This is my HG loose powder For some reason Tranfulcent 1 and 2 both work to me. It is matte but not dry at all. It is expensive but the huge container lasted my a year! I am on my third container now.

Fantastic. It gives a matte finish without making my skin look dry - i have dry skin and this works surpisingly well.

I got mine for £25.72 which is reasonable considering it is one of the biggest makeup brands and i was especially surprised when i opened it, it was huge! It comes with a lot and a cute little powder puff though i prefer using a brush.
Normally when i buy expensive makeup they come in tiny little dinky things for the money and you dont get much but the container is large - not exactly portable in my handbag! - but you get a lot for your money.

Looks great on top of foundation. Matte and natural finish, and dry skins can still use it too. Really good, will buy again x

Very fine, absorbs oil well, huge jar which lasts quite awhile. A tad bit expensive.

my HG loose powder. if i use the puff i can wear it alone for a very natural but not a dull matt look; if i use a brush it sets my makeup very nicely. the package is elegant..i don't think it's overpriced since the quality is satisfying.

I love this powder. I love the look it gives me. It literally makes my skin look flawless. Hate the sponge that comes with it, I apply it with Smashbox # 1 brush and the effect is amazing. It's great for setting liquid foundation or cream blushes or it can be worn on its own, either just over moisturizer or over primer. I'm definitely going to buy it again- if I ever run out, there's just so much product. Definitely worth the $50 or so Canadian.

I have this in clair as I have really fair skin and it sets my makeup beautifully, mattifying without looking cakey just perfect. It is very finely milled and after applying with the puff and brushing the excess with a large powder brush the effect is lovely. I use thish alongside the vitalumiere foundation and my skin looks perfect but natural a great loose powder, which also lasts the entire day.

I bought this in Peach and I really love it. It gives my pale skin a warm, healthy, even glow. It takes away any shine and hasn't caused me to break out. It comes in a hugh, pretty tub so I think the price is reasonable considering the quality and quanity. This is definitely going to be a staple for me. If you're looking for a beautiful powder to set your make-up for the day and enhance the look of your skin then I would go with this.

I was talked into buying this by the lady at the counter, and I'm so glad I did! This powder sits really beautifully-- it doesn't cake like some, and it goes on very subtly, whilst still taking away any oilyness. The packaging is lovely and it lasts for asolutely ages: a great investment!
It manages to enhance my paleness without making me look wan or ghostly. In fact, it somehow makes me look healthier and more ethereal at the same time. Quite a trick! This is good over concealer or alone to give a nice polished, finished appearance. It tones down blotchiness and shine without masking freckles, and doesn't catch on hidden dry spots or turn dark from oily patches. Really just lovely. It costs a bucket, but is sure to last a long time. If I were really wealthy, I would buy a second box to keep at the office, though -- while this does hold up longer than you would expect most powders to do, I could use a touch up by afternoon.

I am a loose powder addict, and most of all I love my translucent 1 Chanel powder - it's very fine, doesn't dry my skin out or settle on dry patches, it lasts well but isn't too matt, the colour is perfect. The price is silly but then, I'm a sucker for Chanel...and you do get lots.
I don't get the point of the puff though! it's all about a big soft brush for me.

This is for the shade #37 MERVEILLE, a 2007 Xmas limited release. Described as a light gold powder with warm gold iridescent shimmer. Actually, the shade is very very similar to La Mer's 05 translucent - a sheer light peach/beige hue which is also suitable for my yellow undertones. It contains beautiful gold shimmer specks which are quite obvious on the skin. Unlike other iridescent powders I have used, this has the same "chalk" finish as other Chanel loose powders except with more sparkles. It does not have a overall iridescent about it at all. The gold specks are similar to what Mac's MSF Vegas/New Vegas would create for the skin. I had to get this because it was "gold" and LE, but for its effects I have a combination of powders which can create the same effects. Very generous tub size like La Mer, destined to last forever.
