Does not smell good on me but my mom wears it and it smells fantastic on her. She gets tons of compliments.
I really like Chance. I have Coco Mlle that I reserve for formal or nightime wear but layering Chance over my Coco Mlle body lotion is a great way to wear it. It's got a beautiful dry-down of musky fruits that I find very rich without being heavy. It has the best components of a more casual fragrance without the cloying or overpowering fruit of something less sophisticated.
Smells like Coco Mademoiselle, which I prefer. For someone that finds Coco Mademoiselle too heavy on the patchouli, though, I suppose this is a reasonable choice as it's a bit lighter. Personally I don't like scents that copy other scents though
I'm a big Chanel fan, but this, oh man, this is the worst perfume I've ever smelled. It's so plain, dull, boring, sweet, tooty-fruity and so NOT Chanel. Poor Coco is probably turning over in her grave! I can understand how anyone can buy this stuff!
I had to give my sample away. So far the Chanel fragrance I like the least. The only one I actually like so far is Coco Mlle, but the others fall in between that and Chance. Actually, of all the fragrances I've sampled on my skin, this is the one I disliked the most.
I have a generous sized sample of this and I must say, I like it better than most of Chanel's other fragrances (though not as much as Coco Mademoiselle). This is my kind of fragrance, though. I like the warm, slightly musky, and oriental scents. This has a lightness to it though--I think it's the citrus notes. Not entirely distinctive, but one that I can wear well. I may purchase a full size someday but I'm in no hurry. This seems nice, but not a "must-have".
Top-Base notes: Pink Pepper, Citron, Hyacinth, Jasmine, Iris Absolute, Fresh Vetiver, Amber Patchouli, White Musk
Considering the other fragrances in the Chanel line, this is a lot less "old lady" as previous reviewers have said or at least that is what Chanel tried to do with this fragrance. Though heavy in florals, the pepper is fresh, but a bit too spicy for me sometime. I like this fragrance, but I don't think I can wear it all the time. It's not the type of the scent that everyone can wear, and if you do, wear just a bit and it's enough. It does not have the classic quality of some of the other Chanel fragrance so I'll probably may not wear this for years. Still, this is an all occasion and season type of scent. Chanel has this in a variety of packages including the regular circular bottle, the twist and spray, and now, a roll on parfume bottle for dabbing on pulse points. Overall, a good fragrance albeit overpriced for what it is. continued >>
I got this as a gift and after spraying the scent was heavy for a slight spray.
It immediately gave off a horrible imposterous scent.
This was a let down by chanel in my opinion. There was nothing new and exciting about the fragrance. It Sprayed very heavy. It left behind the unpleasant lingering fragrance.Wouldn't recomend it for ladies who like oriental notes or unique blendable notes.
This is one of my daytime fragrances. It's slightly sweet and floral and not too overpowering. But it isn't too young either- it has that French note to it, so it's more sophisticated than most daytime scents. One of my fav fragrances is Coco Mademoiselle- but that is too strong for day, so this is a perfect compliment to it. Very nice scent!
I love this fragrance, sexy, young, feminine with a subtle indecent sexual side.
Guys love it!
