LOVE this blush so much!! The bronzer isn't the best but the blush side is great. Adds nice color and highlight. The case is amazing too! Has a great mirror which I've noticed most products don't anymore. All in all this gives a flattering glow to any completion!
I was interested in this product, because I lost my Nars Orgasm and many people list this product as a dupe. It's NOT a dupe for Nars, but I think this product is damn impressive for $3.
I'm NC20 and I love the color of both the blush and bronzer on my skin. The blush pulls warm on me (warmer than Nars Orgasm, but less glittery and shiny). It really brightens up my whole complexion, but in a subtle way. These colors both look a little chalky in the pan, but go on smooth without any chalkiness, even on my dry skin. The lasting power is average.
I love the Nars copycat packaging. It's a nice sleek, space-saving compact with a big mirror. And unlike Nars, the outside is smooth plastic rather than the rubberized plastic, so the packaging doesn't get dirty and smudged.
Overall I love it. At $3, there's not much to complain about! I think it would work best for neutral and warm skin tones from fair to tan.
I'd do cartwheels if I could. This is the first bronzer that hasn't oxidized on me! I could sing! Actually, I did sing...which I guess just shows how great this little duo is.
First off, I don't use the blush. It looks like something Lady Gaga would wear. Seriously, it's a pink glitter bomb. I'm all for some shimmer, but that's a little much.
But the bronzer, oh baby, it's fabulous. I don't use it for contouring (it's gotta be matte for contouring because I'm difficult) but it's great for adding some much needed color to a pale face. And if you didn't catch me the first hundred times...it doesn't oxidize! Oh yes! Heavenly orange-less bronzer, we meet at last.
Add to the fact that your wallet won't hate you as it is a mere $3 and the packaging is sleek and expensive-looking, I don't know what more I could ask for. I love that it comes in such a nice little container, since I'm a student with my main means of makeup purchasing coming from a part-time minimum wage job, the more high end it looks, the better. I guess the only way it could top everything else is if it cured my acne and sung a harmony, but until I find a bronzer that can do that, this is my go to.
I ADORE this, but only for the bronzer. I'll never use the blush, it's not pigmented enough. But the way I look at it, I'd be giddy if I found just a bronzer for 3 dollars, so it's easy to justify wasting the blush.
I've heard a lot of complaints about the shimmer, but I haven't noticed a problem on me. The day someone confuses me with a Cullen, I might have to reevaluate... But let's be honest, I probably won't. With shimmery face products, I've found that if you lightly dust over it with some mattifying powder, it seriously subdues the shimmer.
Anyway, I'll definitely repurchase. I have a hard time finding a contour color that compliments my coloring and looks natural, but this is it!
I don't understand why anyone would like this product. It's literally a compact full of glitter. The colors are really nice which makes me more upset that the glitter ruined it. But then again it was only $3 so I can't be too upset. I do love e.l.f products but this one was just not their best.
Bought this after seeing a Beauty Broadcast comparing this to Nars Leguna/Orgasm duo. 1) it's $3, 2) I am a sucker for cheap dupes, 3) I am testing out peachy tones on my NW20 skin ... So into my Target cart it went
- Does not oxidize
- Shades are pretty
- Contours well
- Peach/pink blush is flattering
- ELF studio is great packaging for the price
- Wish Bronzer was matte
- Blush is just a little too shimmer/glitter - requires a light hand
BEST APPLICATION FOR ME:
- Apply Smashbox BB Cream all over - light
- Apply NYX concealer under eyes and on spots - beige
- Apply Tarte gel blush in Flush
- Set the whole thing with CoverGirl TrueBlend #2
- Grab my Elf Studio blush brush - do a light contour with the Bronzer - under cheekbones, down sides of nose, jaw lines, etc
- Lightly using same brush apply blush to apples of cheeks sweeping to temple
- Apply a very light dusting of elf hd powder
- Grab my elf kabuki brush (clean) and blend, blend, blend
Awful. Big old chunks of glitter in both the blush and the bronzer, not at all a subtle shimmer like I was hoping.
Honestly I am not a big fan of glitter and really don't believe it belongs on the cheeks, so this is an absolute no-no for me. I hated it! The bronzer looks like glittery dirt and does not blend well at all, and the blush just gives these ugly clumps of glitter with no colour pay-off.
I really want to like products from elf because of the low prices and no animal testing, but the majority of the products that I have tried from them so far have been utter failures in my eyes. :(
Saw this at Winners for $7CAD. I have read decent things about the ELF blushes and thought I'd give it a go. Both the blush and bronzer are decently pigmented. The blush is a peachy tone with shimmer, and the bronzer actually applies bronzy, not orange, but again with shimmer. The packaging is nice, it is sturdy and similar to the NARS duo sets. I'm not crazy over the product, but I'm glad I picked it up. I love trying new lines and new shades out, especially when it's for a good price.
i have had this duo for so long now and i havent hit pan yet cuz i dont use it as often...however it is pretty darn good....both the blush and bronzer are very pigmented but im not the kind that likes very shimery face products and thats why i only use it once in a while
I don't get the hype of this product. It's full of shimmer! First time I tried this, I used the blush and my boyfriend noticed "why is there glitter on your face?!"... Not good, definitely not good.
Both the blush and the bronzer have shimmer in, and no it is not fine, it is very much noticeable goldeny particles. If you don't mind that, then you might like this - the shades themselves are nice and blend easily The blush is a peachy pink (more pink on me), and the bronzer is not orange-looking and can work well on fair skins if you are light handed and blend well.
