I love this soft matte lip cream. I have the shade in Milan, and I'm planning to buy Antwerp and Istanbul, and maybe Tokyo. It's so soft and smooth, and the name 'soft matte lip cream' is just so enticing.
I had a little bit of problem with the color though, yes, you get the same color in the wand as the color of the bottle. However when I applied it on my lips, it seemed darker. Yeah, I know, it's my lips.
The coverage is great, although for me, I need a few extra strokes for it to be completely covered.
It lasts for about 3-4 hours without eating or drinking. Another complaint is the look after you drink with it. My lips looked blotchy, compared to creamy lipsticks which fade evenly. With this, the lines where you drank with straw for example will be really visible. So I don't recommend wearing this if you're eating out with someone. lol
And another piece of advice, after drinking or when you notice it fading, don't reapply unless you completely remove the first application first. If you do, the first layer will seem obvious and it'll look patchy. At least that's what happened to me.
I got the shade Stockholm and I absolutely love the color. However I hate the consistency and drying effect of this product. Before using it I exfoliated my lips with my fresh sugar lip scrub AND my lush sweet lips scrub. Then I applied rosebud salve and jack black lip balm. Lined my lips and applied the soft matte lip cream. An hour later my lips looked chapped and dry. It somehow dries out the lips and accentuates cracks. I put loads of balm on top and the problem went away. If you want to use it make sure you put tons of lip balm underneath and over it.
I love this product. I layer it over the lipstick I am going to wear for the day and it makes the color last so much longer. Give it a minute or so to dry and it is perfect. It isn't over drying but it might feel a bit dry if you do not moisturize before applying. I do not mind the dry factor though, I do like it. I love the colors Tokyo and Milan :)
Absolutely great product. I can't believe it's a DS product, it's amazing. Long lasting, non drying, great color selection, actually makes my lips feel softer!! And it's matte, which makes this just about one of a kind! I've heard the U.K. brand Collection 2000 has a very similar product that Lisa Eldridge raves about in one of her vidz, that's why i said 'just about' one of a kind. There is no store near me that carries NYX, so I order mine off of nonpareil.com, my order was shipped the day after I ordered, and the shipping was free becuz I ordered over $25 I believe. I only wish I would've gotten more colors!! I have Amsterdam and Milan. Both fabulous. However, I did expect a matte lip cream to have better staying power since it's matte, and it's not very long lasting, hence the 4 lippies. However, I still highly recommend!!
Great product! Applies nicely, has a great smell, and you can't beat the price! ($4.50 online) Doesn't last a really long time, which is perfect if you only need some colour for a little while, but it does leave a bit of a stain so you're not completely left without colour when it fades/wears off.
Only comes in eleven colours at the moment, but I imagine they'll launch some new colours soon.
The colours are not exactly true to the packaging, so I recommend checking out blogs with swatches just to be sure you know what you're getting.

Great formula, not drying at all for me. I took one lippie off for the scent though. They smell strongly of burnt butterscotch. To be fair, the smell dissipates after a minute or so. For this price (I got it for $5), I would buy again.
I can see why for many people, this formula is drying and/or overexposes the cracks on the lips. YOUR LIPS MUST BE EXFOLIATED, SMOOTH, AND MOISTURIZED BEFORE USE! As it is a mattifying formula, of course it will cause dryness on the lips to appear 10 times worse. If you are the type to take good care of your lips, wearing lip balm regularly and exfoliating regularly, this product will be no problem in this regard. The matte cream literally does go on like a very soft, smooth cream, and smells sweet like cake or some other dessert. It feels very soft and light on the lips to the point where I forget it's there, like a mousse, and I LOVE this. By the time it dries, of course it's matte, so it's not necessarily going to feel slick like a gloss or lipstick, but does manage to maintain that smooth feel. However, I ALWAYS use this over a lip balm, and this helps it to not sink into the lines in my lips or dry out too much. Even when matte, it does not turn powdery or dry thanks to that lip balm. I can see how over-application would make it dry to a cracking finish, so make sure to apply only enough to cover the lips evenly. Applying too little, on the other hand, might make it look streaky when dry, so as long as you can apply it evenly, you're good. I would say the lasting power is the same as any other average lip product, and would depend on what you're doing (with lots of eating, talking, etc. it will wear down faster...). A simple reapplication, which many women don't mind doing with other lip products, is all that's necessary, though it may be a good idea to wipe off what's already there and apply from scratch over balm. I own this product in the color London, which is a bit more on the brown side than I thought it would be for a nude lip (exactly the same color as the Mega Shine gloss in Tanned and pretty close to the Black Label lipstick in Beige). Keep in mind, though, that dries to a bit lighter tone than when wet, so in the end, this works out nicely for a nice matte, nude lip. This color is definitely on the warm side, so those with fair skin and light lips will find this pretty dark... Stockholm may be a better option. Price is cheap, so you won't feel so bad to try this and find it doesn't work out for you. A very different yet wonderful product.

Have four of these and I LOVE them. The consistency is really creamy and the texture is so soft. I love the strong vanilla scent (reminds me of the Maybelline lipsticks) but it has no taste so it doesn't make me want to lick the color off my lips.
The color selection is just amazing, my favorite is the bright hot pink one (Addis Ababa) and I love the fact there's also a red among them (Monte Carlo). I can't stand lip stains because they dry out my lips but this doesn't. I usually put something over it but it wouldn't be necessary. The staying power is quite good. They are opaque in one coat but I guess it is possible to layer it and make the color pop even more.
By the way, these are the same (I mean..completely the same, the packaging, scent, texture are identical) as the Lip creams by the german cosmetic brand Manhattan, except the NYX ones are a bit cheaper and have a wider selection of colors.
I purchased these in two shades,"Monte Carlo" and "Stockholm", at Ulta. I really love the texture of these lip creams. They're not waxy like lipstick nor sticky like gloss. I also like the fact that the colors are matte because I don't like too much crazy gloss shine on my lips. "Stockholm" looks a pinkish-nude on me, it'll probably be a everyday neutral for me. "Monte Carlo" is great red for 50's/pin-up looks which I love. The staying power for these were quite good to me; a good couple of hours, longer than I thought they would last and I just applied the lip cream over my chapstick. They are a little drying but I didn't mind it so much. Overall, I loved this product, can't wait to pick up some more colors!

These things do not last long at all. After 15 mins the color is gone. Yes they are soft and the colors are great. I love tokyo but the staying power is crap to me. I have applied to bare lips, fully lined lips, lip primers and over chapstick. Nothing makes these things stay. I wanted to love these so bad but i cant say they delivered for me. Not one of nyx's better products. Sorry.
