This was the first highlighter I've ever bought. I really liked it for a while, thought it was settle and really subtle but after owning Mac Lightscapade and The Balm Mary Lou Manizer I find it so glittery !! I wear it only at night time now, where I went a more intense look but I just don't like the finish for day time anymore.
Hands down, my HG highlighter. i use this literally E v e r y d a y. Beautiful champagne color. Super pigmented. i can apply this lightly to give me a nice everyday gentle glow or use it wet when i go out at night. You are also able to build with this product also. Either way, it looks amazing. And it comes with so much product! if i ever run out, im definitely going to buy again. Worth every penny
Absolutely love Soft & Gentle! I haven't used many highlighters in the past but I'm glad I didn't have to kiss too many frogs to find this prince <3 Such a nice sharp sheen to it. If it's layered, it'll give a sunkissed effect. But for everyday use, just a small amount and you're looking dewy and amazing. continued >>
One of the best products sold at MAC, hands down. This highlighter is a beautiful champagne shimmer with some gold veining in it. I have light to medium skin. This makes me skin look like its glowy and dewy in the most perfect way. It is a bit pricey but the quality and the amount you get is so worth it! If you have light/medium skin you must check this out! I will definitely repurchase.
I got this over the weekend after looking around the Mac counter (I originally went there to get another Dazzleglass in Like Venus so that I will have a backup when I run out of the first one, I liked it so much lol), after they said that they were sold out of the lighter shade like this one. This one looked like a bronzer in the pan, but when I swatched it, it was so beautiful and shimmery, and very sheer. i have very pale skin, so bronzers usually scare me, but this is definately a highlighter and doesn't really bronze you. I applied this to the bridge of my nose and my cheekbones, and it's just beautiful. I know that this will last me for quite some time seeing how big the compact is, but when I do run out, I will definalty be getting this again!!
One of friends introduced the MOST perfect highlighter (this one) I've ever seen, she tried it on me & I fell in loveee. It's much better than the Hard Candy Bronzer in Tiki! I have THAT one, probably thinking about getting me this one though :) haaaa. So people out there! You must try this thing! I'm telling you! YOU will FALL in LOVE! ^-^
P.s. its more pricey than my Hard Candy one, debatinggg! continued >>
this is one of my favorite products I own. I use it as a highlight on my cheekbones, down my nose/ whatever and it's perfect. if only the product was smaller and less expensive! I've owned mine probably for about a year and it's not even halfway gone (i did stop using it for a while at one point to experience with other products). if there was less product and a less expensive price, i could try out other MSF without wasting the one I already own, or I could continue to repurchase it because i feel like overtime it is collecting bacteria and whathaveyou thus I'll need to replace it soon enough anyway...regardless of how much product I still have left :/ 4 1/2 stars for that reason!
I have just used this for the first time today, and after watching a a few tutorials, i put it all over my face - only to notice id turned into a living glitter bomb explosion! (Im like NC15).
So dusted off and started again, and like most people say - its a fabulous cheek highlight, catches the light in all the right places, and very fine, i love it, but NEVER ever all over the face again!

I really like this product but only for cheekbones. I'm one of those who HATES a matte complexion. I love a fresh, dewy complexion all year round, therefore I do not even possess a face powder, but I have numerous highlighters for cheekbones, forehead, nose and chin. I will NEVER be seen without one! I actually bought this product with the intention of using it everywhere, but I quickly realised it is not the best for all-over highlighting because of the shimmer aspect and the noticeable gold glitter. On the cheekbones, this is VERY pretty - it neutralises any strong blusher outlines and gives such a beautiful finish to my blush. Even if the blush I'm wearing has shimmer in - I often use BeneFit Coralista, SugarBomb or Dandelion - this still makes them look even better so I am never without it for this reason. But on other areas of my face, it just doesn't work for me. I much prefer my Bobbi Brown Beige Shimmer Brick (or the Bronze one in the summer) as the shimmer is more finely-milled and is nowhere near as obvious as this is. Lately, I have also discovered Boots No. 7 Vital Enlightening Highlighter Powder, and this is just as impressive as Bobbi Brown, so I am using that on the rest of my face. What I have noticed, however, is that the MSF is starting to lose some of the gold veins the more I use it. I seem to have one side which has all but lost the gold veins and the other side which still has some considerable veining. The colour itself is beautiful - it gives a peachy glow, and I personally prefer it without the gold veins. But for those who want it for the glitter effect, this might be disappointing... Overall though, a great highlighter which is definitely more suited to cheekbones than all-over highlighting.
