I'm not afraid to look in the mirror anymore!
Excellent serum! My dull sickly skin is much fresher and healthier looking. More even skin tone. Product absorbs very quickly into skin, no greasy residue like some serums. No problems with acne or clogged pores which can be trouble for me and my oily skin.
Product is expensive but when it works it's worth it in my view.
Definetly buy again :)
I love this product.
I just recently repurchased this product in the limited edition (3.4 oz size.) It is worth every single penny so I donít consider it too expensive for the results I see.
Over the winter my skin went crazy and I developed red patchy/bumpy skin all over my chin and cheeks. I had to pile on makeup to try and cover it. Nothing seemed to help. My skin was also super delicate to touch; it hurt to rub. Now I work at a Clinique counter right across from an Estee Lauder counter and as I grew more and more desperate I started eyeing the ANR.
I had used ANR before when I only used Estee Lauder skincare and I had had great results. Therefore, I bit the bullet and asked the EL consultant for a sample of ANR. She gave me two nights worth. That was all I needed to know I wanted the biggest size available.
Fast forward 3 weeks. Redness is 95% gone. The bumps and acne scars are almost invisible and fading fast. My t-zone and cheek balance (the difference between oily areas and dry) are greatly reduced. Also, I am only wearing the Estee Lauder BB cream today and my skin is so clear I donít need anything else.
I will repurchase again and would recommend this product to everyone!
I am so glad I came across this product. I got this first as a GWP and was amazed when I used it for a few weeks. So I got myself a big bottle and now have been using this for a year, on and off.
I have blotchy, oily and uneven skin, but this serum solves all that overnight. When I use this before going to sleep, I always wake up with a fresh, soft, glowing face the next day. After using this for weeks, the dark areas and minimal lines at the corner of my eyes disappear (yes, I use this around my eyes too, although I am getting a GWP eye concentrate and will be reviewing that soon); my skin is glowing, it looks and feels more even and smoother. It doesn't break me out but I don't think it helps heal pimples either. It does help lightening scars on the face. But the thing is, you have to consistently use this serum to reap the amazing results.
The packaging is good, I love that there is a dropper so you don't contaminate the serum every time you use this. I would love to use this every day, all the time, the only setback is the high price tag. But it is really worth it. That's why when my second bottle runs out, I will have to set aside money for this. My skin looks and feels fresh and young with this. :)
I'm in love! After the reviews on here, and seeing free samples advertised on tv. I stopped by the Estee Lauder booth. OMG in 1 night, my red acne was peach colored, skin tone was more even.
After a few weeks, pores are smaller, blackheads are less prominent. Skin is still looking even and soft. Enough that my girlfriends even my brothers have commented on my skin. Luv that it keeps the red acne at bay. My skin is super pale and red hormonal acne doesn't help the porcelin look I love. I still have little breakouts, but they're not the huge cysts I would normally get.
I use this with verite calming lotion and moisture relief.
Not diggin' the glass container, maybe a plastic one would bring the price down?
The price is alot too. $64CAD for 30ml. I find I don't need as much as they say, so my samples that were supposed to last 10 days, have lasted past 3 weeks.
I think at 36 I've finally found a skin care line I love. Gave it a 5 b/c my skin looks great after 3 weeks and doesn't itch!
I like this, and will keep using it. But I haven't had the amazing experience that other reviewers have had re clearing up acne, which is a shame! Honestly this doesn't do much re preventing acne for me, although it does seem to speed up the healing process a bit with existing acne, and helps with scar healing (which is very important to me).
I have very few wrinkles at the moment (just the standard fine lines around the eyes) as I'm only 30, but I'm hoping that this product is doing some prevention work for me and I'll be pleased I started using it.
It's lovely to apply. I only use a small amount each time so it lasts a while, which is lucky because it is really very expensive! the most expensive component of my skincare regime in fact. But I think it's worth it.
My skin:fair, combination, normal on cheeks although not very oily on the tzone area. prone to occasional hormal spots around the chin area and blocked pores beside my nose
Im on my second bottle of this and i have to say i
reaaaalllly like it! i initially purched the 30ml and then purchased the 50 ml. Im 23 and so i dont have any real signs of aging yet to speak of but i view this as a preventitive measure more than anything.
