Oh how I hate this stuff. I kick myself for not trying it out in the store before buying the big bottle. Its too runny, the scrub washes away too fast, its kinda slick and smells like Lemon Pledge or something my grandmother would clean with.
This is the most refreshing scent I have gotten from lush to date. It does kinda smell like 'Vim' but not too much that I am disgusted with it. The scent is hard to put my finger on.... kinda citrusy.... kinda floral....totally lovely. I enjoy the salt scrubby bits even if they don't do much for exfoliating. The scent really lingers as well - smells so good layered with Sympathy for the Skin and Vanilla Puff Dusting Powder. This is my shower gel for the summer - Olive Branch and Tramp MAKE WAY for RUB RUB RUB!
Love this stuff. To me it smells really fresh, clean with a hint of floral. It doesn't lather much but that doesn't bother me. The texture of this is nice too- it feels nice a thick and is not runny at all. I leaves my skin smooth, soft and clean. I don't feel the need to moisterize after using this. The only thing I don't like is I bought the 100 gram bottle of this and it's really hard to get product out since the bottle is stiff. I think if I size up to the 500 gram it will be much better- since I had this issue with other LUSH products in the 100 gram bottle, I do have something else in the 500 gram bottle and it wasn't as hard. I think this is great in the summer- it really feels refreshing to use.
I've used this about 3 times and I think this is a ok product. I got this as a sample during a LUSH event and i'm glad I didn't purchase. The scent is pleasant and wakens you up. It smells like a salty sour margarita with a hint of lime. It's good for those days whern you need a jolt to wake you up. The scent def will do that for you. The only thing I don't like about this is that my skin gets extremely dry afterwards and I personally like gels/soaps that leave my skin moisturized. I don't think I will repurchase but i'm glad I got to try it.
Makes you feel subtly clean without that overscrubbed, tight sensation. The smell isn't wonderful (is this what sea salt smells like?), but it's not overpowering or anything. A bit expensive, but you don't need buckets of it at a time, so the bottle should last awhile. A real change from using drugstore brands!
AAMAZING. The smell is gorgeous, and it makes me skin feel so soft. Plus guys like it too ;) My only complaint is that the salt crystals melt to quickly to be any use for an exfoliant, but it lathers well enough to make up for that. This stuff is so good.
Kind of like a mixture of Sakura and Ocean Salt, I wish the salt granules were a bit bigger though for a better exfoliation. But over all its a great concept...mixing two shower steps in one to save time.
I got this as part of the "Hello Gorgeous" box from my sister. Overall, it's an alright product for me- i really like the scent- reminds me of grade 8 camp for some reason; it does make my skin clean although i think it might be a bit too harsh and stripping. It kind of made my skin a little dry and itchy afterwards. I've tried it on my hair a few times too and it can make hair clean and shiny for the whole day. Update: Dried out my hair and made it look matted today.
I wouldn't have given this another glance in the store, but the tester was right there and I felt like sniffing things. I'm so glad I did. I can't explain what the smell reminds me of, but something pleasant from my childhood. It says the scent is lemon and mimosa, but to me it reminds me of summer camp I think. Weird. I used this in my hair and I love how it has the salt scrubbies in it because it's like using Big, but half the price tag. It's an awesome scrub, but it could use a bit more salt in it because I found it more of a body wash with a little bit of scrubbies in it. The scent doesn't last on my skin, which is alright because it gives me something to look forward to in my morning shower. I will be buying the big one next time.
I do wonder if there is some product inconsistency. For me, this smells identical to camping Ė canvas, groundsheets, the rubber of a foot pump, blow-up beds. I get a faint lily of the valley scent, amidst the curious camping aroma, but itís difficult to discern. As an avid LUSH user, I am surprised the scent of my Rub Rub Rub got through quality control Ė itís not bad, as such, just bottled tent. I can enjoy that for the nostalgia, but I would prefer the salty ocean most other internet reviews speak of.
The consistency of this is odd too Ė as slippery as eel skin. Not like any other product Iíve encountered. The salt is exfoliating so long as you donít use much water. Itís a bit rough totally dry (youíd need to use gloves) and dissolves in seconds when in contact with water. If you donít rinse off well, skin tastes salty. For this reason, I wouldnít recommend Rub Rub Rub before a romantic tryst, unless this was something you were particularly going for.
