It's been a long time since I've exfoliated, simply because I haven't found any product I could use without disastrous results--inflaming my rosacea, making my skin peel more, causing breakouts, and so on. I bought this stupid-expensive scrub/mask based on multiple reviews that portrayed this product as moisturizing and gentle. I find it is both and I love it. Goodbye flakes, hello Gorgeous! I would go without ice cream to buy this stuff again. UPDATE 4/27/08: I ended up giving this to a friend. I loved everything about it, but the friction from the sugar--even when I let the granules mostly dissolve--irritated my skin. I'm now using an enzyme-based exfoliator, which is working much better for me. I think that the Fresh product would work beautifully for anyone with normal skin, but if your skin is ridiculously sensitive or supremely rosaceous, it might not be for you.

This is fantastic! I have pretty sensitive skin, and this doesn't irritate it at all but leaves it soft and glowing. It smells so good and I actually look forward to using it. It's by far the best scrub I have ever tried. It feels really natural, unlike the Kiehl's papaya scrub which feels like liqiud plastic

I consider myself to have pretty much normal skin (somewhat oily at times, somewhat combination at other times, and obviously I get the ocassional pimple/breakout every now and then), but my skin isn't very tempermental and doesn't have too many problems.

I use this scrub 1-2 times per week and I find that thats enough for my skin. It suggests on the jar that 3-4 times a week is fine, but I think that would be too much for *my* skin. If you have tougher/oilier skin this may be okay for you, though.

I wouldn't describe this scrub as being too harsh because it's a scrub- that is what it is supposed to do, effectively exfoliate your skin! I apply hardly any pressure when massaging this into my face and that seems to be enough to get great exfoliation. Since it is a scrub AND and mask in one product you are supposed to leave it on for about 10 minutes after exfoliating. If you have oily/acne prone skin I might not reccomend this. The scrub is composed mostly (based on the texture/feel, not the ingredients) of sugar and oils and this may be too rich for your skins liking. My skin type and drier skin types will love what this does for your skin: After I wash it off after the 10 minutes is up, I am left with soft, smooth, glowing skin.

The scent of this product is wonderful. It's not perfumery and overpowering- but instead it's natural and citrusy. I don't think it smells like strawberries (is it supposed to?). Also, the jar looks simple and classy, and is generally quite nice looking, but it's not very practical. I would prefer a plastic jar (I'm pretty sure this one would break if you dropped it on the floor- although I haven't tested this theory =].

Yes, I would buy this face scrub again. It's pleasant to use, smells lovely, and, most importantly to me, it works.

I like this scrub, but it's really expensive. I received a sample at a Neiman's beauty event. It's hydrating due to the oils, so it works well for winter and after I've treated my skin with drying medications. This smells lemon sugary, but not like strawberries. I will have to use this a bit longer and absolutely love it before I decide to purchase a full size jar.

well, i got a sample at sephora. it was obviously and old jar because unfortunately the scrub smelled kind of rotten :( i was hoping for a fruity fragrance. in any case, i tried it when i got home and the scrub itself was nice, like any other, not too harsh but it was grainy. but after i washed it off, i too felt that slimy film on my face and my face felt greasy. i rinsed and rinsed and i couldn't get it off. so i washed my face again with my DHC powder and then it was smooth and felt clean. so, i won't be buying a jar, not for me as i didn't like the feel after i washed the scrub off. (i'm combo skin)

I absolutely LOVE this product. I never would have tried it, but I got a free sample from Sephora, and then--dammit--I hjust ad to have more! It smells so amazing, and it makes my skin look dewy smooth. I also have sensitive skin that generally reacts badly to ANY new product, but I experienced no adverse reaction the first time I used this scrub, nor has it caused me any trouble since.

I will caution about one thing, though. The jar says you can use it on wet or dry skin, but I think wet skin is much better. I tried it on my dry skin last night, and it almost hurt. I immediately added a little water, and it felt amazing. So, for those of you who have sensitive skin, you're probably better off only using it on a wet face!

Expensive (like all Fresh products) but it is a wonderful facial scrub. It's got the brown sugar/fruit/citrus smell that is just divine. It does a very thorough, yet gentle scrub and it leaves your skin soft and moisturized from all the rich oils, not irritated or dry after using, like many scrubs do to me. The Fresh line overall is doing wonders for my skin and this item is a must have in my repetoire.

iiiiiiiii do not like the price of this product one bit. but the actual product i love! i find that a lot of times when face scrubs call themselves gentle, they dont give enough of a scrub. but this does, and it leaves the skin very soft and very glowy afterwards. and its a very pleasant scent. it exfoliates really well, and my face has really never felt so clean and fresh after an exfoliation. normally the little beads are hard to rinse off. welll the brand is "fresh" and i really think that says it all. please buy this. youll love it.

This smells so good, and makes my skin really soft and glowing. I have really sensitive skin and I can't use any chemical exfoliators, but this doesn't make me red at all

LOVE IT! How could you not? The sugar polishes skin smooth and it doubles as a nourishing mask. My skin is dry and sensitive and this product gently exfoliates as the sugar disolves and leaves my skin super hydrated. The smell is so good I want to eat it, yes I know don't and I won't but damn it smells so yummy and my skin glows after I use this. I will repurchase again and again. My only complaint is I wish they sold it in a small/cheap size. 4.2 oz is a big tub and this stuff lasts and lasts. At 55 dollars it's expensive but if smaller sizes were made more people could try this with less strain to the pocketbook. (They used to make a to go size but have discontined them, bummer). Great product, try your local Sephora or Fresh store for a sample. This is my favorite multitasking mask.
