It removes makeup rather nicely and completely, not like some other ones I've tried. However, it is really annoying to shake the bottle, esp. when you're tired and want to sleep--and it's greasy afterwards, and you've to wash it. But all makeup removers have to be rinsed afterwards anyway, so I don't see that as too discouraging.
The jar looks really pretty--reminds me of mercury underneath water in a jar together that I used to see in decorations.
I love this product and have been using it for years. So, I'm actually really surprised the overall rating for it on this site is so low. It completely removes even waterproof mascara without irritation or the need to tug at the vulnerable skin around the eye area. (I tend to wet both my eye area and a cotton pad with water first and then apply a little of the remover to the damp cotton pad, which seems to work better for me than just using the remover on its own.) Sure, it leaves a bit of a greasy residue (although not as much if you follow my routine), but I remove my eye makeup at the end of the day. So, that's really not a problem for me. If you have reservations about purchasing this product, my suggestion is just pick it up the next time Lancome has a "gift with purchase," since it seems like they have one almost on a monthly basis and this remover is typically part of the gift.
this stuff is great. it gets the job done well. i love that i can get this at lancome outlets. they were having their f&f so it was only $13. i don't like how the remoover will come out of the bottle if you shake it to mush without covering the hole.
This removes mascara better than any other product I've used, though admittedly my previous buys were cheapies because I was hoping this would be the one area of my make up/skincare that I didn't spend much on. Shoddy products have made that impossible.
You only need a small amount, it's gentle, non irritating and I love the look of the bottle. It's nice when something as mundane as removing eye make up can be made to feel luxurious!
-For the AU readers I highly recommend buying this online - the price instore is ridiculous.
Ugh. I always get these as GWPs. I don't know why everyone likes them, they make my eyes feel disgustingly greasy afterward. I do like the bottle but it's annoying to remember to shake it to mix up all that oily stuff inside. I guess it may be better for people with dry skin but I prefer other makeup removers that are not so oily.
Excellent for sensitive eyes. Removes eye make-up well without irritating. Love this product. Bit pricey
I got this as a free gift and think this is a pretty good product. It removes my makeup better than anything else I've tried but my only gripe is that it's not oil-free. There is a slight hint of a greasy feel afterwards. Being a contact lens wearer, I prefer Maybelline's towelettes because I can comfortably keep my contacts in afterwards.
It is great. My sensitive eye areas love it. Best eye makeup remover.
It does feel a little bit greasy, but to remove waterproof makeup, it has to be like this.
I find it an extremely gentle eye makeup remover. Doesn't sting at all. It removes all traces of stubborn eye makeup easily. It doesn't tug at your eyelashes, a plus, don't want to lose those precious lashes. I always have a washing ritual after makeup removal, so the slight oiliness is not a problem, if anything, it moisterizes, so it doesn't sting the delicate area around the eyes. The bottle is large, you don't use a lot, so I find it last a fair amount of time. A definate repurchase.
I love this eye makeup remover! Removed all my eye makeup, even waterproof, so easily! It was great not having to rub my eyes raw just to take my makeup off.
