This brush is awesome! This brush can be used for applying powder (pressed or loose, foundation, blush, contouring, and so much more! Whether you are new to using makeup or not, this brush is one that everyone must have!!!!!
Soft, lovely application, great value, would buy again and would purchase other brushes.
I really, don't like to hype products up, but this is a véry good brush.
You can easily build up coverage the way you want to and does it's job very good, it's easy to clean (I clean it with my Sephora daily cleanser) and the most important part: it's not expensive.
To be honest, my skin is going through a crisis right now and really sensitive and even painful, but this brush doesn't hurt on my skin at all, wow.
This and the E.L.F. kabuki brush are my two favorite brushes to use with mineral powder foundation.
I've never had a really expensive powder brush and with this one I don't really see a reason to rush out to buy one any time soon. I mainly use this as a bronzer brush (full face, collarbone area, decolletage, shoulders) and use some of my EcoTools brushes for finishing my face; however, if I had multiple ELF Studio Powder Brushes, I would probably use those to finish my face with no issues (: The price is amazing and it's so easily accessible, provided Target has them in stock. I've washed it a few times and have had absolutely no bristle fall out. I deep clean my brushes once a week with baby shampoo and then lay them out flat on my counter to dry. This brush has kept it shape through several washes and I imagine it will continue to do so for a long time. Even if it falls apart, which some people have mentioned theirs have, I'd just go pick up another one. I like to keep my brushes separated for each specific use, and these are affordable enough to stock up on one for each purpose (bronzer, finishing powder, foundation application, etc). Go get one of these, or several, now! :D I used to think I needed to invest in expensive high-end brushes or purchase one of the several brush sets that exist out there, but now I'm glad I never did. Investing in a few ELF Studio Brushes has been a great way to try out which brushes are most suitable for my personal makeup application purposes. I suggest anyone that's new to makeup do the same. Then you can find higher-end equivalents if you want to step your brush collection up a bit (:
For $3 bucks this brush is great! I have 2, one I use for face powder alone & the other to blend/buff out my blush. I love how soft the bristles feel, I have experienced no shedding from this brush. It's a bit heavy but I like how it doesn't feel too cheap. Only con for me is that one of mines is already feeling rocky at the base where the brush tip meets the handles, other than that I love this brush.
I have only used my brush twice and I already am in love with it! I used it with the ELF studio powder which is also AMAZING. I've only tried the brush with powder so far, but it gives such good coverage and buffs the powder in nicely. The brush is so smooth, even compared to my MAC brushes. I have no complaints and will always repurchase if I would ever need to. For 6 dollars you can't go wrong.
Would I buy this product again? Are you kidding me? YES! A million times over.
Lets start by saying I'm a complete and total brush FIEND. I adore brushes, and I have a practical collection. My obsession started very, very small. With gel eyeliner, and it just grew. I never felt the need for a "powder" brush, I thought it was pointless.
But, I would never use this for powder. It's just too dense, and too beautiful. I decided to give it my ultimate test.
I broke out my most hated foundation, Revlon Colorstay, and used this to apply it. I know, I know, the foundation is rated so highly. But, no matter what I did, it just looked HORRIBLE on me.
But, this brush made it look....good!
Not even my MAC Stippling brush could do that! I use my MAC 187 to apply powder, and when it applied the colorstay, it was just....so blah. Not this brush.
I stippled on the colorstay and looked at the brush when I was done. Not even ONE speck of makeup left on it. Not one!
It doesn't absorb product, or waste it, it's cheap, it doesn't shed, it's beautiful, it looks expensive, and it performs amazingly.
For 3 damn dollars? Oh E.L.F, Marry me?
I love this so much! It's perfect for applying my Revlon Colorstay liquid foundation. Before, I was using a wet sponge. Using a brush like this to buff in your foundation looks a lot more airbrushed and natural. Not to mention that this was super cheap *^_^*
I've cleaned it several times and haven't noticed any shedding. I'm sure it depends on the batch. I'm going to buy another one of these to store in my giant drawer of "backup" stuff =P
I purchased this brush after reading the reviews here and am so happy i did!!! I found it at Target for $3 and it is probably one of the best brushes that i have owned...and I've been through quite a few..I use it mainly for liquid application. I mix a drop of my SPF 15 daily face lotion(got to protect my skin from the Florida heat!) with my boots no.7 Illuminator and a little foundation, mix it all on the back of my hand, dip the brush in and buff my face. and i get the perfect healthy natural glow complexion and its so flawless. Ive gotten so many compliments on my skin.. I LOVE this brush and just bought a back up today! Highly recommend.
I am so happy I found this brush at Target yesterday! I wasn't even planning on buying it or even knew about all the wonderful reviews.. I was just waiting for the pharmacy to fill my perscription and wandered over to the makeup isles like usual lol. When I saw how cheap this was I was a little hesitant. But I thought hey it's only $3 so if I don't like it it's not a big deal. I used it this morning to apply my mac mineralized skinfinish natural (i think that's what it's called lol) over my liquid foundation. I absolutely loved how soft the brush was! The application was so even and natural, I didn't look like I had powder caked on my face. Also I didn't end up with hairs all over my face so that was just the icing on the cake! (but not litteraly b/c I didn't look cakey lol). Overall I'm extremely pleased I made the purchase, and I will definitely scoop up a couple more the next time I go to Target.