Its texture is very "liquidy" in that its not gloopy or anything its fairly runny. It absords very quickly into the skin and plumps it up amazingly and I always wake up with fresh looking skin. I actually think this has kept alot of minor spots at bay that would otherwise usually appear around my chin every now and then too.
ingredient wise, listen im sure there are far more amazing products out there tech wise but this is very good and if you are interested in this one I would recommend it. IT HAS A CULT STATUS FOR A REASON LADIES :)
UPDATE 19-04-12: Overall my skin has kept its amazing condition ever since I started using this serum. It is soft, luminous, bump-free and more resilient than when I was on Retin-A. I am still on Accutane and I have never gotten the Initial breakout that people were talking about, so I definitely recommend this for people that are going on Accutane or who are having troubled skin (acne, pigmentation, sensitivity, etc.) My skin's pigmentation marks have improved greatly while using this serum nightly, and the marks are healing a lot faster than if I just left them alone. Now I can just use a light layer of foundation only where I need it. I think this serum is great for readapting the skin, something like Rehab for traumatized skin. It really helped with pimples because lately I've been really exhausted and sometimes I forget to wash my face at night. Since I wear makeup daily, that led to some breakouts on my usual areas: chin, forehead, nose, cheek. To stop them from getting worse, I applied this serum intensly (7 drops) liberately allover. Doing so, the pimples that were just trying to form dissapeared overnight, if not quicker. For this reason, I will keep using this serum as a preventative mesure against breakouts in the futur. It would be a great product to keep using for life, but it might be too expensive for some. I found that using an AHA weekly (1 or 2 times max for me) can add even more benefits to the skin, in addition to the daily exfoliation this serum seems provide. I'm really happy with this product and will recommend it to everyone.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I've been using this serum for around 6 weeks now, so my skin has had time to complete its own cell turnover and I am ready to write my review. However I do want to do updates since the effects haven't completely kicked in just yet. I plan on writing an update at week 12.
My skin type is very complicated: I had sensitive skin, acne prone, very oily t-zone and normal u-zone in summer, dry u-zone in winter. However that changed since I am now on Accutane (currently 2nd month-feb2012), my skin is really dehydrated, thinned-out and dry on the surface. I also react extremely quickly to products, so if something is wrong, I get red bumps or whiteheads almost immediately. I have been using a retin-A for the past two years on and off, before asking my derm for Accutane. My skin also scars really easily when I have a spot. Do note that my skin scars extremely easily (I blame the retin-A) and I had a lot of dark red pimple scars on my face before my change of routine.
Since this summer, I've been reading about Accutane, and from its reviews and hearing about it from my BF, I realized that it makes my skin really dehydrated by shrinking my oil glands, as well as causing an initial breakout. So I've decided to search for something that will heal my skin before, during and after the initial breakout, and to prevent some of the pimples as well. I read about this serum which is said to repair the skin from environmental damage, and I was very interested in it. I've also used some products containing hyaluronic acid, which is known to boost the skin with moisture. I knew that the ANR contains a lot of nutrients and actives, and since it has been touted to be a protective and repairing serum, I decided to give it a try.
I asked for a sample at an Estee counter first, doubting about its effects and thinking that it's nothing but a semi-clear liquid that smells weird. During that time, I was also trying out foundations and skin creams for my Accutane-dehydrated skin. I wore an foundation that had too much silicones, which gave me some clogs on my chin and t-zone as well as whiteheads on my cheeks. The night I tried it on my skin, nothing really happened. I used it under an Avene moisturizer (if I remember well, since I had a lot of samples to try) and the morning after, I definitely saw a difference. The pimples were smaller and the clogs were barely there! I couldn't believe it either, so skeptically, I kept using the sample. I realized after a while (three days to be exact) that every night I use this serum, I wake up with plump, fresh looking skin.
Now, six weeks after my initial ťtonnement, my red spots are slowly fading, and since some days, I've been getting compliments! My skin is now smooth and fresh, albeit still dehydrated from Accutane, but I believe that ANR has helped me tremendously! I can count the number of pimples I've had since I started Accutane+ANR, and a few of them disappeared overnight while I wore this serum under a creamy moisturizer!! I'm definitely not trying to push this product in any way, but the results are there and I am now a proud owner of soft, plump skin :)
To use, I apply about 8 drops allover my face and neck and massage it in until my skin absorbes it all. Sometimes when my skin has been neglected during the day (some morning I wake up without washing my face), I use much more than necessary to pamper it: I smooth on 7 drops of the serum allover my face, massaging it in with smooth long strokes and cover my face with my palms so that it feels warm and comforting. I keep massaging until it is absorbed and repeat three times. After the facial massage, I barely need any moisturizer and I look as if my skin has had a few drinks!! (In the good way) I still dab a bit of moisturizing cream and massage that in. When I wake up the next morning, all the neglect, abuse or general tiredness of my skin completely vanishes! I'm really grateful for this great product and it is now an integrate part of my routine.
This stuff was awful for me. Not only is it too darn expensive, it left me with cysts all over my face (my skin is usually clear) and had no hydrating properties whatsoever on my normal skin.
This product gives me cystic acne and makes my eczema/ rosacea worse.
The 2 lippies because it helps to make my fine lines less obvious .
can i mix Copper peptide serum from skin biology into this, any feedback please appreciate it. Its that my copper serum is too thin and runny, and i need a nice jelly serumy like base, I thought this wold be a perfect match. Just want to make sure the ingredients in this agrees with super peptide serum.\\thanks
