Great mascara and easy to apply because of the wand. The packaging is beautiful--a dark silver tube with black flowery designs on it. At first i had a problem with large clumps of it sticking to the brush, but just scrape off the tip of the brush before you apply and there are no more clumps after that, and it applies smoothly.
First I will say that I never buy the same mascara twice, so I have tried a lot of mascaras. To that end, I got the mascara sampler from Sephora and this was part of it. I am very impressed with this one. My lashes are naturally long, straight and I curl them (will hold a curl unless its raining/humid/nasty out). What impressed me about this mascara is it did not clump, flake or make my lashes fall from a curl (some do). I like the curved brush and think it really gets all my lashes coated. I will definitely consider purchasing this in the full size.
I absolutely love this mascara! Ironically, I got this as a sample when I purchased Benefit's They're Real mascara. I had heard such great reviews about They're Real (which is OK in my opinion but not worth the price) and had to have it, but I find myself always reaching for the Urban Decay mascara sample instead. It makes my lashes look just amazing. I never have a problem with clumping (which happens with they're real) and it really does make my lashes look like I curled them. I find this to be the easiest to work with mascara, no matter what I do, it doesn't clump or give me spider lashes. I also find it helps with volume. I only have the sample size but I am definitely purchasing the full size once I get a chance.
I really like this mascara. It does add a significant amount of curl to my lashes. I haven't had a problem with clumping like some other reviewers have.
First of all, let me say: DO NOT JUDGE THIS PRODUCT BASED ON WHEN YOU FIRST USE IT!
The first few times I used it, I really hated it, but now that I've waited a few weeks I absolutely love it. At first it was wet, messy, and did not separate or thicken at all. I did, however, get great results from using a tacky primer (MAC Prep+Prime Lash, in this case).
Let me mention, for reference, that my lashes are already quite long and plentiful, but very very flat and droopy. There is a slight curl overall, but no curl at the root. I always used thick, fibre brushes (a la Diorshow), and this is my first ever plastic, curled brush.
Once dried out a little and without a primer, this mascara separates and lifts lashes really well. Because my lashes are very limp, curlers are quite useless - this mascara can't get a 5 only because my lashes will never curl more than about 50% no matter what I use. :-P With this, my lashes really are lifted and fanned out, without clumping. I find that doing a coat on one eye, letting it dry a bit, and then going over with a much lighter coat gives the best results. It makes my eyes look huge!
If you have a little patience, you can get great results!!
The formula for this mascara doesn't work for my type of lashes. My lashes are not naturally curly, and when i put this mascara on it takes out the curl. The only upside that I did notice was that it lengthened my lashes, so it's great for my lower lashes, but I will not repurchase.
This mascara is too wet for me. I like the curved wand, but it does nothing for my lashes. Wouldn't waste my money on this one.
I got this product recently with Sephora's Lashtash. The mascara was not worth its original price. It is not bad, but it has drugstore mascara quality for the price of designer's product. Besides, if you live in Canada, or a cold environment be prepared to see your mascara flaking within few hours.
I got this mascara with the BOS IV palette. I'm so glad I did, because based on the reviews for this product, I never would've tried it on my own. I was surprised to find it has such a low rating, because I absolutely LOVE it.
I've tried all kinds of mascara over the years, from high-end to low, with various types of brushes and formulas. I have never been impressed by a single one of them. Not. One. That is, until now.
My lashes seem pretty pitiful to me (though they could probably be worse). I could never get them to look spectacular with any mascara I tried, even if I curled them and used mascara primer first. But this stuff....oh man. Two coats and my lashes look like doll eyelashes, *and* it eliminates the extra step of curling them.
***Note to ladies with sparse lashes: Please be sure to use a mascara primer before your mascara! You will not believe the difference!! It does for your lashes what even several coats of mascara can't do before clumping up and looking like gross tarantula legs!***
Okay, this mascara is great for my lashes, but probably wouldn't do any good for short and straight stubborn lashes(many asians have this type) you guys need a more waxy mascara instead of a watery mascara as it would hold them up better. For me, its the best mascara i've ever purchased, at first i was shocked to see the change, it seriously is amazing how long and curled my lashes looked. May not work for some but definitely worked for my medium length, flexible, normal thickness lashes:D
