Love this brush. Great for blending, stippling, foundation, powder... the list goes on. Great value and the best £3.50 you could spend on beauty products!
I really love this brush! This caught my eye a few months ago as I was browsing the E.L.F. website, but I decided it wasn't worth the shipping prices. So when I saw this last month at Target, I immediately bought it...and it's lucky that I did, because it's been sold out for a while now. I use this to put on my blush and it gives me really nice, smooth application. I love it!
I'm not sure why everybody loves this brush. It's ok for the price. I don't find the bristles all that soft. When I stipple with this brush, it leaves an obvious texture to my skin, not smooth. Buffing is a little better with the finish, but I don't like to buff my foundation, because it doesn't give the coverage I want. It's a cute brush, I got it in the 11 piece glitter kit. I love the other brushes, but this one is one of my least favorites.
I'm rewriting my review for this brush, because I've changed my mind. I raved about this when I got it for the first time; I'd never used a flat top brush for applying liquid foundation. I'd only used the 190 brush by Mac.
- Very affordable.
- Does an alright job at buffing in liquid foundation.
- The bristles are not very soft or very good quality. This is more noticeable after washing the brush a few times. It seems to get scratchier each time I wash it (which I don't think is due to my washing method as it only happens with cheap brushes like this one in my experience).
- The construction of the brush isn't good; the brush head tends to come off of the handle. I've ordered a few of this same brush and some of them actually arrived almost broken already.
- Overall, the quality isn't consistent; some shed, others don't. Some arrive with broken handles or weirdly shaped heads (because of the packaging), others arrive just fine. Some break after a few uses, other after lots of uses. (I'm convinced this brush won't last you years and years)
Honestly, I own about 4 Studio Powder Brushes, and I never use any of them anymore. It's an ok brush. If you're thinking about venturing into the world of flat top brushes, this may work as a cheap introduction to see if you like it. That's how it worked for me, at least.
I ended up ordering another flat top Sigma brush: the F80. Although I don't really support the brand for copying Mac the way they do, I must say this brush is much better made than the ELF one. It's softer, denser, has a better shape and is better constructed.
Since I started using Mac Face & Body foundation a few months ago, I switched back to using the 190 paddle foundation brush again. I'm sort of over the whole flat top buffing brush thing.
Wonderful brush! The finish I get from my liquid foundation with this one, is amazing. It actually made several of my most hated foundations work! This brush does`nt eat my foundation at all, and I have already ordered two backups.
This is one of my favorite brushes. I keep this brush in my purse to touch up my powder, blush and bronzer. It is the perfect brush for all of these. Plus its cheap and does an amazing job!
I usually wait at least a few weeks before I decide whether or not a product is good/bad; however, I couldn't wait to give a review for this brush. This brush was finally in stock @ my local Target. I was about to order it online (based on its good reviews) but decided it wasn't worth the shipping charges, and I already have a couple of foundation brushes in my rotation. I used this brush with my foundation and it applied wonderfully, no streaking, just great application. I was truly amazed because I've tried a few other foundation brushes and they usually leave streaks that require a great deal of elbow grease to buff in. This was not the case with this ELF powder brush, I found myself using less product but was able to achieve the airbrush look effortlessly. I've only used this brush for foundation/tinted moisturizer but I can imagine it to be a perfect sized brush to use with blush, powder, bronzer, etc. It's is densely packed, soft, minimal shedding, and its handle fits nicely in my hands with ease and great control. Since I just started using this brush, I can't rate how it holds up in the long run but for now, I'm very happy with this brush. All in all, for $3, you do not have much to lose. I love it!!!
i bought 2 of these cuz i knew i would love it so much, and i did!!!!!!! i have nothing to complain about. so multi-purpose!!!!! dense enough for applying foundation!
Cheap! Only $3, plus they are always on sale!
Picks up color amazingly! Love this as a blush brush!
Love the size, it's perfect!
I Love this brush! It's great, the quality is amazing, super soft, and only $3!?! Crazy! This is my everyday blush brush, it's great because it picks up color SO well on blushes (like baked ones) that are hard to get the color! Love this brush, recommend it to anyone!
i really like this brush. Its soft and really easy to use. Its a great brush
