I love this one, it really exfoliates my skin and combined with dream cream it has really helped on my nasty keratosis pilaris. However I don't think this would be suited for very sensitive skin because it really exfoliates and doesn't give a lot of moisture.It smells berry like and very fresh. I didn't have any problems with stains on my(very pale) skin or in my bathroom.

The only problem is that it melts really fast, I solved this by cutting it into small "one shower" pieces and keep the rest of the bar in the fridge. It feels even more refreshing when it's still cold:)

I got this as part of the Very Berry gify box for my birthday and, after reading a bunch of bad reviews, I was worried that it would suck big time. I was very pleasantly surprised!

I adore the blackcurrant smell, so so yummy. I didn't find it scratchy at all... my horrible arms need some serious scrubbing so this worked well for me. I actually liked the black colour. It looked cool and I didn't find that it stained my skin at all.

You need to give the bath a good rinse straight after using it... but really you should be rinsing after every bath anyway so I don't see that as a problem.

Only down side is I found it pretty drying, but my arms are like the sahara anyway.

It loses a lippie cos it's a bit on the messy side, otherwise I love it!

This is heavenly! The smell is refreshing, like ribena! It's less moisturising then Buffy but it's better at scrubbing. The only problem is the colour - it takes ages to get it off and if you leave this on the sink or on another white coloured surface, beware of the consequences

Absolutely love this stuff! I cut my bar up into six pieces so that I get as much as possible out of the bar. It scrubs and melts away in the shower leaving smooth skin and a sweet blackcurrant scent. Yummy! It's main drawback is that it leaves kind of a mess in the shower- be sure to rinse the shower well before you get out, because the black bits in this bar get everywhere.

Overall, very nice to use. Absolutely adore the scent. Will repurchase.

I got this because it is an "airplane safe" body conditioner/moisturizer. I have very dry body skin and is flaky a lot of time. However, I am too lazy to put lotion on everytime after shower. I think the conditioner is the shower is a great idea of me. It does a great job conditioning your skin and it smells really good on the skin. The down parts are that it leaves a mess in the tube and it melts too fast during usage. Otherwise. I love it very much. I am not sure if I will purchase it again though. I think I will try to find other skin conditioner that lasts longer and leaves no mess. Or I will come back to this.

this smells so delicious (just like sultana of a soap and comforter)! it is a little scratchy on my skin but at the same time doesn't really exfoliate (just scratches me), the color is interesting i like the black and don't mind the grey streaks all over the tub and it does moisturize. so basically i use it for the scent.

I loved everything about this - the kinky joky name, the lovely blackcurrant scent, the fact that it's BLACK (my favourite colour - how cool!), the fact that I LOVE all the rest of Lush's exfoliating products and found it so exciting they'd brought out a new one..... Unfortunately, though *I* may have loved everything about You Snap the Whip, my *body* did not. I've NEVER had such a bad allergic reaction to a product, EVER: my skin broke out in big red blisters about ten minutes after I came out the bath. Although this concerned me, I didn't immediately associate it with the body butter bar (I was under a lot of stress at the time), so used the other half of the bar *experimentally* on one arm next time I was in the bath.... and yup. It was You Snap the Whip that caused the reaction. Nasty....... So I'd advise anyone wanting to try this to do a patch test; I'm sure it's a lovely, lovely product for those who're not horribly allergic to it ... for me, it was more like something out of a horror story unfortunately.

I'm stunned at the bad reviews! I am pale beyond pale- and this hasn't stained my skin (or my bathtub). It makes my skin so soft, and really does it's job! And the smell- OMG- it lingers on me all day and I sniff my arm LOL! I love this- my *only* complaint is that it melts fast,too fast and it's pricey to keep buying- I think I only get 4-5 uses out of my bars. But I love the results I've been getting- between this and Sympathy For the Skin, it has banished my dry scaly winter legs and has given me soft, smooth, good smelling skin! :)

I was scared to use this on my very pale skin since some said it stained, but I had no problems with this. It DOES melt very quickly, but I wised up and turned off the shower and used the bar on damp skin and rubbed it all in for 10 minutes or so. Then turned shower back on and used the mesh gloves to rinse off. It isn't the most moisturizing butter, but I have extrememly dry skin so I always have to use lotion after anyway.

Verdict...def buy again, but I will cut into pieces like others have suggested.

As for the dirty ring..just spray down with the shower stuff and rinse. I have a white fiberglass shower and it came right off.

One of my first products from Lush and still a favorite. I like to break up the bar into smaller one use pieces. That way I feel as though I'm getting my money's worth. Smells wonderful!
