WOW!!! I can't know for sure if it was this that made the difference or the combo of products I used last night but SOMETHING absolutely SAVED my triple processed hair!!!! I'm thinking it was either this as a pre-shampoo treatment or the Neutrogena Triple Moisture Mask I used after I shampooed this out...or maybe it was just the combo of the two!
The packaging is sooo tiny but I really didn't need much to cover my mid back length, baby fine but lots of it hair. Make sure to twist some of the excess water out of your hair before applying. I didn't towel dry first because the little bit of water left in my hair helped distribute it as I tried to finger comb it through from my scalp to my ends.
It's definitely pricey (16$) for sucha small bottle, but you really only need to use this once every week or every other week unless your hair is really FRIED like mine.

I had a really really reeeeeaaalllly bad color treating experience over the past week and a half...
I let a stylist in LA convince me that he could take my hair from naturally black to a lighter honey brown...
Well after two base lifts, several highlights, 3 toners and $400 later, my hair was a shade of warm copper that made me wanna gag. I came back three days later since he said my hair needed a break and he put MORE highlights in since in his opinion it was the only way to get out the red orange tones. In the end I ended up with a HUGE Halo on top of my head. Blonder on top and red red red in the middle with reddish orange ends. I was pretty mortified. When I left the salon he had me convinced that it would just be a work in progress. He had used Morracan Oil Shampoo, Condish and Oil before the blowdry so my hair felt ok but after my first wash three days later my hair felt like putty in my hands! And it looked evenmore orange! I left for Chicago on vacation a day later with the most horrid looking hair ever and found a wonderful Salon in Chicago thanks to Yelp! called Salon Blonde that completely fixed the color in one shot...completely worth the money for the color correction and it was waaaaay cheaper then the initial process. Now I have very very pretty light brown and honey colored highlights with an ashy brown base but my hair was FRYED!!!! Even after the Davines and Phyto treatment they gave my hair it still felt so so crispy. I came home thinking NOTHING would fix it since I went to Sephora on the trip, bought an OJON kit (which didn't do a thing) and even bought some Phytonectar oil hoping for a miracle. The Morracon Oil Deep Condish Treatment didn't even do much.
BUT, then I came home and went to Walgreens. I picked up this little gem along with the Neutrogena Triple Moisture Mask and VOILA! My hair felt almost exactly the way it did before I colored it!
I really think this gave it the protein it needed to feel normal again.
When I first put it on I almost started crying since my hair felt like straw, but I remembered that most protein treatments will make the hair feel quite stiff while the hair is soaking it up. I left it on a little longer then the suggested 1-2 minutes (probably 5), rinsed with warm water, shampooed with Kerastase Bain De Resistance and then put on the Neutrogena Triple. I could tell as soon as I rinsed the mask that my hair was nice and slippery! I could actually run my fingers through it wet again with out it feeling like glue! And when I blowdryed it felt like butter! I think for the next week or so I'm just going to do the same process and not blow dry my hair at all so the cuticle can calm down some more and the hair itself can get all the benefits of the protein it's getting. Once my hair is definitely back to normal then I'll cut back on using it since I don't want to overload it with protein which can definitely make it start feeling stiff if it doesn't need the protein.
Overall I would say ONLY use this product if your hair is really really fried by heat or bleaching/color treating. If you don't really need the protein then you probably won't get the result you want out of this. After all, if it ain't broke then don't fix it ;)

i absolutely love this product and have been using it for years. ive done alot of bleaching, coloring, flat ironing and all those bad things to my hair over the years and this has been the only product that really nurses it back to health. when paired with humectress, it really does the job. it helps stop breakage, especially if its really bad and puts the protein back in your hair. when your hair feels hard when u put it on, that means its strengthening and its working. i would recommend this to everyone!

love this we use this in the salon where i work. i have seen many peoples damaged hair fixed by this and people always comment how great their hair has been when they come back. it also saved my own very brittle/ over straightend hair not nearly so much breakage now. its very sticky and i dont really like the smell. your hair wont feel any softer once you have rinsed it you have to condition after.

This stuff is really amazing. The first time I used it I couldn't believe the change in my hair's texture - as soon as I put it on my hair it went from coarse to feeling really sleek and completely without tangles. I use it as instructed and it really makes a difference - my thick hair is less frizzy and a lot more shiny. Just wish the bottle was bigger!

