In my opinion, this is "THE BEST" drugstore foundation out there by far!!! This even beats some of my high end foundations! The feel of this on the skin is very similar to Chanel's Perfection Lumiere!! This is now a permanent mainstay in my collection. This covers completely in one pump without the heavy, mask-like look! Makes my skin look perfect with a semi-matte finish! Also lasts a long time. Love this!!! If you're looking to try something new, you need to try this!
My new favorite foundation:) after years of using Revlon Colorstay, it began to break me out. Not sure why, but I began trying new foundations and remembered having luck with TruBlend in the past....so i gave this one a try. The coverage is just as good as CS and stays put all day. Photographs well and looks and feels natural. I apply with dampened wedge sponge and it looks flawless. I paid around $12 at Wal Mart. I also like their CG Olay serum foundation, but this is my new HG.
Oh!!! My God.one of the best drugstore foundation
My expectations for this foundation after purchasing it, were presumptuous. I did do my research and read a few reviews, but it's really hard to follow sometimes, due to hype of products. My prior foundation was m.a.c studio fix fluid, I finally awoke from my dream to realize there was no perfect color in m.a.c foundation for me (I'm not nc20 nor am I nw15) . The coverage was tacky, heavy, and would separate with or without primer or powder. Not to mention I was either yellow or pink. Thus, I would never recommend it and I wish I didn't stick with it so long. Moving on from my rant, I absolutely love this foundation. My color is classic ivory, and it blends in seamlessly to my neck and face. I have minimal skin issues, but I would by no means say my skin is perfect. My skin is combinational. Dry in some areas, and absolutely oily in other areas. This foundation has little transfer, the feel of it is silk, it's thick so it covers any imperfections after one or two pumps. On top of that, I can report no skin issues. I haven't broken out, and it has not caused my skin to appear excessively oily through out the day. It appears natural, and for fair girls like myself, we have not been thrown in the ashy or yellow category for once. Good job CoverGirl, you've beaten many high end foundations I've tried.
So after reading n watching reviews on the Covergirl outlast stay fabulous 3 in 1 foundation. I went out and got it. For all you Oily /Comb skin ladies run out and get it. It's my holygrail foundation now. It's the best foundation I've ever tried. And I normally wear only highend foundation. I'm NC 42 in Mac and wear 857 Golden Tan in the Covergirl. Which is the best color match I've ever had. I didn't even need to set it with a powder and I've never been able to do that with any other foundation before.
This is my favorite foundation ever to use in the winter when there isn't as much humidity! I have oily skin and I've tried everything. Revlon's Colorstay works well for my skin's oil, but it breaks me out. I have been using Covergirl's Outlast 3 in 1 for a month now with no breakouts and good oil control (I have to blot later in the day, but have to do that with Revlon's Colorstay, too). I was just at a women's retreat this past weekend and got so many compliments on how beautiful my skin looks. Without the foundation, I have sun damage and redness all of which is covered by this foundation. Way to knock it out of the park Covergirl!
I love this foundation! I have been using Laura Mercier's silk creme foundation for a while now and that thing is like 40-50 dollars a bottle! I was looking for a replacement and I heard this was a good foundation so I tried it out and I'm in LOVE with it. I'd even say it's better than the Laura Mercier and you definitely can't beat the price either.
It has great coverage but doesn't feel heavy. It looks flawless when it dries. Seriously try this!!! I'll update my post again in a few weeks to talk about if it broke me out or not but I have high hopes it won't.
Try this!!!! :)
So far so good. I've been using this for about 2 weeks now. I was initially hesitant because of the SPF since I've had some reactions in the past and always like keeping my makeup JUST makeup. But I haven't had a problem with this. It stays on all day just like it claims, which is a big deal for me since I go really light with my foundation applications and usually end up looking bare faced and splotchy within a couple hours even with powder on top. It doesn't have much of a scent, and the color 805 Ivory is a pretty good match for me. I find it to be very flat/matte and I'm not convinced this is the best look for me so I've been playing around the last couple days, mixing it with a little this and a little that. Today I mixed it with a bit of Aloe Vera Gel that I found in a drawer and I liked the result. I know it's supposed to have a primer built in but it did seem to exaggerate dry areas when I put it on my bare skin. I've applied it using a makeup brush and with my fingers but I have a thing about using a Beauty Blender with a "tap tap tap" motion and prefer that over everything else. I can't imagine wearing powder over this. Overall I like it better than anything else I've used, although admittedly I've only use drugstore foundations.
This foundation is way to thick for me, good coverage if your looking for heavy coverage. I have super sensitive skin, and it blogged my pores.
So, let me start this off by saying that I absolutely hate most Cover Girl products and they have never impressed me. I saw a lot of rave reviews and thought I would try it out to see if it's worth all the hype, and so far I haven't been disappointed.
You get 1 fl. oz. of foundation, average for foundation, in a PUMP bottle, which is fantastic. Not only that, but the pump locks as well.
It's about a medium-thickness consistency, it's not terribly thick but it's also a lot thicker than, say, L'oreal's True Match foundation. I've noticed a little goes a long way with this, one pump (or less) is about right for my entire face.
It blends easily, and has really nice coverage. When I first put it on, I thought it looked weird, but after about ten minutes it was looking flawless. Sets pretty fast too, and it doesn't give me that feeling like it's going to transfer everywhere. I still set it with my Hard Candy Welcome Matte powder out of habit.
It's not a completely matte finish, I'd say it's somewhere between... matte and satin? It doesn't make your face look totally flat.
Six hours later it's still looking good. I have a really oily t-zone, and I'm used to touching up every couple hours, but my face is still looking good with this! Haven't noticed it oxidizing yet either.
One thing that's a bummer for me, and why I knocked off one lippie, is the shade selection. It's a pretty good range, and I got the lightest, 805 Ivory, but it's just a little too dark. I'm used to that with drugstore foundations though, it's hard for Snow White's to find something pale enough for their skin at Walmart or Target. So, I'm hoping they'll expand the range if this foundation gets to be popular enough. Might mix it in with my current Graftobian foundation to lighten it up a bit.
Overall, I'm really happy with this, and I would recommend trying it out. I got mine for under $10 at Walmart.
Wanted to update a bit, I mixed it with my Graftobian foundation (Silk Sprite) and it's still going good. Color matches near perfectly now, and it still has the finish of the Cover Girl foundation and seems to be staying shine-free, exactly what I was hoping.
It really feels like you're wearing nothing, not mask-like at all (although, I'm used to more full-coverage foundations, if you're used to just a tinted moisturizer or something it may feel a little heavy). Touching my face it still feels like nothing is on it, feels very smooth and skin-like and also photographs well.
