i would always go back to this after playing around with so many other eyeliners! do note i wear eyeliner on a daily basis n this works like a charm n stays for 24hrs haha! i hope they make glittery ones soon!
This is the only eyeliner I've tried other than MAC Liquidlast (hated it, so hard to remove) that is industrial-strength and doesn't smudge on my ultra oily eyelids. I can comfortably wear this all day knowing that I won't have raccoon eyes at the end of the day. The brush tip makes for easy application and the product lasts for a few months of daily wear. A staple in my makeup bag.
I borrowed this from my girlfriend for my wedding yesterday and I did tested it out for precision and lasting quality as claimed. Upon first application I fell in love with this pen. I didn't have to pause and depress any pump to release the ink, neither do I have to dip my brush in to any eyeliner bottle which I have to do so previously for other brands like Maybelline. The ink came out perfect, not dripping too much nor too little and the sharp smooth brush tip makes it a breeze that looks like a professional lining. Best of all, this is drugstore brand (sold at Watsons Singapore for S$18.90) that works like any high end cosmetic brands.
The color lasted me throughout the whole day in a hot, sunny and humid Singapore weather even as I did my solemnisation vows in the sweltering heat. My powder may have melted a little but definately not this eyeliner. Its lives up to its claim,
Precision: 5 out of 5
Ease: 5 out of 5
Staying quality: 5 out of 5
I am reviewing the normal version, not the waterproof version. Please click on continued for pics of the eyeliner, its tip and swatch. Note that mine is a LE pen, so it is not in the black casing.
Back to the eyeliner, it is a rather easy to use liquid eyeliner pen. Note that I'm still a beginner with liquid eyeliner though I'm pretty good with pencil and gel liners. Its brush is a pretty soft, fine tipped one. I like this eyeliner is because you don't need to click or do whatever to dispense the liquid eyeliner. The liquid just comes out by itself and the amount is just right. I also like its packaging as most liquid eyeliner has the brush dipped into the liquid and I figure those have to be thrown out afetr a certain period of time like mascara?
The colour is black though imo, it is not black enough for one layer. I mean my black pencil liner is "blacker" if it makes sense. When swatched on paper, it's really black, but when on eyes, I need 2 layers to get the same black intensity. Too bad that currently, it comes out with a single colour, jet black, only. I hope more shades will come up soon.
It stays on well throughout the day. To start with, my eye lids aren't particularly oily. Pretty much smudge-proof unless you rub it really hard to the point that your skin will turn red. But I need to allow a minute or so for the liner to dry completely.
I'd say this is rather waterproof as well though this is not the version claiming to be waterproof. It is difficult to remove it completely with water alone, no matter cold or warm. The liner simply fades but there is still a "mark", just like tattoo as the product claimed. I cannot remove it completely with wet tissues though interestingly the waterproof version was gone this way when I swatched it in store. To get this completely removed along with my other eye m/u, I need to use my cleansing oil and then the facial cleanser. Either one alone is not enough for unknown reason. I'm going to experiment more ways to get this removed in an easier way and will definitely report back if I find one. This is also why I rate this a 4 and not going to repurchase at this moment. I probably will try the WP version which is probably, less WP than this one as from my hand swatch test.
Price-wise, I find it a little bit expensive conisdering it's a d/s item. But still, it's cheaper than h/e ones. Fyi, it retails for HKD109/ USD14 here.
Here shows my little experiment. The lower pic showed the results of my poor wrist after rubbing in water, then hand washing soap, then Sofina cleansing oil and Philosophy Purity cleanser.
This eyeliner is amazing. I happened to buy it while I was in Japan, but I also found it available over E-bay for about $15 dollars. This is like using a fine point marker for your eyes. There is no pumping, dripping or any other nonsense with this liner. The line comes out perfect every time, just as thick or thin as you want it. Lasts all day until you take it off. Is easily removed with just water and some facial cleanser. And, is safe and non-irritating for people with contacts! BUY IT NOW!
I usually do not wear eyeliner only on special occasions but this eyeliner is great it really is long lasting maybe not 24 hrs but for sure it lasts all nite,, its fun when i wear it looks really pretty,,
love love looooveeee this eyeliner.
I found it at my local marukai market, but it can also be found at nijiya, or any japanese market probably.
The price is a bit steep, about 15 dollars, but its wonderful overall so its really worth it.
The packaging is great. Before i was using the loreal intense liquid liner, but when i needed more liquid id always have to dip it back into the tube, but with this eyeliner just a few shakes and you have it ready! the color is a nice dark black and the very thin tip makes it so easy to make a thin line and very easy to control.
It says to take it off, you can use warm water to wipe it off, which ive tried and the majority does come off, but i do use makeup remover just incase. Smudgeproof though so dont worry!
With the tip being so thin you have to be careful when placing the cap back on. Make sure its going straight into the cap, and not getting bent. once bent and its all over!
I wish this came in other colors, but unfortunately theres only jet black. I kept the packaging it came in so that I can place it back in to allow the liquid to flow down towards the tip of the liner.
Wonderful product! Will surely buy again when I run out.
This is a Japanese eyeliner and it's the BEST the BEST I have ever used. If I had rated any other liner a 5, then this must be a 6.
1. It's like a feather pen and much more hygeine since you don't have to pump back into the bottle.
2. Unlike others eyeliners that require your technical expertise, the liquid for this eyeliner automatic flows just the right amount to the tip at any given time, not too little and not too much. You don't have to pause to pump.
3. Drawing is easy. It's up to you - tilt it to draw thick line or hold it straight to draw thin line.
2. It doesn't smudge AT ALL and stays on all day like a tattoo. I totally felt in love with it after I tested it out on my hand. You can go swimming with no fear.
3. Stays on like a tattoo but removing is a breeze and you won't look like a racoon. I use jojoba oil and it comes off almost like a sticker.
4. A tube gives you many months of supply. I bought this last summer and haven't run out. I don't use it every single day but consistently - it's always the one eyeliner that I reach for.
5. Best value - it costs around $15 and its quality is superior to those high end brand.
The only con is it's not blendable and comes only in black though. But I am too satisfied to care.
It's available at most Japanese markets (e.g. Marukai, Mitsuwa)
