Looking at other reviews makes me wonder if I maybe got a damaged product. This mascara was too liquid. It takes about a minute to dry and it is very difficult to work with. At the end of a 4 coat application I get length but no volume or curl. This mascara was about $18 in Canada, and although cheap for MAC, I think you can get better mascaras for the same price.
I have been on a long hunt for the perfect mascara. I really like the dramatic look and love mascaras with alot of black pigment. I usually go for the ones with Extreme Black, etc. This mascara is exactly what I have been looking for. I don't use the pink natural wand. I only use the purple, dramatic one. The pink one is good for separating after you have already put most of it on. I would definitely repurchase. I am in love!
HG. ... HG. I've found it, my HG mascara. This mascara brings my short, thin, barely there Asian eyelashes to life. I've tried them all ladies, you know how it is, that's why you're reading this review! But please, just give this a try. Haute for work. Naughty for night. Just believe me, this will give thickness, length, and the curl will STAY until you remove the mascara. I mean it. This lasts after a full day at work, then an hour of cardio kickboxing. Talk about sweating like crazy - and it's always perfect afterwords. :)
This had so much potential but didn't quite make it. On its own, this mascara is very hard to use...I find the haute wand way too flimsy and makes lashes look sparse, while the naughty side just gobs on the mascara. If I use the naughty side first, and then the haute side to comb through, it is ok but not amazing (lashes look bold but sparse). If I use the naughty side first and then maybeline one by one over top, the result IS amazing (just a bummer that I have to use another product on top to get the 5-star result). I will probably continue to buy this (along with maybeline one by one!) because it is still cheaper than lancome/dior, etc, however will still keep searching for a mascara that does it all on its own. Wish they offered this formula with just a regular brush and knocked off the $4 premium they added for the "two brushes".
This product does a really good job of lengthening my eyelashes and making them stand out. The difference is noticeable when i do use it and it doen't run. I also like the two options for application so its easyr to do the bottom lashes with only the pink cover so u don't make a mess. It is easy to get too much product on the brush though so u have to be careful when applying. I bought a second one just to make sure i always have this in stock. Will keep repurchasing.
This was my first MAC product, and I bought Haute&Naughty because of the good reviews.
Not good at all!
The "dramatic" brush is so watery, clumpy, and gets way to much product. My lashes turn out all clumpy.
The natural brush has nothing special to it. It would be the same to a dirt cheap drugstore mascara.
Also the formula takes a long time to dry on lashes. continued >>
Favorite mascara. I love how it has 2 different wands for 2 different effects. It is non clumpy, thin, and doesn't weigh my lashes down. I LOVE THIS.
okay, i am a mascara hoor, i have tried a ton of different products. my everyday look with mascara is pretty dramatic as my eyelashes are pretty invisible so i really pile that ish on. i really wanted to like this product, but i have had the worst luck with department store mascaras. the "volume" portion of the mascara wand makes my eyelashes clumpy and goopy; the formula of the mascara is way too wet. the "everyday" portion of the wand barely has enough product on it to coat my lashes even once. it takes FOREVER for me to achieve a natural everyday mascara look with this mascara and if i want dramatic lashes i have to pick them apart with a safety pin. then, the mascara migrates and gives me raccoon eyes. it's just pretty bad for me all around. back to ds mascaras for me.
This product is okay, I like the fact that with the same brush, you can get two different effects, but really, I didn't see the difference between both. It's an okay mascara.
I first thought Haute and Naughty was kinda gimmicky.. but I bought in on a whim and I loved it! My usual mascara is the Studio Fix Lash.. which I returned to after my tube of this finished, but it did a good job while I had it. No clumps, and I used mostly the 'day' brush for work, and my lashes were seperated, defined and long. The second brush did wonders with making my lashes look thick and voluminous. After writing this review, I think I may just go pick up another tube to keep just in case!
