Best concealer so far.
Hides dark circles and scars.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this little pot concealer (reupdate) !!!!!
bought this in medium shade, this product is quite dry in texture so it won't really help to use your hand to pat on the face, so i decided to use a brush and that works much better! I have only tried on my blemishes, no undereye circles yet :) I'll keep updating this when I have tried a few more times. But for now, i've noticed that this product stays on very well, provided that I layered up loose powder after application!
UPDATE: This has become a daily staple for me - I reach for it everyday! this concealer has great staying power! I wear it all day and the concealer only seems to wear out a little at night (but maybe I was just sweating though). just a little amount of it is enough to cover eye circles and blemishes, very good concealing power, oh wow NOT BAD!!!!
P.S. I found that using your fingers to dab and blend is much more effective than a brush !!! because the heat from your fingers would help to soften the dry textured concealer and makes blending easier.
This concealer worked well for me, I wouldn't call it industrial strength, but it works good on my undereye circles. I'm glad I got talked into the medium shade, the light would have been too light. This stuff is thick and creamy, but it is hard to blend on drier skin.
I really like this for under the eyes, which is how it is meant to be used. It is a color corrector. I have tried it for concealing on the face and it's not that great. I use a MAC concealer for that. But it does the job nicely and I will use it up for sure. Not sure if I will repurchase or not...
I am on the fence on this concealer. It works really well when my skin is clear and smooth but when my skin is dry it just looks terrible. It doesn't seem to apply easily either. But since I already have it I am trying my best to make use of it. Overall, this product is just o-k.
Update: I changed my rating from a 3 to a 4 because I like using this under my eyes...I find now that I use this everyday.
I have to amend this review, since it seems they have reformulated to make the consistency thinner. Now I'm not quite the fan of it I was before, and find myself grabbing for the MAC concealer far more often. Not sure why BeneFit messed with this concealer, and why they had to get rid of my favorite IT stick, but as a result, I don't buy BeneFit products nearly as much.
This is what I had previously said about the product, but it doesn't hold true with the new formulation:
One of the very best for concealing dark shadows, discoloration and pimples. I love to give people makeovers, and when my friends complain that there is NOTHING that can hide their dark undereyes, I love to pop this on them. They can't believe the results, and then have to buy some Boi-ing for themselves. And no, I'm not a makeup artist or in any way connected to the biz. Just know a good product when I try it. Poi-fect!
I absolutely swear by Benfits Boi-ing concealer! The consistency is great for dark circles because it is neither to thick and creamy nor too light that it doesn't provide great coverage. When applied, it is not to oily which helps for under the eyes because the eye area tend to crease often, which I can't stand. The only thing that I could criticize about this fab product is that they recently changed the packaging and although I really love the new look, it is a twist off instead of a flip-up top, which can be sort of frustrating because its just a little bit harder to screw it on and off instead of just flipping it up and down. Anyways love it still and its really the product inside the packaging that I love so go buy it girls, you won't regret it. It is money well-spent in my oppinion!
Eh, I have light fair skin and this made my undereye area look tan.
But, I've heard it works for others...so, maybe it's me?
Save your money, ladies (and gents(?) ha ha...) This stuff does not do what it says at hiding dark circles. 'Industrial strength'?? Hardly...the only thing industrial about it is the petroleum in it, which can iritate your eyes. I fell for the hype, and I was disappointed. I thought since it was used on actresses and newswomen in front of the camera to hide their dark circles, surely it would work for me, and it didn't. Plus, it can spoil easily (probably b/c of its ingredients), and the lid can occasionally flip open if you have it in your makeup bag, spoiling it even more. SAVE YOUR MONEY and get something that really works w/o breaking the bank!!
Not wanting to dish out another $68 for my Cle de Peau concealer, I decided to try the options at Sephora. I'd heard good things about Boi-ing from my mom and friends, but being that it was a Benefit product, and also that it came in a pot, I was slightly discouraged. I have found most Benefit products to be pretty disappointing, and pot concealers usually too slippery or sticky. I got color 01, the lightest color In this. I am a NC20-25 skintone, and fortunately, this was neutral (ie. Not too pink) enough to work with my skin. It *is* a tad pale, but the next color up is too tan for me. The coverage is decent. I would not say it is "industrial strength" - it does cover my undereye circles/discolorations fairly effectively, though not 100 percent, and lasted all day without needing to be set with powder. For this (color and coverage) I took off one lippie. Overall, it is pretty decent... Would not be my HG, but I don't mind it, either.
EDIT: 10/6/08 - Ugh, I ended up returning this. It didn't cover anything, and I looked like I had reverse raccoon effect. Very disappointing. continued >>
