I don't know if I just don't like the way any shade of red lipstick looks on my lips, or if red just isn't my color of a lipstick choice. Either way, I didn't like it. I've tried it twice now, and I don't think I'll try it again. I look severely overdone when I wear this, and not that it isn't a great lipstick, because it is. I just don't think I look good in it.
Great for a stain!!!! I love it...I put on some light pink gloss or clear gloss...interesting combo and I've always been one to do interesting combinations. NC42...very nice.
Another of the all time great Revlon lipppies.
This has been around forever and is legendary.
I love this for night time or as a stain for day. It is a fuscia red tone which can be worn as a lovely accent with nude color cat eyes which is how it was worn in the 50's. This is not a lipstick for those who want a reddish tinge but is rather a full on red.
The price and quality of Revlon lippies cannot be beat.
I LOVE this shade of lipstick. It is so perfect for fall!!! And as one of the previous reviewers said, I love having the guts to wear it out. This is an amazingly flattering color, that I don't think I've come across before and I have tons of lipstick. This is a non-drying lipstick that wears for a looong time. Even after eating, I still had a nice "stained lips" effect. Will be adding a back up soon
Love this product!!! The color literally makes my skin glow and lifts my complexion. I've gotten so many compliments from guy friends while wearing this. It's must have for the fall.
My search for the perfect red lipstick has continually brought this lipstick into my hand, amongst others. I finally gave in and bought it today because Meijer was having a BOGO on Super Lustrous lippies. I bought it fully knowing it was a blueish, fuchia red. I ripped open the packaging and applied one swipe across my lip balmed mouth & fell in love. This color is VERY bright when applied full strength. Heck, it is very bright when applied over balm to tone it down, but what a fun color! I was worried this would look bad against my skintone (N4) but I feel like it brightens me up, and I feel uber girly wearing it. I think that this can be worn for daytime over a few swipes of lip balm, but it may take some *ahem* balls for me to wear it full strength.
Bummer for my yellow toned complexion. I was looking for a bright red, and this product is bright fuschia. If I'm going clubbing, great but definitely not a lipstick I could even tone down for the daytime.
This color is nuts (in a good way)! This is technicolor bright, deep hot pink. I love the name and the fact that it's a classic, having been introduced in the 1950s. Honestly, this color will not work for many women, and if you're at all self-conscious, don't bother.
This lipstick is VERY PIGMENTED. But I will say if you want a "just bitten" look, this is the way to go. I remember seeing someone post something on Livejournal about this Fashion Ad, and how apparently it was "Cherries in the Snow". It was not the lipstick color, but I became intrigued (what a CUTE name btw). I bought it in a whim. I must say this is not a cherry at ALL. it's a mix of fuchsia and red. theres ALOT of pink tones in it. i dont know what tone i am (i'm pretty sure its warm though, i don't have cool colored skin AT ALL) i think its warm. my cool skinned friend looks WAY better in it then me, but I still love this lipstick very much. It lasts, moisturizing, and if you want a stain, it's your best friend :)

A bright,cool-toned red that is designed to suit "Snow White" complexions.I am the wearer of the lipstick in the second photo above and I'm just not sure if it works for me.This colour is far from my usual colour range but this is part of the reason I bought it.I believed a colour like this would tap into my idea of a 50's Hollywood screen siren and would feel fun and sexy to wear.I usually reach for fake tan and bronzers but one day I thought "You know what?I'm going to appreciate my natural skin colourings".After hearing/seeing good reviews for this product I decided this would be the perfect product to bring out my porcelain skin tones.I had to wait a while for it to reach the UK and was really excited to buy it in my local Boots store. The price is great for the quality of the product, the formulation is lovely and packing is very sophisticated.
For someone who is used to light pinks, first time application was really scary! This is the first time I have realised the importance of lip liner as I was smudging all over the place.I tried dabbing it on instead but this left me with an uneven finish. This is probably not the products fault but more down to my inexperience.
So at first I thought "Great!Bright red lips that Marilyn Monroe would be proud of" and once paired with pale eyeshadows & mascara it really fittted in to the Femme Fatale/Classic look I wanted. However,I went downstairs to the kitchen where my mum was standing and she just said "What have you done to your lips?!" and explained that she thought it looked silly on me and over the top.
I knew this was a statement lipstick but the reactions I got weren't "wow, that lipstick is amazing!" it was more "woah,that's...erm...a...bright lipstick".Someone even said that I looked like a lightbulb with such a bright face! It's a funny thing that the reason I picked this lipstick (blue toned-will make me seem fresher, more awake and my teeth whiter) ended up being the reason it didn't suit me.The lipstick worked too well!
I'm still really glad it's on my collection though,I believe every woman should own a little black dress, perfume & a red lipstick.
If you are used to red lipstick (or perhaps the people around you are used to you wearing a red lipstick in my case) then this is a great buy.It requires confidence but if you can make it work then it will make you sparkle.