My hair is a little weak and thin from playing around with extensions (which broke the ends of my hair).
To get my hair back into the good spanish hair i have i been using CHI thickening kit and decided to try this stuff out with it.
The major difference is that my hair has more moisture without being weighed down! My hair is bouncy and looks super healthy with shine! I am impressed!
I would have given this product a 5 if i didnt have to re shampoo and then condition after treatment. (too many steps) but totally worth it.
This is not a deep moisture mask which i was looking for BUT it does what i thought a mask would do so I am pleased. This is more of a pre treatment like a hot oil treatment but more convenient because you dont have to heat.
I am NOT using the the recomended shampoos and conditioner with this product so i am not sure if the result would even be better.
Chi kit is stimulating my hair to grow fast and look thicker BUT the nexxus emergencee adds that gorgeous healthy shine with bounce!

This is an excellent product that really helps damaged hair and it can save some manes from a collapse.
In my experience, this was too much for my hair. I highlight my hair every 4 months or so and is a little damaged from bleach but I feel like this product addresses REALLY damaged hair.
It dried out my hair even though I deep conditioned with Terax Crema for an hour. I think this is because I really didnt need that much protein.
I will stick with my Joico K-pak reconstructor instead of this just cause it works better for my hair type and condition.
Overall, I think this is a great product and it might work better for thick hair.
So if your hair isnt really damaged, stay away from this and use a lighter protein treatment.

For reference, my hair is down my waist long, highlighted, dry at the ends, slightly wavy and fine.

Awesome, awesome stuff indeed!I totally forgot about this product.I am awful to my hair.I have very, very long, thick, curly hair, & I do everything bad to it-flat-iron more than I should, color it...the works.Recently, I've noticed that my fave products haven't been working, my hair has been dry, lifeless, tons of split ends.Just-gross.

So, I pull Nexxus Emergencee out, & after one use, my hair is back to life :-) I realize now that I need to do protein treatments again, lol.My hair is silky, shiny, bouncy again, easy to style...it looks like I have no split ends now!I know nothing gets rid of them, but it appears to be gone now?I need to do Aphogee next week, then I'll maintain with Emergencee weekly.Great stuff.

Do not mistake this for a conditioning treatment, or you *will* be let-down.You need to use a very moisturizing shampoo & conditioner with this treatment! If you have hair troubles, please get this. It's worth every penny-like CPR for the hair :-)

So good! but it's just a little too expensive for me...15 dollars for a tiny bottle is steep. But I used it last night and this morning my hair feels the same way it did before I dyed it a million times! At first it felt kind of crusty and weird, but after I slept and woke up it felt so much better. I wore a silk cap to bed as well to keep it from tangling.

The true test of this is what it does for relaxed hair b/c really thats the most damaging hair process anyone can have.

Well I heard this raved about on longhaircareforum.com by some members with lovely hair that seemed to be of the same texture and type as my own.

The texture is clear and sticky and almost identical to that of Keracare Suyper Reconstructor which ive also used in the past. The two seem to work much the same and i didnt like either. I put a lot in my hair and sat under a hooded dryer w/o a cap b/c i heard this is done in lot of dominican salons and maximizes the effects. I then followed with a moisturizing conditioner (kerastase masquintense). for 30 minutes.

Hair felt no different upon rinse out and i think this is bc i need a harder protein- a la aphogee two step or duo tex- both of which have worked much better for me.

For a better protein try duo tex. Ive been around the block trying all sorts of expensive proteins and would have to say this cheap beauty supply staple has really been the best of the whole bunch. Its the easiest to use and works the best.

It has a kind of conditioning quality to it. Makes the hair harder but doesnt dry it out. Only left on 10 minutes it works. No hair dryer required and hair does feel stronger/harder after use but not too hard to work with.

This stuff is seriously amazing. Bit of background: I have dry, wavy/curly, shoulder-length hair, and I've just moved out of a house that had atrocious well water. I also color my hair. It's been really dull, frizzy and damaged for a while, so I read reviews for this and figured I'd try it out. Here's exactly how I used it:

First, I shampooed with my L'Oreal Everpure Moisturizing Shampoo. Then I put in about a quarter-sized amount of Emergencee in my hair and left it in for approximately 2 minutes, then rinsed with lukewarm water, as per the directions. Then I followed with a ton of L'Oreal Everpure Moisturizing Conditioner mixed with a decent amount of Paul Mitchell's Tea Tree Hair and Scalp Treatment (HIGHLY recommend), left on for about 5 minutes. Rinsed and blow-dried, and was completely amazed with the results.

It wasn't until I straightened my hair that I saw just how markedly improved my hair is as a result of using Emergencee. It's a lot shinier, and it feels like silk, so I can't stop touching it. I can't wait to see what happens with continued use, since the results are so drastic after only one application. Will definitely repurchase!
