Didn't work at all for me. Cheaper foundations tend to turn "orang-y" on my very fair, freckly complexion and this was no exception! Also, left my face shiny after some wear.
When I originally reviewed this, I hated it. I have since given it another try, and I am more pleased this time...so I'll write another review.
First, the color I originally purchased was WAY too light (it was #1, whatever that is). I am a PPP, but that is a WAY big-time pale color! I ended up purchasing #3, Rose Beige, which is actually a nice pinkish-toned ivory, similar to Cover Girl's Natural Ivory.
If I spread this quickly with my fingertips, I have no problems blending. I don't wear too much of this at a time, since a heavy cover of this can end up looking masky. I just use enough to give light coverage. I also use my Clean & Clear blue powder under this, on my nose and forehead, and it helps with the spotty-pore problem I originally had when I first tried Facefinity (plus, it helps with shine). A light dusting of NYC translucent powder on top, and I am good to go! This does give a smooth look to my complexion and it hides the large pores on and around my nose well.
This does have a tendency to get funky-looking around my T-zone as the day wears on and my sebum level increases, but most of the time some blotting papers and/or a fresh application of powder helps. I would not say this is an all-day makeup, because after 8 hours or so it does start to show signs of breakdown. Also, a good oil-absorbing powder is a must if you have oily skin. Plus, it will rub off if you skin is oily enough. But, for some days and some situations, it is just what I need, so I am glad I gave this another shot! continued >>
Within one hour of application, my
face was shiny. An hour after that,
50% of the foundation was gone.
Great foundation, and it really does last all day long as it claims! It provides medium to full coverage, and goes on very smooth. I try many other foundations, but I always seem to come back to this one. It does not cause my acne-prone skin to break out at all, and it covers all exisiting blemishes completely.
Ok, first of all, this product has an awesome color range ( I can actually find a foundation for my PPP skin, honey nude?, that's not too pink, not too orange, and not too dark). That said, color is the only thing going for this. It goes on streaky (because it dries too quick to blend well), dries far more matte than I prefer, and doesn't cover anything adequately (and I'm just looking for a sheer-medium coverage to even my skintone). After 1/2 hour, it seeps into pores and accentuates tiny lines. And it does a disapperaing act after 2 hours (face-FINITY?). Save your money (which btw is more than a drugstore product should be anyway)

Well, they're certainly not liars! This does last all day. Unfortunately,it dried out my skin and looked awfully dry and cakey. If the formula were a bit more moisturizing I might buy it again. But for now I'll have to pass.
this foundation is ok... i mean there are much, much worse foundations on the market, but this one really does make you look like you're wearing a foundation..i cant think of how it does this, it just does.also, the colour range (in england anyway, i heard they hav different colours in america) is pretty poor. fair enough - it stays on a while, but it just doesnt smooth evenly and i found that the colour "golden" (which i bought) left me with a slight orange look...urgh... i spose with foundations you get what you pay for, and as you pay an average amount for this foundation, you get an average foundation.

I purchased #4 Pale Porcelain. I was very disappointed in the performance of this Max Factor product- hence the 1 lippie.
I am a PPP with sensitive combination skin. I have medium size pores on my nose and cheeks- this makeup looked okay upon initial application, then after 30mins to an hour it began sinking into my pores causing my skin to look blotchy and awful. I will not purchase again.
I might consider buying this again, though I didnt like it when it first came out. I would only consider buying it again only because I love the long-wearing formula. Though I am very light skinned, MF makes foundations that tend to run fairly light. I didn't like this as much because I found the formula hard to spread and maybe it was just due to getting the too light color. Since this came out two years ago, they have improved the formula; maybe I'll give it a try again.
This is my absolute HG of foundations.
I recently purchased MAC Studio Finish Matte, because my lemming told me higher-end/Department Store = better than drugstore -- boy, was I wrong. This is the best foundation I've ever used.
Normally foundations slide off my face in a few hours, this stays fairly put, looks uber-natural, blends flawlessly, has excellent coverage, and actually matches my skin tone -- no small feat, as most I find are too pink, too dark or too light.
I'm stocking up on a few shades of this to have for my winter skin, summer skin, and everything in between.
Love it!!
