I bought this product because I thought they looked like Lakers colors. I think this duo is pretty good. The colors are nice.

I love the Hip duos, and this one isn't my favorite, but I still like it a lot. Like some of the other reviewers have mentioned, the purple is weak. It isn't as thickly pigmented as the other Hip shadows, and it is difficult to apply. The color isn't saturated, and comes off matte and kind of splotchy unless you are careful. The yellow on the other hand, is fantastic. It is definitely flamboyant! It is thickly pigmented, shimmery, and thick. It's a unique color and looks great on.
Agree with previous reviewer, purple is too dull. I found it to go on smoothly, but even when I layered it on, the pigment didn't pop like my other L'oreal HIP eyeshadows. Definitely needs some work, this one.
Ok, this is a toughy....simply cause...the purple in this duo is....not so good. I don't want to be cruel to eye shadow so...I'm gonna attack the brand...L'Oreal...
"L'Oreal, look....you have put out the most unbelievable products for unbeatable prices and now, you release this purple color that applies like rubbish. It isn't true to the color in the pot, it's dull and splotchy when applied, the only way I can wear this is mixed with another eyeshadow color from another brand. That is no good..."
On the other hand, the yellow/gold in this duo is FREAKIN FANTASTIC! I love the yellow in this duo and I am super pissed that they don't carry it in a single, so I will buy this again...just for the yellow/gold. I find it is super uniquely shaded and has one of a kind over and undertones. Love that gold, the purple needs to be put in time out.
xoxoxo

Its usage is very flexible. It can be for a day or night use, natural or glam.
I got my first one for its regular price then I wanted to try out the other colors and found a Buy One, Get One for Free deal at a drugstore somewhere (forgot where :p) and they're a keeper! This color is nice, I use the gold a lot as base tho. :D The purple, you can play with the color as you wish- put it on with a dry eyeshadow applicator if you don't like it too intense. The pigments stand out more when applied with a slightly damp eyeshadow brush.
Still, my fave duo so far is the metallic bright shadow (the dark, metallic brown as an eyeliner!) :x
They have it on sale at Long's when we dropped by the store today! :D
I just love this duo! It's such a gorgeous playoff with each color and the color on my lids are just as pretty, too! I'll use the gold on my lid and then apply the purple right on my crease. I get so many compliments with this duo.
The only thing I would gripe about is that you have to, HAVE TO apply anti crease creme and/or sticky base before applying and you kinda have to pack on the purple for it to become the the color in the pot.

i first bought Flamboyant a few years ago. i needed a bright yellow/gold color & this one fit the bill. it has a great consistency especially when applied wet. the gold really pops & it's super bright (i used this a long time ago, before i even knew what the UDPP was lol).
i took two lippies off for the purple side & the price. the purple didn't work for me, even when i tried applying it wet. it just made it look even chalkier. i also don't like the fact that i haveta wait til the BOGO sale comes around to get these. i find them to be just a bit too pricey for drugstore make-up ;x
overall, i would deff buy this color again.
note: CVS is having a BOGO sale this upcoming week of 2/15-2/21 for L'Oreal HIP ! :] continued >>

The matte purple works for me better as a daytime accent rather than a full sweep of color. I dot it at the center of my upper lid at the lashline, atop my typical brown shadow and after applying black mascara and deep brown shadow-as-liner. It intensifies the brown of my eyes without looking like I'm wearing purple (it's just a dot) and adds a little warmth that people pick up on without knowing why. I have yet to try it as a stand-alone color. I'm looking forward to trying it wet per other reviews.
Well, i wouldnt buy this particular shade again. I feel the gold color is not too bad, it shwos up allright. Right amount of shimmer. but not too pigmented. but the purple is horrible. its chalky, takes forever to even show up on my skin, which frustrates me cuz i love the color, and when its on my lids, its nothing less than an ugly matte color tht ppl might find difficult to even tell the exact shade of it. stay away from this, unless u want the gold color
I have 12 of the HIP duos, i love all of them but this one is absolutely my favorite. I used UDPP and both colors popped like crazy. Somewhere always seems to be having a buy one get one free sale on HIP produts. This purple, along with the reckless due are the best lower end purples i've found. way better than nyx.
