It basically stays on until I remove at night.
I have only been using this product for about 2 weeks but I gotta say how much I love it. I have oily eyelids and it's hard for anything to stay on. I was using Smashbox's creme liners and even with she laq on top they would smudge. With this liner the application is easy specially if you use get bent e/l brush by benefit and it lasts all day. I love that you get two colors but I do with they would expand the color variety like MAC.
love this cake eyeliner! one container lasts FOREVER! been using this for 10 years & only up to my 2nd purchase. gives a natural look, easier to use than liquid/pencil liners (i run water through sephora's professional liner brush, mix into cake til desired consistency & color...like how you would with water color), and lasts throughout day (no she-laq required)... with exception of sweatin through a workout. =) wish more colors were offered though like MAC's fluidline ...tempted to try this next. stay tuned... =) continued >>
sophia is my hg, I adore this liner. Thank goodness it last forever since benefit has stopped selling black by itself
This stuff is so awesome.. i have gone through 3 brushes at 18-22$ each and 2 things of this in tha last few years!! eyeliner is my passion! i love this stuff! xoxo
Words cannot describe how much I love this liner. I actually cried when my step-mum borrowed it and lost it, I am not joking. This is THE BEST liquid liner by far. It is easy to apply, stays on and never dries out. In 3 years I have gone through 2, one was the lost one...tears. I wear this everyday and it has become my signature makeup item. This is definetely a HG for me. No She-laq required.
Babecake eyeliner has to be my favorite item in my makeup case! I have tried out a multitude of eyeliners, but this is THE ONE! It has great staying power (I do use it with She Laq, just incase...)
Most liquid liners aren't matte, but this one definitely is! I think it photographs well. Before, I used to get GLARE on my eyeliner. (?!) Not anymore! It's rather convenient to use, I think. It definitely doesn't crack nor flake, like most liquid eyeliners do. Also, I use it for my eyebrows! It took a while to get the hang of it, but yeah... it does work! Only drawback: I don't like how they do the duos (both brown and black in a package), however. Even though the brown is a nice shade (it is BROWN, no red tones whatsoever), it is just not for me and doesn't suit my style. For those of you gals out there looking for a retro look, this is it!
For me, BeneFit is best for core staples. Babecake eyeliner, dandelion, high beam. This is a really good investment - and you get brown and black in one so the price isn't so steep. And yes, this will last ages. The consistency is wonderful - it isn't *quite* as good as the laura mercier dry-wet eyeliner but I prefer the price, and really there isn't much in it quality wise so I'll carry on with this. The brown is good for day. The black is very glam. Partnered with the angled liner brush this works A*. I put off buying this for ages, opting instead for cheaper liquid liners like L'Oreal but I should have taken the plunge earlier. ACE.

these could be a little cheaper, but they work well. i like cake liners in general, but this brand isn't any better than lafemmes or ben nye's and those brands are much cheaper. i've had this liner for over 4 years and it still has not gone bad. a little product goes a long way due to the dense pigmentation. a pot of this will last you about forever. it's of good quality but a bit expensive for what it is.
I never understood why cake liners would be better or different than using wet e/s as a liner...I was wrong. I have this in Audrey (brown) and it creates such a rich color when applied wet and doesn't fade. Lasts without smudging and is much better IMO than liquid liner, pencil liner, or wet e/s used as liner. I haven't used other cake liners, but I am very pleased with this one.
