After reading the reviews here on MUA for this foundation, I went to the mall on my lunch hour to try it. The SA was in a rush because her son & grand daughter were visiting the counter that day. She quickly matched me to 4. The next day when I applied the 4....WOW I was shocked, it was sooo dark and orange. YUCK! So the next day I went back to the mall and the SA who sold me the 4 wasn't there; the girls at the counter couldn't believe I had been matched to a 4. They started with 2 which is a bit too light with my tan so they finally matched me to 3. I wore this the next day and the color was a good match but I felt it sitting on my face and I was a little itchy. I tried it again the next day and all I wanted to do was go home and wash it off. I can't put my finger on it but something is irritating my sensitive skin. I do like it but I can't tolerate it. So it will be going back or up for swap.
Love it! I did have to go one shade darker though because colors were off so it was a little on the orange side. I cured this with a little lighter powder and voila! Great, great foundation. I will be using this and Lancome Dual finish for summer for sure! I am 42 with aging, sun spotted, wrinkled old skin and this works for me too! Looks like it can work for many ages 16 and WAY up! Might be worth a drive to your nearest counter for a 10 day sample! 32.50

Another MUA'er recommended that I go to my local EL counter and get a free 10day sample. So, I hauled all the kids into the car under the pretense that we were getting something for them -- BWWAHAHAHA!!
After going to the counter and talking with the MA for a few moments, I mentioned to her that I have been using BE in Light but was looking for a liquid alternative. She pulled out the fndt and swiped on my jawline and said it was PERFECT!!! Well, I was in doubt and asked for the next shade down (I have had this problem before with other fndts including BE). Well, she was nice enough and gave me 4.0 and 3.0.
I used 4.0 first the next day because that's what the MA rec. While using a skunk brush, I found it gave pretty good medium coverage and melted into my skin pretty well. It set up well and didnt seem to transfer to my cellphone any more than any other fndt. Even without powder I didnt feel shiny. It blended in well over my blemish scars and into my darker forehead.
However, 8hrs later when I was ready to wash my face, I am standing in front of the sink admiring the lasting power of this new fndt and then asked the dreaded question to the DH: Is my fndt too dark?
DH: Well, if you are asking me if there is a dark line at your jaw - then YES THERE IS!! (he has apologized since and said maybe it was the lighting) But I tried 3.0 the next day and he couldnt see any difference between where the fndt ended and skin started. I WAS RIGHT!!!
I have added a picture of my before and after with the fndt. I am half asian with yellow undertones with dark eyes and hair. The price tag is a little alarming - but I must admit and a little does go a LONG way.

I'm only sixteen, so I don't want a heavy foundation, but I did need something to cover blemishes and cover my very English-Rose redness of cheeks! This did the job, but unfortunately just not the right colour match as I have very pale skin.
MAC's Face and Body foundation (C3) is my fave of all time for winter. This one is definitely for summer or super oily skins in winter. I love the coverage (not fake cake like the original which i never bought because I never found my color match), the coverage is light but buildable, very natural looking but boy does it hang on to your face. Doesnt move all day. I just bought the clinique's Pore Minimizer Instant Perfector (cant say enough about that, read the review) and the combination can get me through those HOT days without blotting all day. LOVE the natural look. In MAC i'm NC35 and #3 for this is PERFECT. No funny shades of pink or orange, just me. Would I repurchase again? Are you kidding? my LONG LONG search for foundations is over, thanks to MAC and Estee Lauder, hope neither of them discontinue.
This product is a definite improvement over Double Wear for those who don't like that heavy feel-- what is lacking is color selection! Intensity 1 is NOT for all 1's. It ends up a warm shade with peach undertones on me and I need a cool shade with pink undertones. I was skeptical about that self adjusting story the SA gave me and with good reason-I don't like looking in the mirror and seeing Oh Great Pumpkin after a few hours. I would however reconsider trying this again for summer months only since I am a dry skin gal- if they get real and expand the color selection.
Very heavy feeling and, on my skin, could really look heavy, even though it is supposed to be light. Although the coverage does last, at the end of the day my face felt sticky.
I like this foundation, I am wearing number 2 (MAC 20-25), the staying power is great unlike any other foundation I have tried. I have oily skin and nothing and I mean nothing has stayed on quite like this. I tried the Double Wear and could never find a good enough match despite all their colors and it just looked too heavy for me. I have been using CDP and love their products but by noon most of my foundation is gone due to my oily skin. This light formula stays put and feels like I have nothing on, I do use CDP concealer on the spots I need to cover but overall I am so glad I found a foundation that matches and stays on in humidity and for those with oily skin. I still prefer CDP but during warm weather this is HG for me.
I was very surprised at the level of coverage this foundation offers. It's very pigmented and long-wearing, but feels light and stays matte on my oily t-zone. The best part is Double Wear Light doesn't sink into my pores like regular Double Wear. The original formula makes my pores look like the surface of the moon!! Double Wear Light is also easier to blend. A very small amount does a great job of covering redness and most imperfections. Very, very happy with this purchase. Although I gave it a 4, it really deserves a 4.5. The only reason I'm not giving it a perfect score is because I have to cover serious blemishes with concealer. It's still a wonderful product and because I only need a pea sized amount to cover my entire face, it should last several months.
This comes in 6 shades, and currently retails at $32.50 for 1 oz. I really like this over the original formula of Double Wear liquid. I wear shade 2 (I'm EL iMatch 2w1). This feels much creamier in consistency, and I don't have to hurry to blend it. I like that I can get either sheer or medium coverage from it, and that it contains vitamins A,C, and E, and has SPF 10, but still photographs well. It's also oil free and doesn't overwhelm my very oily skin.
A little goes a long way, it really gives a nice, natural finish, and stays on all day long. Very soft and pretty!
It comes off just fine with my Take It Away makeup remover.
If find that this is not too yellow in undertone, more of a neutral, since it's not broken up into categories like their other formulas.
I also like that this is in a squeeze tube, so it's much easier for me to get out all of the product.
I would definitely buy this again. =)
