This dident do anything for me, i still have flaky skin even after wearing this layer by layer, its kind of oily and sits on your skin and i think it causes more oil to build up. Its very expensive for the results it delivers.
I have been using this moisturizer for years. It was recommended by my dermatologist when I was prescribed retin-a.I never had any problems with this and it will always be my go to moisturizer. Its light weight, non greasy, non sticky, and actually pretty hydrating. My skin is combination but I have allot of flakey dry spots from the retin-a & this does not totally smooth out the patches and make me flake free, but Ive never come across a moisturizer that has.I understand that with retin-a being dry comes with it.My skin is also sensitive and this does not irritate it.Never caused any burning or stinging. Its very gentle. So if your looking for miracles this isn't for you but, if you want a simple gentle moisturizer I would highly recommend.

I used this as a body lotion. Long story short, I have a big ol' bottle of cetaphil that I don't know what to do with. I put this on and while I could tell it was very moisturizing it was also very sticky. Even hours later it left a tacky feeling on my skin. I bought this because it said it was non-comodogenic and I'm prone to body acne as well as having extremely sensitive skin. This broke me out like no other. I had rashes, bumps and pimples in places I've never had them before--my forearms, the inside of my elbow, my hip, my knees, my calf. So for now I'm using it on my feet (the only part of my body this stuff didn't hate) while I wait for these rashes to go away :\

I have sensitive, acne-prone, combination skin. Cetaphil is a fall-back product for me. If my skin is completely parched, flaky, and irritated, Cetaphil (lotion or cream) is pretty much the only thing that will restore it to a soft, smooth, calm state. Even my pure facial oils can't do that. There's something about the formula that allows it to penetrate skin more easily.
This isn't something I can use on a daily basis. I've found climate tends to make a difference in that regard. In drier climes (e.g. LA), Cetaphil is the perfect daily moisturizer for me. My skin drinks it right up. I get no greasiness later in the day or breakouts or any other problems. But Cetaphil tends to be too heavy for me in more humid places (e.g. the Northeast). So I restrict it to cold, dry months.
But that's just me. This may not be heavy enough for truly dry skin. And just because some people with sensitive skin can rely on Cetaphil doesn't mean it'll work for all sensitive types. Always buy a small size and do a patch test on an inconspicuous area first.
Overall, this isn't a must-have item for me. But it's kind of comforting to know that this product exists, is reliable, affordable, and very easily available.

I really wanted to like this product but I'm kind of on the fence about it...
PROS:
- Little goes a long way
- Soothes my irritated skin
- Small ingredient list
- Comes in good variety of sized bottles
CONS:
- NOT oil-free! Turns my face into an oil-slick after 3-4 hours!
- Not truly moisturising enough for wintertime (I might try using this in spring/summer)
- Clogs my pores :'(
^This lotion claims to be non-comedogenic so I don't understand why it's clogging my pores...
While I had inflamed acne, I was using a lot of 'acne-fighters'(benzyl peroxide, salicylic acid). But my acne got worst and it felt itchy and hurt, so I stopped using the 'acne-fighter's' and used this to calm my skin, and my acne went down dramatically. I know this is meant for the body, but I love it for my face - it doen't make me break out and it's great for my sensitive skin. I also use it on my body and it's great, I love that it's scent free so nobody chokes when they're around me(your chosen perfume dominate). I put A LOT of it on, and yes it can get shiny, then after 20 or so minutes I take a clean towel and lightly rub the excess off. It's not conventional, but it works!!! My skin looks soft, subtle, and healthy!

I'm kind of baffled by some of these reviews.."made me break out like crazy" etc, etc. Umm..WHY are you using this on your face?? Lol, to me it's a BODY lotion and I wouldn't even think of putting this on my face. I use products meant for the face for that purpose (Olay Regenerist is my current fave, but that's another review ;)
Anyways, what I like about this lotion is that unlike many out there, it does not have a sickening, overpowering scent. In fact, it smells like nothing which is great IMO. I find the heavily scented lotions really irritate my sensitive skin causing rashes, bumps etc. this lotion causes no such issues for my skin.
I use it after showering and it sinks in nicely and leaves my skin soft and comfortable. I will definitely re-purchase.
Although this moisturizer does feel a bit greasy & thick.. it has worked wonders for my flaky patches (thank you retin-a!).

This is the BEST moisturising lotion i have EVER used. I have dry skin and in the winter it gets much much worse!! I have used so many different types of creams and moistuisers (some very expensive ones) but nothing worked on my skin like Cetaphil did :-D I started using this last winter and haven't stopped using it since because it leaves my skin feeling hydrated and I no longer have rough, flakey, tight skin. It has even gotten rid of fine dehydration lines i had. I wish I had known about this stuff years ago. It's a miracle cream and I don't think there's anything better out there for my skin. My makeup looks so much better on my skin when I've moistuised with Cetaphil. I highly recomment this stuff to anyone with dry skin but I can imagine if you have oily skin it'd make you break out!! Hope more people give this a go and love it as much as I do :-D oh and the cleanser is a-maz-ing too!!
I never thought I would like a lotion that was so cheap and sold in a drugstore. This is my miracle moisturizer. I bought it on whim when I was at Walgreens and have been using for about 2 weeks now. It is the ONLY moisturizer that doesn't make me break out. I've tried using other ones, but within 2 days of using them I get a couple of pimples. I use this three times a day. I take a shower in the morning and the afternoon after I workout because I do it outside and it's super hot out and I get all sweaty.
I use this in conjunction with the Normal to Oily Skin Cleanser. I use about a little more than pea size during the day and about 3 peas at night. During the day it does sometimes leave my skin a little oily, but I have no problem with that because it's easy to fix and my skin is naturally quite oily. I would rather have the oil than the acne that I get form other products.
I am also on prescription Bactrim DS from my Dermatologist for acne, so that may be changing the results a little bit for this, but I think it would also be great even if I wasn't on an anti-acne medication.
I also use this all over my body and it has REALLY helped my dry skin on my chest and back. I used to have SUPER bad acne there 5 months ago when I went off an acne medication, and it was terrible. I had to use 10% benzoyl peroxide nightly and my skin was so dry it felt like touching leather. When I started to use this it even helped LESSEN my body acne and my skin is super soft all the time now.
I have never been happier about a moisturizer and will continue to use this for a very long time!
