This is a really nice mascara I started using when Define-a-lash Volume was discontinued. I find that it stands up against or performs even better than some department store mascaras (Bobbi Brown, Clinque, Dior, Lancome) especially when you consider the price. Best of all it builds volume without clumping. The wand is a soft rubber so you can press into upper lash line with no pain and it's tapered well so I can get in the corners very easily. The trouble I have with some mascara wands is that they are so large (Cover Girl Lashblast) and dense I end up not getting enough product on my lashes. The only cons are I find that when the tube is new it can be a little wet and takes a few uses to look its very best.
Made my eyelashes look decent - but within a few hours I had flakes galore on my cheeks.
However, I must say the worst part about this mascara has to be the smell... it is the weirdest smell.. and I cannot stand it.. even after a few hours I can still smell my mascara, which is bizarre.
Haaaaate it.

I actually like this product. I ended up buying it on an accident. I was trying to buy a cover girl mascara (I can't remember the name) and the packaging is a similar color to this. I was in a hurry so I picked up this one by a mistake. I didn't realize till I got home, but I decided to try it out. I like how the applicator is small, then it gets bigger, then smaller. I wouldn't buy it again because I don't use it that often. But it's still pretty good.
I gave this a 3 because it's middle of the road. I don't know what i expected. Wait, yes I do! I was expecting thicker lashes. I don't ever use this alone. I use another mascara and then this one and it's numerous coats. Although, that's always been my routine with mascaras. I'll keep searching for that "perfect" mascara. This isn't the worst. this isn't the best. It's decent. Don't expect miracles. :) I probably won't repurchase this. I am certain there are much better DS mascaras out there.
I dont like this mascara. The brush is okay, reminds me of CG lashblast. But yuck, the formula sucks. It does nothing for my lashes. I have short, straight lashes. This gives me flaky, clumpy, straight spider lashes. Not a great look. The lashes become so brittle and dry.
The good thing is that this doesnt flake.
Will not repurchase
Ok so, I've never been a big fan of mascaras. The main reason is that I've been lazy to apply only to scrub it off at the end of the day or after a few hours. I've used a total of 3 or 4 mascaras. My recent favourite was Full n Soft but, I decided to stray towards the beautiful coral packaging of the One by One mascara. I've also tried to curl my lashes before applying mascara, but when no mascara would hold the curl I gave up hope and went back to my lazy ways. With THIS mascara it's a whole new situation. This mascara (I bought Blackest Black) is very black and holds a curl ALL day. Because of the plastic brush with its many bristles it really does and amazing job of combing out every eyelash and coating them individually and adding quite a bit of length and volume. I apply approximately 3 coats. So far, I had this for a month. I also find that sometimes the tips of my eyelashes have less mascara 5 hours after wearing BUT I'm not complaining because I don't really mind reapplying the tips. Also, after a long period of time it can flake a little (but, that's just me being lazy and not taking it off at the end of the day...shh). I use coconut oil to remove it. It's an amazing mascara! A must try for only $7-8CAD.

This is a passable mascara. It holds curl, gives volume and some length, and is very black. On the other hand, it flakes like crazy. That's really its only flaw. The waterproof version is much better and I would definitely recommend it.
I loved this mascara when I first put it on, the brush is very "spiky". I got it on sale for less than $5 so I was really happy; however it smeared and flaked after a couple of hours.
This mascara is the best drug store mascara I've ever tried. I ran a half marathon wearing it, and it stayed on and did not smudge one bit!
This is my favorite mascara right now :D It gives me a great amount of natural definition and separation. It also gave me way more length than my Covergirl Lashblast length ever did which was a really nice surprise. I usually only use mascaras with the rubber brush, which is one of the reason why I love this mascara so much!! I have it a 4 out of a 5 because it isn't that great at holding a curl...It tends to droop..which is okay because I tend to touch my lashes alot during the day and push them up more. I might try the waterproof version soon since I've read that it is just like this one but it actually holds a curl :D But I'm a little bit hesitant since I've never actually used a waterproof mascara before...I'm alittle scared that it'll be hard to get off. But the non waterproof version is great :D Which is surprising since I have never liked maybelline mascaras. So if you are looking for some definition with a boost of length, this is a good product for you. The amount of volume it gives is pretty average, though, and it is more of a natural-looking mascara. :)
