ever since i began to notice the Simple brand's products arriving at my local grocery store and Walgreen's, i've been interested in trying the brand. Since i have used Cerave Foaming Face Cleanser (excellent, HG product in it's own right) for a few years now, i decided to try a new cleanser, and went with this one. it's in a standard tube, which i don't really like, would much prefer a pump, but oh well. this review is hasty because i used the cleanser for the first time tonight and i usually wait atleast a few weeks after using a product to review it, but this cleanser seems really nice. it's made for sensitive skin, so it doesn't have any dyes, fragrances, or harsh detergents, plus it has B5 vitamins that claim to soften your skin. the face wash is very concentrated, so when i used the amount i usually use of other products, it took a while to rinse away all the suds, but the cleanser left my face feeling dewy, soft, and not at all tight. i also used it with my Clarisonic Mia and it worked perfectly with that as well. I will continue using, and update if anything changes. here is a link to Simple's website for you to check out their products:

*edit: i've continued using this cleanser and still feel the same about it. it cleanses thoroughly w/o stripping skin and leaves your face feeling nice and soft instead of parched and begging for moisturizer. a great cleanser at a great price, just remember, you only need a small amount of the product to wash your face.

Overall I'm very happy with this face wash and will buy again. It works best for me if used at the sink (not in shower) applied with fingers and washed off with a cloth to get the exfoliation I need.

Pros:
1. It's the first was in a very long time that cleans my skin when I've been out working in the dust all day and I'm grimy, yet it doesn't cut it up with exfoliating beads or dry me out.
2. Even though a pump would be easier, the lid fits tight and since I travel a lot I like bottles without a pump. It's a good size to fit in a bathroom bag yet I don't run out quickly.
3. Price is fair for a wash I actually like and will use the whole bottle. What good is a cheap wash if you hate it and through it away anyway?

Cons:
1. You do need to tip the bottle cap side up a second before you open it or it will squirt out from gravity and make a mess.
2. As said, it can be kind of slimy BUT if you just use a little bit (baby Lima bean size) then it lathers up well and rinses off just fine. It's only hard to rinse off if you use too much. Plus this helps the product to last longer anyway.

A few months ago I burned my nose (the retinal in neutrogena Healthy skin) and I have to use a wash cloth to get the peeling skin off with this wash, finger washing is not enough exfoliation (it is on the rest of my face though). This was is the only one gentle enough I've tried that doesn't make the nose hurt. Other than this wash the only product I can put on my nose that doesn't sting is pure aloe 4-5 times a day.

This is in my opinion better than expensive washes I have tried and much easier to get my hands on (riteaid, walmart, target). I don't use this every day, only when especially grimy. You only need a pea size! Add water and it suds right up. Probably will use this primarily in summer months and stick to something even more gentle for harsh winter months. The only con is the excitement factor, there are no frills to this at all. No fun scent, just a clear basic gel that does what it's supposed to. That being said I get bored easily so we'll see if I actually go to buy this again. LOL.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!! Finally, a cleanser that is strong enough to cut the oil on my face, yet gentle enough that it doesn't leave me "tight" feeling. Just a dime sized amount lathers up so nicely! Definitely HG status!

I purchased this cleanser yesterday at CVS for $9. I've used it twice and so far so good. It's gentle and feels nice on my sensitive skin. It seemed to remove the make-up I was wearing when I washed my face last night, but I don't wear much make-up on my face (just powder) so I don't know if it would wash foundation and powder off as easily. There's no overwhelming scent. There are no perfumes or dyes and it's soap-free so it's excellent for sensitive skin. There is no sodium laureth sulfate (used in many facial cleansers and soaps, as well as laundry detergent! >.<) which can strip skin of its natural oils and leave it dry and irritated.

Update: I still enjoy the way this product feels when it lathers on my skin, but after I rinse it off it leaves my face feeling dry and tight. It's a shame. I really wanted to like this. :( continued >>

I continually buy this face wash in its travel size for holidays and the like instead of taking my Clinique face bar with me. Its a good little face wash that up to now, doesnt break me out on the rare occasions that i use it!

I found some small tubes of this on clearance at Target for .99, and of course had to try it at that price. I have very sensitive skin, and try to stick to simple products (I've been washing my face with only a tea tree oil bar soap for months). Unfortunately, it broke me out like crazy and left red patches on my face, so I won't be repurchasing. But I gave it three stars because my husband loves it, and it's made his skin look great!

I ordered a Swiffer Starter Kit online and the good folks at Walmart included not a sample, but full-size containers of this Simple facial wash gel and Replenishing Rich Moisturizer... WTH??... but anyway-- it's great! I've been using it for the past 2 weeks and it truly is totally gentle and leaves my skin soft and cleansed and feeling wonderful. It's exciting to think that there is a cleanser at this price point that is THIS quality and good. I saw other reviewers have had problems with the tube leaking but so far no problem with mine. I will totally repurchase!

I received a free sample of this in the mail. It was pretty large for a sample (1.7 oz) and I have been using it for about three weeks. I was pretty happy with it, I would wash my face with it twice to make sure it got everything off, it made my skin feel really soft after using it.

However, last night I finally found my toner and used it after washing my face. I was surprised to see that the pad I used to wipe my face with the toner was COVERED with makeup.

I guess if you need a really mild cleanser it would be perfect, but for me I need something that will remove my makeup in one or two washes.

I bought this because of the ads and the ingredient list looked good. Tried it and LOVED it. It never made my skin tight, felt calming, skin tone improved. I thought I found my HG. I was close to the end of the bottle.....then it happened. My skin started getting very irritated, but only around the top part of my eyes and eyebrow---scaley, rough and a little painful. I thought that it just may be too much for that area so I used some oil instead to cleanse the eye area. No luck. I had bought the eye cream from Simple as well (but later) and now the under part of my eyes is starting to get patchy and scaley. Just tonight I noticed a patchy area on my cheek. I guess there is something in this that doesn't agree with me which really sucks because my skin was looking so good! Anyone else have a similar problem? *****UPDATE****** It wasn't this that caused the irritation, I don't believe. I stopped using it and a specific foundation. Not sure what it was, but I returned to this wash again and am ok for now. Will update again if I find that this is definitely the culprit. ****UPDATE*** 6/6/12 As much as I like this and as inexpensive as it is....I think this is causing the irritation, as it came back after I stopped the foundation. My skin is very sensitive so I'm sure it's ok for a lot of gals.*****UPDATE...it was this product as well as another I was using. So I won't be buying again...just not kind to my skin.
